Salute To The General

Chapter 254 I Know Why They Are Here

Chapter 254 I Know Why They Are Here

At the Zabinski family home.

When Kingston Zabinski found out about the death of his son and the arrest of thousands of the family

followers, he fainted right away.

After he was awakened, he gave a deep sigh. "Our family's power comes from these followers

controlling the underworld of all the Southern cities. With Finley dead and countless men captured, the

Zabinski family is headed for ruination."

Charles Zabinski, his second son, reassured him, "Dad, the Zabinski family still has me and you. As

long as we're still alive, the family will be fine."

Feeling comforted, Kingston looked into his son's eyes as he said, "My body is no longer as it was

before. Now that your brother is dead, you'll have to step up and handle the family affairs temporarily."

"Of course, dad. Get some rest. I'll arrange Finley and Jerry's funerals first before I avenge them."

Nodding his head slowly, the old man painstakingly reminded, "Be careful. The Zabinski family cannot

afford any more trouble.”

Charles left his father's room, closing the door gently.

Turning to his underling, he ordered, "Gather all the best fighters we have to head to Channing with

me. I want to meet with Shannon Russo of the Russo family. With the both of us working together,

there's no way that bastard, Nathan Cross, can survive."

"Yes, sir!"

By the time Kylie and Nathan arrived back at Riverside Garden, it was already evening.

Stepping into the house, they realized the living room was filled with people.

It was the Smith family that has come to visit. Sean had brought Samuel, Paul and the others with him

here today.

Penny had an uncomfortable look on her face as she said, "Grandpa, Uncle Sam, Uncle Paul, Cross

Corporations really doesn't lack any funds right now. I'm afraid I can't agree to your request to buy our

shares at lower prices."

When Nathan heard Penny's words, his face instantly hardened. Every single time these bunch of men

came, it was always with bad intentions. Either they were trying to take advantage of the situation, or

they were here to exacerbate things.

Ever since news of Cross Corporations obtaining the distribution rights to the vaccine was leaked out,

the company shares had been steadily increasing every day. Naturally, this meant none of the current

shareholders were willing to sell as they were earning a hefty profit.

Previously, the Smiths had owned 48% of the company shares. When the company ran into some

difficulties, they had sold away all their shares without a second thought. Now that the stock prices

were skyrocketing, they deeply regretted their hasty actions.

Obviously, the main purpose for their visit here today was to get Penny to sell them the shares at a

lower price.

As he made his way further into the living room, Nathan said coldly, "Why are you here again? I thought

I already told you, if you want Cross Corporations' shares, you can buy them on the stock market just

like everybody else."

Realizing Nathan was home, Sean and his ilk exchanged nervous glances. They knew it would be

difficult to get their way if he was around.

Queenie darted towards her father, calling out, "Papa! Aunt Kylie!"

A smile bloomed on the man's face as he bent down to scoop his daughter into his arms. "Back from

kindergarten already? Were you a good girl today?”

teacher even gave me a little red flower!"

Patting her head, he praised, "That's great!"

The Smiths had been trying to use 'we're family' as an excuse to force Penny to do as they wished.

They kept accusing her of being selfish as to keep the profits to herself. Why could she not share it with

her dear family? Draмaոovеls.cом

Thankfully, Nathan arrived back home before she broke down and agreed.

Leaning closer to him, she mumbled, "Nathan, Grandpa..."
