Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)

Chapter 1151

Colby planted a gentle kiss on Sophie's lips, a kiss brimming with longing. The bathroom was steamy, making Sophie's face flush an even deeper shade of red. In a low, husky voice, Colby murmured, "Darling, don't you think you owe me a proper wedding night? Shouldn't you make it up to me, with interest?" "Don't you dare," Sophie shot back, her face turning crimson. "Once! Just once!"

"Hmm? Ten times, you say?"

The next day, Sophie woke up in the soft, oversized bed, feeling sore all over. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this exhausted, not even after that day when she was chased for over two hours.

She glanced at Colby, who was lying beside her, already awake. Pouting, she said, "Colby, from now on... I want to sleep in separate rooms!"

"There's only one master bedroom here. You'll never get to sleep away from me, ever," he replied, pulling her into a tighter embrace.

Meanwhile, over at the Burke Estate-

"Sophie and Colby haven't finished their wedding night yet? It's already afternoon!" Adler exclaimed from the living room, glancing uneasily at Timothy, who was busy in the kitchen.

Seeing Adler so jittery, Jenna tried to calm him down. "What's there to worry about? Mr. Gordon said, as long as they're here, nothing will happen."

"Really? Why do I feel like that kid's gaze has turned cold? Last night he was a compliant little lamb, and today he's showing his true colors?"

In the kitchen, Timothy was cooking

but kept a vigilant eye on the scene outside. Although there were guards patrolling the Burke Estate, the security didn't seem as intimidating as the rumors suggested. However, upon closer inspection, Timothy noticed over twenty miniature cameras scattered around the yard, alarms hidden among the flower beds, and a plethora of infrared devices-so sensitive they could detect even a passing mosquito.

Any suspicious person at Burke Estate would be instantly recorded, and any dangerous action would result in immediate capture by the guards at the gates. Gordon sure knew how to secure a place. The Burke Estate's security was top-notch. Causing trouble here was next to impossible.

Timothy's face darkened. He

regretted agreeing to come to the Burke Estate so quickly. Now, not only could he not stir up any trouble, but he also couldn't leave.

This had to be Sophie's doing on purpose.

With that thought, Timothy's

chopping intensified, the knife hitting the cutting board with renewed vigor. Watching him, Jenna and Adler couldn't help but swallow hard.

Swr

Jenna cleared her throat and said, "This is getting dangerous. Maybe we should call Sophie."

"That's exactly what I was thinking!" Adler replied, just as the sound of the front door opening echoed through the house.

Sophie and Colby walked in. The moment Adler saw Colby, he rushed over and enveloped him in a big hug. "Brother! You finally made it!"

Lowering his voice, Adler added, "That guy's trouble. You better handle it. I'm worried he might turn around and chop us up with a kitchen knife next!"
