Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)

Chapter 1123

What's happening this time?

"Go tell the Spellman family that I've accepted their dinner invitation, and I hope they'll show me their sincerity."

"Yes, boss."

Jonah quickly messaged the Spellman family back.

Meanwhile, Sophie was already starting her preparations for the evening. This high-society gala, hosted by a mysterious lady of note, reportedly carried significant international clout. She was curious about the person behind it, someone with the power to casually orchestrate such an event.

"Sophie, how do I look in this dress?" Sandy twirled in front of Sophie.

Sophie's mind was elsewhere, not even lifting her gaze as she mulled over her strategy for the evening. "Yeah, it looks pretty."

"You're obviously just humoring me!" Sandy's face was filled with dissatisfaction.

Sophie looked up, somewhat helplessly glanced at Sandy's black evening gown, and said, "It's beautiful, seriously."

Sandy felt more and more that Sophie was brushing her off and eventually, she just pouted and turned to the mirror herself. She had always wanted to attend such a gala!

"Ms. Sophie, the staff you requested are all prepared." Jonah walked in with two rows of bodyguards in black, wearing sunglasses with their hands behind their backs, their entrance exuding a powerful aura.

Sophie scanned the group and commented, "Not bad, feels secure."

"You brought people?" Sandy looked at Sophie, puzzled. "Aren't we just going to a gala? Why bring so many people?"

Timothy, who had been ironing

clothes, looked up at the group, then

unplugged the iron and laid the freshly pressed dress in front of Sophie, saying, "Ms. Sophie, it's ready."

"Good, just leave it there. I'll wear it in a bit." Sophie then remembered something and told Timothy, "Oh, and could you go buy some groceries? We won't be home this evening, but Mr. Angelo and Colby will be, so just prepare dinner for them."

"Yes, Ms. Sophie."

After Timothy left, Sophie stepped forward to pick up the evening gown prepared for her. "This white dress is too beautiful. Why am I not wearing white?" Sandy muttered, feeling her black tulle gown paled in comparison to the white mermaid dress.

Sophie asked, "You like it?"

"Yeah."

"How about I give it to you?"

"I don't want it!"

Sophie signaled Polly, who quickly came over. Sophie whispered something to Polly, who nodded and said, "I'll get it ready now."

Sandy watched them, puzzled. It's just a gala, what are all these people fussing about?

In the evening, Sophie and Sandy had their makeup and hair done, descending the stairs together. Sophie, in a white satin mermaid gown with a white shawl draped over her shoulders, her long, luscious hair cascading down one side looked ethereally beautiful with her subtle makeup, her natural allure accentuated by her elegant features. Sandy, in her black tulle gown with her long straight hair over her shoulders and bright red lips, looked exceptionally sophisticated and

beautiful, highlighting her fair

complexion.

Outside, the gala's limousine had arrived to pick them up. The driver got out, holding two black lace masks in his hand. Sandy frowned, "What are these?"
