Scars Of A Broken Bond

Chapter 1613

Tyrone locked up and sneered, "You think you can hide your true intentions under the guise of looking out for Jennie? If you've known about her true identity all along, why keep it a secret until now?

"I admit I have my reasons, but it's mostly for your benefit. Keilani is the ideal partner for you. Plus, she's Jennie's mother. You two are meant to be. Why resist it so much? Kira retorted.

Tyrone scowled. "You always think you're right, always putting yourself first. You never really consider my feelings or what I want."

Kira claimed she acted for the sake of Jennie and him, yet they both ended up unhappy under her arrangement. If Kiral truly had their best interests at heart, she wouldn't have revealed Jennie's biological parents at that precise moment or supported a union between him and Keilani, knowing his feelings for Sabrina.

Now, Tyrone was at a loss on how to proceed with Sabrina, who now despised him. Kira's actions led Jennie to discover she was born out of wedlock, causing a rift between her and Sabrina.

This secret could have remained hidden forever. Even without knowing Jennie was his biological child, Tyrone would have cared for her and shielded her from harm.

But Kira acted out of self-interest. She simply couldn't bear the thought of Sabrina as his wife, so she did everything in her power to drive them apart. To her, Jennie was nothing more than a pawn. The moment Kira revealed Jennie's biological parents, Tyrone refused to recognize Kira as his mother anymore.

"Tyrone, I never thought you'd come up with such an idea. You've really let me down." Kira gazed at Tyrone with sorrow. "Had I known this sooner, I wouldn't have given birth to you. Then, I wouldn't have had to spend my life overseas. It wasn't my decision to keep you overseas. That was Horace's doing."

Kira was so adamant, shifting all the blame for her breakup with Horace on Rita without seeing the true cause, wrongly developing a grudge against Sabrina, Rita's biological daughter.

Kira argued, "Your father and I were so well-suited for each other. If only Rita hadn't lured him away..."

In Kira's book, all men were the same. Horace was lured away by Rita, a barmaid back then, and Tyrone was no different. How could Sabrina, the barmaid's daughter, be together with Tyrone? Sabrina was not worthy of Tyrone at all.

Tyrone scoffed and cut Kira off, "I've got other things to handle. If there's nothing important, please, don't bother me. I don't have the patience for your grievances."

With that, he got up and left the office. Ignoring Kira's reaction, he went straight to the elevator.

Upon reaching Starry Apartment, Jennie was there to greet Tyrone at the door.

Once inside, Tyrone shut the door and faced Jennie, asking, "Jennie, what's all this about? Did you realize you had scared the driver? What happened?""

Both the driver and the kindergarten principal were scared, fearing something might have happened to Jennie.  Update first at NôvelDráma. Org.

Jennie hung her head, feeling wronged, and shared, "Everyone said I'm a child born out of wedlock. Tyrone, it makes me really sad..."

Tyrone's heart went out to her. He leaned down, lifted Jennie into his arms, and cautioned, "You shouldn't leave the kindergarten by yourself. What if someone takes you away?

"I promise I won't do it again, Jennie assured him, her head lowered in apology.

"What went down at kindergarten today? he inquired.

"That woman came to my kindergarten..." Jennie gave a short explanation.

Tyrone's brow furrowed, a hint of annoyance in his gaze. "Does Keilani often come by the kindergarten to see you?"

Jennie nodded. "She visited once before the DNA test. She said she wanted to give me a present because she found me adorable. She's really strange."

"I understand. I'll make sure she doesn't come to the kindergarten to bother you again."

"Alright."

"Go ahead and play."

Upon entering the house, Tyrone heard some sounds coming from the kitchen. He set Jennie down and made his way to the kitchen. "Sabrina."

Sabrina glanced at Tyrone. "You're here. Have you eaten yet?"

"Not yet."

"Well, then let's eat together."

Tyrone couldn't hide his excitement at Sabrina's suggestion and replied with a hint of uncertainty, "Thanks for all your help today. I know you're not keen on seeing Jennie, so I was planning to take her away. In the future...."

"When did I ever say I didn't want to see her? Sabrina asked, frowning.

"I just assumed..."

"Do you really think I'm that heartless? Sabrina cut Tyrone off. "I've spent time with Jennie recently. Do you think I'd avoid her just because of her biological parents?"

"Of course not, Tyrone responded with a smile. "Sabrina, you're the most compassionate person I know. So..." *Please don't take Jennie to Wanda's place anymore."

Tyrone was taken aback by her request and quickly agreed, "Okay. I'll handle everything in the kitchen. You can leave this to me."

Tyrone couldn't contain his smile. Sabrina had forgiven him so easily? He had wanted to tell her his plan for Jennie to stay at Wanda's place, but it seemed unnecessary now. He had racked his mind to come up with a solution. To think it could be resolved so simply!

Feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders, Tyrone found himself more at ease at preparing the dinner.

"Alright." Sabrina handed the apron to Tyrone before leaving the kitchen.

After they finished eating. Tyrone cleared the table, taking the plates and bowls to the kitchen, while Sabrina wiped the table clean.

Once Tyrone had dried his hands, he stepped out of the kitchen. "Alright, time to head home."

Jennie got up from the couch, glanced at Sabrina, and hesitantly followed Tyrone.

Sabrina walked them to the door, saying, "Take care. I won't walk you out."

"Sabrina, you have to come visit me." Jennie stared at Sabrina expectantly.

Sabrina nodded. "I will. Just make sure not to run out of school by yourself, alright?"

Jennie smiled. "Okay."

Tyrone paused, looking surprised. He turned around and asked, "You're not coming with us?"

Sabrina quirked an eyebrow. "Did I ever say I was going with you?"

Tyrone was stunned. Upon recalling their recent conversation in the kitchen, he realized Sabrina had never mentioned returning with him. He got the wrong idea. He simply jumped to the conclusion. She hadn't agreed to be with him. Her request for him to take Jennie home was merely out of sympathy.

"Sabrina, you..." Tyrone wanted to say something. But Sabrina cut him off, "Look, it's getting late. You better head

back now."

Sabrina gave Tyrone a wink. Talking about it wasn't a good idea since Jennie was around.

Tyrone was aware that Sabrina had requested he escort Jennie back to Starriver Bay. Suggesting to Jennie that she return to Wanda's place right now would leave Jennie feeling let down.

However, if Tyrone took Jennie to Starriver Bay now, it might become hard to entrust Jennie to Wanda's care in the future. What if Sabrina refused to come back to Starriver Bay?

Before Tyrone could say anything, Sabrina abruptly closed the door.

Jennie gave Tyrone a look of sympathy and said, "Tyrone, let's just go. She's not coming back with you."

"What did she tell you?" Tyrone inquired, noticing Jennie's assurance.

"She is pregnant. She finds Kira a bit too much to handle and prefers staying here to take care of the baby."

"You said what? Baby?" Tyrone's eyes widened.
