Seven Days Seven Nights

Chapter 152

Chapter 152 Time For A Bath And Sleep
Nicholas’ face turned as dark as charcoal, his anger simmering just beneath the surface, ready to be ignited by even the smallest
spark. “What did she say?” he muttered, struggling to comprehend Nancy’s words. “Young hunk? Mature man? Sister-brother
romance? She even said she liked them all and wanted to try them one by one.” He stood by the bedside, silently witnessing her
shocking revelations. If he hadn’t heard it with his own ears, he would have found it impossible to accept.
“Nancy, what about the person you’ve had a crush on for ten years?” His pitch-black eyes locked onto her, his voice laced with a
cold and unyielding tone. “How can you move on as soon as you say you don’t love him?” Though he knew he wouldn’t get an
answer, the burning rage within him continued to smolder.
She was a forgetful woman, capable of forgetting with alarming ease. Furthermore, she had just divorced him two days ago, yet
she was already so eager to find a new boyfriend..
Nicholas felt increasingly uneasy as the reality of the situation sunk in. He grabbed Nancy’s wrist, pulling her towards him and
burying his tall frame in the bed. With one hand supporting himself and the other gripping her wrist, he pressed it against the
headboard, effectively trapping her in his gaze.
way, she had to face him, and the proximity was undeniable.
This
Her flushed and petite face met his, and for the first time in a while, he felt a sense of reassurance and familiarity. Only now did
he start to feel a bit more at ease in his heart after truly seeing her and embracing her.
“Nancy, do you remember that you’ve just divorced? Why are you so eager to look for a boyfriend?” Nicholas suppressed his
anger and asked with restraint.
Nancy briefly opened her eyes, then closed them again, muttering her defiance, “Who are you to control me?”
His response was curt, teeth clenched. “I’m your husband.”
She chuckled as if she had heard a huge joke. “You’re not even a professional liar. Let me tell you...” As she spoke, she reached
out and grabbed onto Nicholas’ arm, her body gracefully bending as she leaned in close to his ear. With a gentle exhale, she
continued, “I’m already divorced. I only have an ex- husband. Where would I get a husband?”

Nancy’s lips brushed against Nicholas’ earlobe, creating an intimate closeness between them. Her warm breath on his skin was
like a gentle caress. This tender sensation tormented him, pushing his emotional restraint to its limits. Words were no longer
necessary; the atmosphere between them was overwhelming. When she finally spoke, her voice took on a breathy, seductive
tone, making him even more defenseless. The tension within him, once taut like a bowstring, snapped with a resounding crash,
shattering into two pieces.
“What a fool!” she remarked, her earlier laughter replaced by criticism as she tried to leave.
However, Nicholas acted swiftly, grabbing Nancy’s waist with one hand and forcefully pulling her closer to him. In that instant, he
understood that there was no way he could let her go. Without hesitation, he pressed his lips to hers, and they kissed. The
intensity of their embrace increased as he greedily savored her unique flavor, consumed by a storm of desire that swept through
them.
“Mm... mmm...” Nancy clenched her fist, her inner turmoil overwhelming her as she struggled against the overwhelming tide of
emotions. With one hand finally free, she raised it. She delivered a powerful slap to Nicholas’ face, a physical manifestation of
her frustration.
The man, as if abruptly awakened, released his grip on her and straightened her disheveled clothes. He looked at her with
tenderness in his eyes and apologized, “Nancy, I’m sorry. I couldn’t control myself.” He had always prided himself on his
unwavering self-control. At that moment, his thoughts were like a stampede of wild horses beyond his control, pushing him to
desire her and make her his own. “Nicholas, you’re despicable!” Fueled by frustration, he clenched his fist and slammed it onto
the table.
Then, Nicholas called room service. “I have a drunk woman here. Please send two people to help.”
“Of course, Mr. Sallow. Please wait a moment. We will send someone over right away.”.
The hotel’s five-star service promptly responded, with staff arriving at the door in less than five minutes. Nicholas instructed
them, “Give her a hot bath and change her into clean clothes.”
“Mr. Sallow, where is this young lady’s nightgown?”
“Wait à moment. I’ll go get it.” After that, Nicholas made a phone call to Luke.
Meanwhile, the situation with Linda was not much better.

The moment she stepped into the room and laid eyes on Luke, her intoxication began to wane, leaving her considerably more
lucid. While she remained inebriated, she could still discern that the man. carrying her was Luke. Her alcohol tolerance was
undoubtedly superior to Nancy’s, thanks to her prior exposure to numerous social drinking occasions. Moreover, the cool night
breeze during the return. journey contributed to her regaining some sobriety.
As Linda set her sights on the man and her thoughts inevitably drifted to Nancy, irritation washed over her. She pointed at him,
her gaze somewhat unfocused, and asked, “Luke? Why are you here? Do you have any idea how much I don’t want to see you
right now, especially when you’re associated with Nicholas?”
“Linda, you’re drunk. I’m here to help you take a bath and go to sleep,” Luke assured her, pulling her
closer.
However, she seemed to have an uncanny ability to sense his action as her eyes twinkled mischievously. Subsequently, she
retreated to a corner and crouched down, hiding from his view.
Pointing her hand at Luke with a dissatisfied expression, Linda quipped, “None of you men are any good. You’re all playing both
sides. Nicholas is one, and it seems you’re no different. Don’t think I don’t know why you’ve come to find me.”
Her slurred words grew progressively more offensive, causing his demeanor to turn colder. He reached out and forcefully pulled
her into his chest, asserting, “Go take a bath and then sleep.”
Linda sensed that Luke was upset, and under normal circumstances, she might not argue with him. However, today was
different; she wanted to defy him while intoxicated, just to test the boundaries. “I don’t want to,” she protested, pushing him away.
“I’m not tired. Let me go.”
“I’ll say it again. Go take a shower.” His aura became even colder, and his voice dropped in volume.
Without giving her a chance to respond, he dragged her into the bathroom, while she continued to resist. “I don’t want to. I’m not
tired, and I don’t want to sleep.”
He fixed his intense gaze on her. “At least take a bath. Or do you want me to stay with you?” He couldn’t ignore the strong smell
of alcohol emanating from her. “You reek of alcohol, he scolded sternly. “I’ve told you not to drink, but you’ve ended up like this.”
Just then, Luke’s phone rang, and Linda seized the opportunity to push him away in frustration while he reached for the phone
call. “I’ll wash up on my own. I don’t need your help

Nicholas arrived promptly, having been informed of the room number. As Luke opened the door for Nicholas, he couldn’t resist
making a joke. “You’re quick. The two of you, ex-husband and ex-wife, sharing a room. Have you done anything to satisfy your
desires?”
Nicholas responded with a cold glance, his scrutiny of Luke’s attire revealing his displeasure. In a frigid tone, he asked, “What
have you done to Linda?”
