Chapter 128 -
"Cas, are you all right?" When Dove noticed the shards and splinters on the floor, she quickly ran to Castor's side worriedly.
"Dove, go upstairs right now. No matter what, do not come downstairs unless I tell you so," Castor said gravely with a frown.
Tristan chuckled before interjecting, "Dove, as long as you leave with me tonight, I won't do anything to harm your brother. Otherwise, I'll thrash this place!"
"You despicable bastard! Hell no!" Dove's tone was icy.
"Tristan, that girl is a beauty. Plus, she's feisty too! Haha!" David could not help but stare at Dove lecherously. He looked extremely perverted at that time.
"So, you're interested in her as well? I don't mind sharing with another person. The more, the merrier! Haha!" Tristan laughed.
At that moment, Dustin shuffled forward reluctantly and said, "Tristan, David, Castor's my friend. Stop messing around with him for my sake, okay?"
It was only then Tristan turned to look at him. A lopsided smirk made its way across his face a moment later. "For your sake, you say? Dustin Bowie, who the fuck do you think you are? Fuck off, or else I'll beat you up as well!"
Tristan burst out laughing the moment he was done talking. Even David was chuckling at the side.
Dustin's face was a shade of deep magenta due to the humiliation. He did not expect Tristan to be so arrogant to the point where he did not bother saving his face in front of everyone.
"It's fine, Dustin. This has nothing to do with you. You should leave." Having noticed Dustin's awkward situation, Castor tried to usher him away politely.
However, Dustin was a prideful man. He would not be able to show his face in the Capital City if he were to tolerate Tristan's behavior.
"Tristan, if it wasn't for Savannah, the Andersons wouldn't have achieved their current status, and you wouldn't have the guts to act so arrogantly in front of me! Don't forget how I used to beat you up a few years ago!" Dustin roared.
When Tristan heard the response, his expression gradually darkened. He gritted out through his teeth, "Right. I had completely forgotten the past if you weren't kind enough to mention it. Thanks for the reminder. Fuck him up, boys! I want to see him on the verge of death!"
The moment his words fell, David's subordinates dashed toward Dustin and the others. The women who hung out with them quickly dodged the upcoming brawl. The sexy woman did not forget to drag Dove away as well. She suddenly remembered something and said hurriedly, "Dove, aren't you friends with Master Asher? Hurry up and call him! He's the only one who can deal with this matter!"
Originally, Dove did not want to cause trouble for Asher, but it was obvious that Tristan came fully prepared. Castor, Dustin, and the other men were obviously not their match. Left without a choice, Dove could only call Asher's number.
David's subordinates were clearly different compared to the gangsters in the city. These people were very brutal, not to mention that they moved and fought well too. Soon, Dustin and the others were bruised and battered as they collapsed on the ground.
Even though Castor was still holding on, the injuries he had sustained were quite grave. An idea popped into Dove's mind just as she watched the brawl worriedly. She quickly yelled, "Tristan, tell them to stop! I'll leave with you!"
Undoubtedly, Dove was just trying to buy everyone time. After all, Asher had already received her phone call, and she believed that he would arrive as soon as he could.
However, Castor did not know her plan. He roared angrily, "Dove, go upstairs right now! Don't screw around!"
"Cas, I can't just sit by and watch them beat you up!" After that, Dove continued, "Tristan, tell them to stop right now! You can do whatever you want to me!"
When Tristan heard her response, a perverted smile quickly spread across his face. "All right. Stop beating them up, boys. You gave me your word, Dove. If you dare to go back on your word, I'II definitely fuck you up! Castor, I'll let bygones be bygones for your sister's sake. Make sure to be polite to me from now on. If you dare to provoke me again, I'll send you packing back to Rollinsford."
Castor had no intention to listen to Tristan's bullshit. He grabbed Dove's wrist tightly and roared with bloodshot eyes, "I won't let you leave without my permission!"
Tristan slammed his palm on the table and yelled, "Castor Yaeger, I'm being generous to you for Dove's sake! Don't be so insensible! Otherwise, you'll definitely regret having provoked me!" "Why would you drag an innocent girl into the battle between us men? Tristan, come at me if you're a real man! If you dare to lay a finger on my sister, I won't let you go!" Castor howled through gritted teeth.
"How dare you threaten me!" Tristan cast a disdainful look in Castor's direction. "Since you dare to say those things to me, I'll make sure to fuck your sister real good tonight! Take her away!"
David licked his lips hungrily before commenting with a half-smile, "Tristan, do you want to take
her to my place? My house is pretty large. You can do whatever you want there."
"All right! Let's go to your place later! We'll have fun with her tonight! Haha!" Tristan guffawed in satisfaction.
That perverted conversation made Dove's face go red out of humiliation and anger, but her gaze was incredibly cold.
When David's subordinates went to grab Dove, Castor yanked an empty bottle and snarled with bloodshot eyes, "Come at me if you're not afraid of death!"
Dove whispered into her brother's ear, "Cas, I called Asher just now. He'll be here soon." After hearing her whisper, Castor realized that she did all of that just to drag out the fight for Asher's sake. He heaved a mental sigh of relief, his bravado now renewed.
Meanwhile, Tristan sounded very pissed. "Castor, I'll count to three right now. If you refuse to let me take Dove away, I'll make you shut down this restaurant permanently!"
However, after he was done with the countdown, Castor still remained protectively in front of Dove. His display of bravery ticked Tristan off as he roared, "Demolish this place!" Shriek!
At that moment, a harsh grating sound drifted from outside the restaurant. An Audi was parked right outside the entrance of the restaurant.
"Fuck! If you don't know how to drive, don't go around showing off your so-called skills!" Tristan's seat was very close to the door to begin with. When he noticed the car coming at him, instincts took over as he jumped out of his seat to avoid it. His gaze fell on the Audi; for some reason, the more he stared at it, the more familiar it became to him. It was as if he had seen that car before.
David also rose to his feet with a frown. He said to one of his men, "Go check out who's the driver. That son of a bitch seems pretty arrogant."
That subordinate nodded obediently and was about to go out when the driver opened the Audi's door. A tall and slim man stepped out of the car. His appearance stunned both Tristan and David. They could not believe that Asher Crawford, the bane of their existence, was actually there.
"Asher, they went ahead and beat up Cas! Not only that, but they also tried to take me away!" Upon noticing Asher getting out of the car, Dove ran over to him and pointed at the perpetrators angrily.
"Tristan, are you trying to fuck me up? You never told me this woman knows Asher Crawford of all people!" David whispered to Tristan furiously.
On the other hand, Tristan was also bummed out. It was no wonder he felt that the Audi looked familiar; he was the one who used his own money to purchase it in the first place. Of course, he would recognize it anywhere! However, he never would have expected that Dove and Asher were acquaintances. How was that even possible?
At that moment, Castor approached Asher and greeted him respectfully, "Master Asher." Dustin and Barry did their best to get up while enduring the pain of their injuries. They followed behind Castor and greeted Asher as well.
"Master Asher, they got beaten up because they tried to help me out just now," Castor explained. Asher asked, "Are your injuries severe?"
The trio shook their heads immediately and claimed that they were doing fine.
Asher nodded once to acknowledge their responses. Then, he turned his head around to look at Tristan and David. Tristan was an old adversary, whereas David was no stranger to him as well. He remembered the latter being one of Joel's subordinates as he had met him a few times in the past.
Tristan instantly felt guilty the moment he felt Asher's gaze on him. He squeezed out a fake smile as he inquired, "M-Master Asher, I had no idea they're your friends. Please calm down. We'll leave at once."
David nodded and added respectfully, "Master Asher, Tristan was the one who requested my help. If I had known that they're under your protection, I wouldn't have come here to cause them trouble in the first place."
As for Dove, she was just staring at Asher with a lovesick expression on her face. He showed up at the restaurant on his own without even uttering a word, and yet both Tristan and David were so scared that they were doing whatever they could just to survive. This must be the power that only the true elites held.
Asher glanced at Tristan before turning to look at Castor and the others, who were bruised and battered. He grabbed a stool, sat down, and said, "So, you think you can come and go as you please, eh, Tristan? Do you honestly think this restaurant belongs to you?" Asher crossed his legs with a poker face, a regal aura flaring from his form. Despite Tristan and David having a lot of people on their side, all of them could only stand there and watch him silently. None of them dared to breathe out loud.
The customers, who were cowering in various corners, all stared at Asher in shock. Someone asked, "Who's that young man? He seems super strong!"
A young woman swooned, "Not only that, but he's also a looker! He's definitely my type!" "With the way you look, I think you should just give up on him. Don't you realize that the beauty over there is in love with him? Ever since he walked into this restaurant, she's been staring at him as if he's the only one in the room! With a beauty swooning over him like that, do you think he'll spare you even a glance?"
Dove happened to be standing quite close to the customers, not to mention that she had very sharp ears. She eavesdropped on the conversation, and knew that the customers were referring to her as the beauty. Her face was soon flushed scarlet out of embarrassment, and there was a bashful smile decorating her face.
