Return

Chapter Return 14

Jasper POV

I couldn’t handle how I was feeling after Selena hugged and kissed Colin. “You must be so happy she did that, huh?” I said bitterly.

“Why won’t I be happy? She has to hug me, I’m her fiancé,” he retorted. My jaw clenched and I shot back, “She

was,”

“I’m still her fiancé,” Colin replied.” And also You can’t do anything about that, and besides, you can never come between us, so get the fuck off,” Colin added.

Enraged by his dismissive attitude, I closed the distance between us, grabbing hold of his shirt, “You wanna try?”

Hasked.

“I would love to,” Colin shot back.

“Do you think this is still college when you took her away from me?” I seethed, filled up by my deep–rooted pain that had grown bitter over time for years now.

“Yes, and I’ll do that again and again, without her ever knowing what truly happened,” he smirked.

I can’t take it anymore, Colin has bitten more than he can chew and am tired of it, I gripped his shirt tighter, moving my other hand backwards and punched him in the face as fast as I could. Colin gripped my shirt too as we struggled.

“Sir, you both can’t do that here,” we both turned to see the security guard from earlier running towards us. I looked around to see several people watching. And I recall the boundaries that needed to be respected in public. I reluctantly pushed Colin backwards releasing my grip on Colin’s shirt.

“You are lucky, Colin. I would have sent you to an early grave today. You should thank your lucky stars,” I seethed, shooting him a final glare.

I moved my

eyes away and reached for my phone, dialing Selena’s number repeatedly, but it was unanswered, each call unanswered. I felt so bad as the phone continued to ring without response, meaning I won’t be able to reach her for now.

With a final glance in Colin’s direction, I made my way to my car.

I got into my car and sat down. Settling into the driver’s seat, the image of Selena jumping into Colin’s arms, hugging him and giving him a kiss on his cheeks flashed through my mind, igniting so much anger inside of me. Gripping the steering wheel tightly, I couldn’t help but replay the scene over and over in my head. “Why Colin?” 1 seethed, my knuckles turning white as I pounded the wheel in frustration.

“Why him, Selena?” I yelled aloud bitterly, “why him? Why can’t it be me! Why?!”

“What

does she see in him that she doesn’t see in me?” I questioned, feeling so badly hurt.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. Despite my efforts, the image kept repeating

itself.

Selena POV

The call from Jasper finally stopped, making me so tired. I leaned back, resting my head on the taxi seat. I kept asking myself these questions, “Is he calling to ask me why I did that or what?, or is he calling to tell me he is

disappointed in me?” I thought to myself.

A familiar sound caught my attention and I looked down at my phone. Signaling a new message.

Reluctantly, I reached for the phone. “It must be Jasper,” I muttered to myself, feeling so nervous, I took a deep breath getting myself ready to see whatever he had sent

I unlocked my phone to see a message, reading the sender’s name, it stated: IMG Models.

[“This is to inform all newly accepted models to find their way to IMG model in less than an hour” it read. ]

The message short, to the point, instructing all newly accepted models. I sighed thankfully, if it was Jasper I wouldn’t know how to reply.

“Mister, change of plans. Please take me to IMG Models,” I instructed the taxi driver.

“Alright,” the driver responded, his eyes meeting mine in the rearview mirror before turning to a different direction.

Jasper POV

Slumped in the driver’s seat of my car, my head resting on the steering wheel, lost in thoughts when my phone started ringing. Quickly I took hold of my phone, thinking it might be Selena on the line. But to my shock, it was Noah, my best friend.

“Ahh” I placed a hand on my hand and answered “Hello.”

“Get your ass here, Jasper. It’s time to choose the models for the next app opening cover and interior,”

Struggling to convey my predicament, I hesitated before responding, “Noah, I’m dealing with something right now. I don’t think I can make it.”

You need to sort out whatever it is and get yourself here now. The responsibility is on your shoulders now. If things go awry, don’t come looking to blame me. You know I can be ruthless when needed.”

After Hearing his words, I had no choice but to change my mind, “I’ll be there.”

“Better!” Noah said, before ending the call, leaving me to contemplate. I revised the car and sped off heading to IMG models.
