Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)

Chapter 1044

Sophie was firmly pushed into the airplane seat by Jenna, who then stood guard. With a smirk, Sophie said, "Jenna, I'm already on the plane. Do you really think I'd try to escape?" "You're my sister. How could I ever think you'd run? I'm just worried about screwing up the task Grandpa gave me and getting punished to stand at attention when we get back!" "Jenna, since we're sisters, shouldn't you at least tell me where we're headed?"

"It's not far, somewhere you've been before."

"I've been there?" Sophie pondered, then guessed, "Somewhere overseas?"

Jenna shook her head like a bobblehead doll.

"Is it Duskhaven, then?"

Again, Jenna shook her head, insisting, "Nope! Anyway, I'm not telling!"

"

"

...

Then it has to be Summerfield."

Sophie had only ever visited a few places, and Jenna knew her travel history was limited.

Beyond those three locations, there wasn't much else she'd been to.

Considering the teaser locations, Sophie couldn't imagine Lennon setting their wedding on some desolate island.

Realizing Sophie had guessed correctly, Jenna covered her mouth, mumbling, "I didn't say anything! You figured it out on your own, so don't blame me if the surprise is spoiled!"

Sophie shook her head with a sigh, "I don't dislike Summerfield, but why there of all places?"

"What else? Summerfield boasts the most luxurious castles. Though outsiders might see it as a grimy, unwelcoming place, it's indeed a city of dazzling excess. For us wealthy folks, Summerfield is the ultimate retirement paradise."

Jenna continued, revealing, "Grandpa spared no expense to give you a castle wedding. The price they demanded in Summerfield was outrageous, reportedly more than double."

"Let me guess, was it Odie who named the price?"

Jenna nodded vigorously.

Sophie regretted not negotiating more from Odie when she had the chance.

Now, Odie had seized the opportunity to fleece them.

Meanwhile, in Summerfield-

"Please, Mr. Odie, have mercy!"

Faced with the factory leader's pleas, Qdie's face was full of

impatience. With a casual wave of his hand, his men dragged the man away.

Jonah approached Odie, remarking, "Dawn's breaking."

"Then make sure the cleanup is thorough, leaving no witnesses."

As Odie wiped his blood-stained

hands, he disdainfully tossed

handkerchief aside and a

timeds Sophie and Colby's wedding?"

"The official time is in the morning."

"What

"Official time?" Odie frowned. "Since when does getting married have an official time?"

"It's announced by the Costello

family. They seem to be taking it et some trouble today,

very seriously. If we could caus

embarrass the Costello

Hearing Jonah's suggestion, Odie glanced at him and asked, "Is embarrassing Colby really worth it?"

"...Isn't it?"

Jonah was puzzled.

Hadn't the boss always wanted to teach Colby a lesson? Embarrassing Colby seemed like a significant move!

"I think, given all the fuss the Costello family is making, if we stir up trouble, we won't come out unscathed."

"That makes sense."

"Besides, think about it, how could we possibly disrupt a wedding publicly?"

"...Disrupt a wedding?"

Jonah thought he had misheard.

This was a wedding personally overseen by Lennon. Who would dare disrupt it?
