Chapter 3043
Vince's lips curled into a cold grin when he looked at Nathan, who was still recovering and whose hair had turned white.
"A sick tiger is nothing to be afraid of. Who of you here is willing to kill him for me and avenge Niels?"
Nathan had slaughtered many vampires, and the most well-known among them was the vampire earl Niels Tulin.
Vince's subordinates were more or less afraid of Nathan. However, as Nathan had yet to recover from his old injuries, their fear diminished.
Everyone was afraid to deal with a hot potato, but who wouldn't want to join in on the fun of stomping on a pushover?
At the end of Vince's question, a tall figure stepped out it was Nicholas.
Nicholas yelled, "I'm willing to be your vanguard, Your Grace!"
Then he strode over to Nathan confidently.
Colin and the Elite Eight were ready to stop Nicholas in his tracks, but Ava beat them to it.
She scoffed, "Who do you even think you are? Do you think someone of your caliber is worthy enough for Mr. Cross to deal with you personally? Let me send you to your afterlife." Anger stirred within Nicholas. Another pupil emerged in each of his eyes. It was a horrifying sight to behold.
"You must be sick of living, women! Your wish is my command."
With that, he charged toward Ava.
Ava unsheathed a dagger with a turn of her hand and lunged at Nicholas. A fierce battle ensued.
Nicholas was agile, like a phantom.
Ava's kicks were sharp like a lightning bolt.
Both of them were exceptional in the battle of speed. They looked like a couple of butterflies as they fought, parting and meeting again as they flitted from one spot to the other. Slash!
A split moment of inattentiveness earned Nicholas a cut across his chest from Ava's dagger.
Everyone was shocked, not because Ava injured Nicholas, but because the wound that Ava dealt him had smoke rising from it.
Nicholas yelled in pain and hurriedly stepped back to examine his wound.
Looking down at the severely burned wound, Nicholas glared at Ava. "You're using a mithril weapon!"
Mithril weapon?
The vampires paled at the mention of the mithril weapon. Even Vince's brows were furrowed.
Nathan glanced at the weapon in Ava's hand in puzzlement. What is a mithril weapon? Why do the
vampires fear it? Is it a weapon that is specifically made to deal with vampires?
Ava was no less surprised than the rest.
She got the weapon when she was working as an assassin overseas After completing a tough
assassination assignment, she received that dagger as her reward.

Ava heard the weapon was made of mithril and had a special effect against evil non-human species such as vampires and werewolves.
She had thought that hearsay was merely a lie and that she had been tricked.
However, she still decided to keep the dagger since the handicraft was exquisite and the design was stunning. Never once did it cross her mind that the dagger would prove to be useful one day after so many years. Ava answered coldly, "Who cares what weapon this is? It's a good weapon as long as it can kill you."
She approached Nicholas at a terrifying speed the second she finished, planning to catch her opponent off guard. Nicholas' eyes widened at the sudden swift attack. He wanted to dodge but realized it was too late.
Swoosh!
In the blink of an eye, Ava had swept past Nicholas.
When the two passed by each other, Ava pierced Nicholas' chest with the mithril dagger.
"Argh!"
An agonized howl echoed across the scene, and smoke began to rise from Nicholas' chest.
A hole as big as a fist appeared in his chest. It was an appalling sight.
Nicholas clenched his chest and toppled backward to the ground with a loud thud. He was dead on the spot.
Ava was stunned as she didn't expect her dagger to be so helpful in a fight.
The vampires' expressions turned grim.
The sight of his subordinate dying from the mithril weapon that vampires hated the most had rage flowing through Vince.
"Lowly humans! You dare oppose us and kill my subordinate? I'll kill all of you!"
