Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 83

Nelson thought Pamela had a point.

He pretended to be affectionate and took advantage of Sabrina's love while waiting for his beloved to appear.

He had been searching for her for years and even maintained his virginity. Sometimes, he felt pretty proud of himself.

He wanted to boast to her about his fidelity when he finally found her.

But he changed completely after coming back from abroad.

The thought of it made him feel ashamed.

He wondered how he would explain his infatuation with another woman's body when he could finally meet his beloved.

Nelson leaned back on the sofa and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

He didn't particularly like Sabrina. He merely admired her spirit and was momentarily obsessed with her attractive physique.

The discomfort he felt was likely because, despite agreeing to the divorce, she had Bridget drug him.

Nelson wondered if things would've been better if nothing had happened that night at the Tucker manor.

Suddenly, Dylan's phone rang and snapped him back to reality.

After Dylan answered the call, he expression turned grim. "Pamela had a miscarriage."

Nelson was taken aback. "She... was pregnant?"

Nelson's relationship with Pamela began with the emerald pendant.

The pendant was given to him by his grandparents when he was born.

On the night he pledged his love to his beloved, he gave the pendant to her.

It was quite a cliche gesture.

After the accident with his father, the jade pendant became his most valuable item.

His parents insisted that Sabrina's father had saved them. Nelson distinctly remembered his beloved's faint fragrance as she hid with him under a bridge with a babbling stream. However, when he returned, the Wyatt Manor had caught fire. The resort and half the mountain were ablaze.

Then, Nelson found the jade pendant being sold in a jewelry shop.

The owner of the pendant had changed hands several times, and it took him a lot of effort to trace it back to Pamela and mistook her for his beloved.

He remembered feeling heartbroken when he discovered Pamela working at a nightclub.

He wondered how his beloved could have fallen so far in less than a year.

When he met Pamela, he felt relieved she wasn't the person he sought.

Nelson introduced Pamela to the entertainment sector since she looked decent and was familiar with the sector.

He only had occasional work-related

exchanges with her. He knew

nothing about her personal life and

didn't know whether she had a

partner.

However, it was unrealistic to assume that she had no boyfriend

good resources.

"Should we visit her at the hospital?" Dylan asked Nelson.

After all, Sabrina had beaten Pamela.

Even though the miscarriage was due to the medicine, Pamela was bound to blame Sabrina.

"There's no need for that. I'm not the father of the child anyway," Nelson replied.

He believed she wouldn't dare to cause unnecessary trouble.

However, news of Pamela's alleged miscarriage spread online like wildfire the next day.

This news even reached Jackson and Shannon.

They were reluctant to interfere in Nelson's matter since he refused to marry Sabrina when they asked him

to, and now he refused to divorce her.

Shannon felt sorry for Sabrina and called her early in the morning.

Sabrina felt touched and a bit embarrassed when she heard her mother-in-law's apologetic and concerned tone. After all, her poor relationship with Nelson wasn't the fault of her in-laws.

Over the past three years, his cold indifference was compensated by her in-laws' kindness.

She chatted with Shannon for a while and agreed to go to the Tucker manor on Saturday to arrange flowers.

After Sabrina hung up the phone, she went to work.

At the office, a few young girls gossiped about Pamela.

They even mentioned the woman who accompanied Nelson to Panshaw.

They said she was powerful enough to come between Nelson and Pamela and cause Pamela to lose the child.

The thought of her time in Panshaw made Sabrina feel a sense of detachment.

She didn't care about the rumors, particularly since she was getting divorced.
