Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 92

Sabrina wanted to curl herself into a ball.

With how their relationship was at that point, having sex together only served to cause her shame and embarrassment rather than joy. Nelson wanted to see her expression.

However, as he glanced down, he saw her hair scattered on the pillow.

She looked more uncomfortable than joyous.

His breathing was heavy.

This was the most he had attempted to satisfy a woman. Not even his beloved had...

But now, it was too late.

Even his touch repelled Sabrina.

Nelson pulled the blanket over her.

His clothes were disheveled.

He turned and sat at the end of the bed. "Sabrina, I'm sorry."

He wasn't angry at her. He was angry at himself for being weak and indecisive.

He was also mad at himself for hurting her and making her suffer, even though she hadn't done anything wrong.

Sabrina didn't move or respond. She only stared blankly at the curtains.

Nelson turned to face her.

He noticed that her shoulder seemed frail and delicate under the blanket.

He sighed and sat beside her. His fingers ran through her hair as he stared at her teary and pitiful face.

"From now on, I will respect your feelings and never disregard them like this again," he whispered gently and combed her hair with his hand.

He knew what she wanted to hear most right now was probably his agreement to sign the divorce papers. He knew there was no point in continuing their marriage. He just couldn't bring himself to say it.

He hadn't made up his mind.

"I don't care whether you consider my feelings or not," Sabrina said.

Nelson didn't speak further, nor did he press her.

He patted her head gently. "You should stay for the night."

Sabrina watched him enter the dressing room and change into a new pair of clothes.

She wanted to ask him something but decided not to.

After a while, she heard the sound of a car engine starting.

Sabrina didn't sleep there as he suggested. She got up and got dressed.

She felt awkward and uncomfortable, even though she didn't do anything wrong.

She had never expected him to show such intimacy toward her.

She rubbed her flushed face, got out of bed, and took all her belongings.

As she walked downstairs, Joanna approached her. "Mrs. Tucker..."

Sabrina smiled at her. "I'm going back now. You should rest early." Joanna said nothing more.

As a maid, it wasn't her place to comment on their relationship.

...

When Dylan came downstairs, he saw Nelson smoking inside his car.

His eyes were dark, with a touch of emptiness and coldness.

When Nelson noticed him, he took a drag of his cigarette and asked, "What's the situation with Gerald?"

The red flame from the cigarette flickered between his fingers, yet his tone was calm and his expression serious.

"What happened to Mr. Ingram?" Dylan was puzzled.

He became even more confused when he heard that Gerald had been taken away by the police in the evening. "This doesn't make sense. Mr. Ingram isn't a fool."

Since Gerald was bold enough to break Pamela's legs, he should be able to handle the aftermath properly.

"Don't worry about how it happened. Just get him out first," Nelson instructed.

His statement surprised Dylan.

Gerald and Sabrina were now very close, as though they might get together right after her divorce.

Hence, Nelson's action was unexpected.

Of course, Nelson understood Dylan's thoughts.

However, he couldn't let things turn into a grudge with Sabrina.

She had done nothing wrong. As Shannon had said, Sabrina only insisted on marrying him because she loved him.

He also couldn't deny that Samson had saved his father's life.

It would be unfair to Sabrina if he continued to hurt her feelings further now that she no longer liked or loved him.

"Go discuss this with Pamela. I don't want to see her," Nelson commanded.

"Alright," Dylan replied.

With that, Dylan went to meet Pamela.

It wasn't hard to persuade her to drop the lawsuit and turn over all the backups since Sabrina held the power over her, and she wanted to rely on Nelson for status and money. en.swhovels.net

Once Dylan returned to the car, he handed the backups to Nelson.

However, Nelson didn't take them. "You handle it. Give them to Sabrina or Gerald."

He leaned back in the car seat with his eyes shut.

Dylan took a glance at him and noticed his tightly clenched jaw.

Nelson was groomed to become the heir to the Tucker Group.

After he graduated from university, Dylan and Nelson joined the company simultaneously.

Jackson had high expectations for his successor, so Nelson started from the bottom.

But in every department, his extraordinary vision and skills set him apart.

He was promoted to project manager in just over a year, and Dylan began working for him.

Over the past eight years of working together, Dylan could tell how differently Nelson treated Sabrina.

There

throMany more beautiful

and intelligent women than Sabrina throughout those years, but Nelson was always indifferent toward them.

Justin and Ronaldo even joked that he might like men since he was so uninterested.

Nonetheless, Nelson looked at Sabrina with both fondness and admiration.

Of course, after being a workaholic who worked 16 hours a day abroad, he shifted his focus to Sabrina after returning.

...

At the police station, Gerald kept his mouth shut and waited for his lawyer.

But the following day, he was released, with the officers claiming it was all a misunderstanding.

His first instinct told him that he might not have gotten out without Nelson's intervention.

Gerald's mind buzzed as his thoughts were filled with Nelson hurting Sabrina again.

After he retrieved his phone, he assured Matthew of his safety and headed to Breeze Group. Meanwhile, Sabrina was on her way to see Gerald when she received the news he was out.

She was surprised to receive that call from Eva.

"Are you okay?" She finally breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Gerald.

"I'm fine. Are you okay?" Gerald asked, worried.

Sabrina's mind drifted to yesterday's incident, and she shook her head since it was nothing significant to her.

However, Eva looked anxious standing nearby.

"Gerald, come with me." Sabrina led

Gerald upstairs for breakfast and

instructed Eva to get a change of

clothes for him from the department

store.

Evan complied and handed her a folder. "Dylan sent me this early in the morning. Pamela has no more backups."

When Sabrina heard this, she was shocked that Nelson helped her without setting any conditions.
