Chapter 118 You Will Listen To Me From Now On!
Understanding the meaning behind Patricia's question, Zac couldn't help but pout. His smile was frozen in place, but his deep eyes were filled with displeasure.
This woman was so obsessed with me just now. Why can't she just be nice to me?'
Zac clenched his fists, not knowing how to reply to her question. Then, sighing helplessly, he slowly loosened his grip. Well, I don't want to argue with her for the time being. I will settle accounts with her after she recovers."
Usually, when Zac comforted himself like this, everything worked out. So, this time would be no exception.
"Aren't you busy?" Patricia asked casually as if she was talking about the weather, with not a trace of emotion in her voice.
Hearing this, Zac glared at Patricia angrily but still didn't answer her question. He then asked the people standing outside to come in.
Two young men entered and looked around the room. After that, they walked over to Zac and whispered something to him.
Patricia was baffled by this sight. She asked suspiciously, "What are you doing, Zac?"
Zac arched his eyebrows and hinted for her to remain quiet while he was busy talking to the men.
The young men left shortly after, and Patricia finally had the chance to speak.
"Are you asking someone to monitor me?" Frowning, Patricia stared at Zac unhappily. She felt that Zac had bad intentions this time around. Besides, the young men looked like spies she saw on TV. So, she couldn't help but have her suspicions.
Hearing this, Zac stared at Patricia, speechless. Then, he chuckled and said, "Do you really think you are a priceless treasure and need someone to monitor you?"
Zac couldn't understand Patricia at all. After he finished talking, he took his bag from the sofa and handed it to her. "The things in that bag all belong to you. So, if you feel bored, you can use that to entertain yourself. Also, you have to listen to the doctor and to me this time," said Zac in an overbearing manner.
Hearing this, Patricia was confused. She stared at Zac quietly and said in a low voice, "Are you sure you know what's best?
If I listen to the doctor, how can I listen to Zac at the same time?
Suddenly realizing there was a loophole in his statement, Zac immediately corrected himself, "You will listen to me. From now on, listen to me!"
"Why should I listen to you?" Patricia glared at Zac angrily. She thought that Zac had gone too far by saying such a thing. "What does he mean by that?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Patricia ignored Zac and curiously opened the bag that he had given her, eager to know what was in it.
She was surprised to find that it contained all her favorite magazines and CDs of Korean dramas in it.
"You..." Patricia looked at Zac skeptically. She was so surprised by this find that she didn't know what to say. 'Did Zac really bring me all these things? And where did he get them?'
Noticing her confused look, Zac coughed and explained it to Patricia. "These items were all taken from your room."
As soon as she heard this, Patricia couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Needless to say, she could imagine how Zac had located these magazines and CDs.
"Don't touch my things again!" With an angry look on her face, Patricia glared at Zac and asked, "Did you break any of my things?
Knowing Zac's bad character, Patricia figured that he must have messed up all the things that she had painstakingly organized. It wasn't hard to imagine, given how messy her magazines and the CDs lay in the bag.
Hearing this, Zac frowned and took a deep breath. This woman is really ungrateful. Instead of thanking me, she chose to lose her temper with me instead!
"What's wrong with you? Zac looked at her unhappily. He really didn't understand what Patricia was thinking. I am so kind to her, yet she is acting so ungrateful.
And although I did mess up her things by accident, it was due to my good intentions of wanting to do something nice for her. I would go back and tidy up the mess I made too."
"Don't you understand what I mean? With a discontented look, Patricia glared at Zac angrily.
He glared back at Patricia angrily and turned around. Zac really didn't want to argue with her because of such a trifle matter.
After a while, Dora, who had sent Lily away, returned to Patricia's room, beaming.
"Mr. Reynolds, you are also here!" After greeting Zac casually, Dora immediately focused on Patricia.
"Miss Patricia, when did you get to know my sister? What do you think of her? Lately, she seems to be having some trouble, but she wouldn't open up and tell me her concerns. Can you help me out by asking her about it?"
Dora kept talking as if she wanted to get everything off her chest.
Seeing Dora so excited, Patricia didn't know what to say for a moment. Presumably, Lily wouldn't have wanted Dora to know what she had done. And as an outsider, Patricia couldn't tell Dora anything.
"Although your sister once worked with me, it wasn't for very long. My comments can only be based on the fact that she was once one of my subordinates," Patricia said sincerely, a gentle smile on her face.
Hearing this, Dora nodded slightly. Although she was unhappy to hear this, she knew that what Patricia said was correct. It would be difficult for her to ask Lily such a question.
"By the way, Miss Patricia, I forgot to tell you something. Mrs. Lowell asked someone to bring you a fruit basket today. She knows that you're sick, but she was sad to be unable to come herself." Seeing Patricia lower her head, Dora dropped her voice a notch. Then, subconsciously, Dora looked at Zac, who was standing to the side of Patricia.
Seeing Patricia's expression, Zac couldn't help but purse his lips. However, it was not until that moment that he realized that he had done something wrong, which led him to feel guilty.
Dora didn't know what to say when she saw both of their expressions. Making up an excuse, Dora left Zac and Patricia together in the room.
As soon as Dora left, the atmosphere in the room suddenly became tenser. Dora's unconscious mention of the name Giselle had undoubtedly hurt Patricia again.
Zac walked quickly to Patricia's side and looked at her worriedly. Then, finally, he opened his sexy thin lips and said weakly, "Don't be sad. This will be over soon!" In actuality, even he himself didn't know when the Lowell family would begin treating Giselle better.
But Zac had said those words as a means of comforting Patricia. However, they had the opposite effect on her, making her sadder. She angrily glared at Zac.
Patricia didn't want to talk to Zac, nor did she want to see him. So, she turned her back to him.
"I need to rest. Thank you for bringing me my things, Patricia said bluntly and gave Zac the cold shoulder. Seeing this, Zac couldn't help but pout. He really didn't know what to say to her, and this depressed him. He knew that Patricia was in a bad mood, so he couldn't refuse her wishes.
Sighing, Zac turned around and left without saying a word. Well, since Patricia doesn't want to see me, I can just leave!'
