Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 62

Back then, Nelson wouldn't give Sabrina the brooch no matter what. However, he apologized to her that day because of that. Sabrina wanted to know the reason why.

She leaned back against the kitchen counter. Due to their height difference, she was forced to look up at him.

Nelson was extremely handsome and charming. Simon was right about Nelson being the perfect gentleman of high society.

The Tucker family was the wealthiest in Slitton. Their patriarch, Jackson Tucker, was a renowned industrialist known for his low profile. His wife, Shannon Hart, had raised Nelson well. Despite Nelson's usual indifference toward Sabrina, he was well-mannered.

Therefore, he would apologize when he made mistakes.

"Are you apologizing so that you can sleep with me, or do you genuinely feel guilty?"

This time, Nelson was taken aback. Then, he approached her with a smile and placed his hands on the kitchen counter.

He looked her in the eye and said, "So, you like being straightforward."

He was surprised by her intelligence and her basic understanding of him.

He also found it amazing that he felt so easy and comfortable while talking to her.

"Yes. If I like someone, I like them. If I don't, then I don't. I don't play games," Sabrina said while looking Nelson straight in the eyes.

She was implying that he wasn't being direct with his feelings.

Thus, he didn't hold back when he said, "80% of me wants to sleep with you."

"How about we sign the divorce papers, and I'll sleep with you twice in exchange?"

Nelson chuckled and caught her chin. He looked down at her.

"Do I look stupid?"

His breath was warm against Sabrina's face. She felt so ticklish that she turned her head away.

"I didn't say that."

"As a married couple, you're already calling me a rotten apple and refusing to sleep with me. Are you sure you'll sleep with me after signing the divorce papers?"

Nelson gripped her waist and lifted her slightly, positioning her to sit on the kitchen counter.

He leaned in to kiss her. However, she leaned back and turned her head away.

"Since we're not talking, I'm going to work."

Nelson grabbed the back of her neck and forced her to look up at him.

"Look at how insincere you're being," Nelson said in a deep voice as his gaze darkened.

Sabrina was sitting on the cold kitchen counter. With him holding her neck, her heart was racing.

She cast her gaze downward to avoid eye contact.

"Nelson, don't twist my words. This has nothing to do with sincerity. Let go of me."

He openly admitted that he only wanted to sleep with her, which disappointed her a little.

After all, she had once dreamed of a loving and sweet marriage with him.

There was no love nor sweetness to be found, just endless waiting and loneliness.

Now that she had finally stopped waiting for him, he merely wanted to sleep with her. No woman enjoyed hearing that.

Sabrina had refused and rejected him too many times recently. Nelson missed how she used to be so full of love for him. She would've happily embraced him if he had wanted her back then.

The heat in him hadn't dissipated since last night. In the end, he bit her lip. His actions caught Sabrina off guard, causing her to give in quickly.

Joanna exited the kitchen and exclaimed, "Ah! I didn't see anything."

Then, she hurriedly went back into the kitchen.

Nelson was slightly annoyed. At the sight of Sabrina's flushed face, he carried her up the stairs.

Sabrina was terrified as she beat against his shoulders.

"Nelson, are you crazy? Put me down!"

He wordlessly took her to the bedroom and tossed her on the bed.

Through clenched teeth, he said, "I'm not crazy."
