Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 30

Nelson rhythmically tapped his finger on the table.

Each thud made Gerald increasingly uneasy. "Nelson, Sabrina is your sister. You won't be happy if she's unhappy, right?"

"Unhappy?" Nelson's eyes were cold. "She said that?"

Three years ago, she claimed she wanted him, then drugged him to sleep with him when she wanted a divorce. And now she said she was unhappy? Sabrina was quite a complicated person.

Ronaldo knew Nelson too well. He could sense Nelson's anger from his expression.

He pulled Gerald aside. "Stop talking if you want Sabrina to live a peaceful life."

Gerald frowned. "What do you mean?"

Nelson tossed his cards onto the table. "Gerald, if you want to know who that man is, I can tell you."

Gerald turned back. "Who is it?"

"It's not much fun telling you like this. I also need to get Sabrina's approval. I'll let you know once I've spoken with her."

"Fine."

Speechless, Ronaldo dragged Gerald out of the room. "Aren't you supposed to be fixing Sabrina's brooch? Why are you digging into that guy?"

Gerald's eyes were bloodshot. "You and Justin both know who he is."

"You and Sabrina have no future. She didn't tell you about him to avoid hurting you."

Gerald lowered his eyes. "I've never liked anyone this much before. Just being around her makes me happy. Anyway, just tell me if you can get the brooch fixed." "Yes," Ronaldo assured him, knowing Nelson's connection with Simon.

"Good. I'll focus on that for now. I want to keep my promise to her." Gerald handed the brooch to Ronaldo. "Please get it fixed."

When Ronaldo returned to the room, he kicked Justin. "Are you crazy? Why did you fuel the situation?"

"A battle between the ex-to-be and the boyfriend-to-be. It's thrilling just to think about it."

Nelson opened the jewelry box. Looking at the shattered brooch, he rubbed his chin.

"Nelson, the ring you ordered back then..."

"I had Dylan leak the news."

It was all to lure Sabrina to him, but she had sent a minion.

Nelson chuckled. This could get interesting.

He was already looking forward to Sabrina's angry reaction when she found out the brooch was back in his hands.

...

Sabrina returned home after Cheryl fell asleep.

As she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Nelson leaning against her door, smoking.

Instantly, she felt suffocated. She unlocked the door with her fingerprint. Just as she tried to enter, he grabbed her arm.

"Add my fingerprint to the lock."

Sabrina chuckled, "Why should I?"

"Since you're not coming home, I'll come to you."

Nelson sure knew how to utter such sweet words.

Sabrina sighed before genuinely asking, "Nelson, what do you really want?"

"To give you the life you wanted."

This was indeed the life she had once desired.

He knew. He knew everything. But he gave it to her when she no longer wanted it.

Sabrina sneered, "All I want now is a divorce."

"Don't even think about it." He refused, then said gently, "Add my fingerprint."

Sabrina rolled her eyes and entered. Nelson followed.

She changed into her slippers in the hallway. Inside the shoe cabinet, there was a pair of men's slippers.

Nelson picked them up and glanced at them. They were new and in his size, matching the pair she was wearing on her feet. "When did you buy these for me?"

Sabrina ignored him and went to change clothes.

When she entered the bathroom, she found Nelson soaking in her bathtub and sipping her wine, completely relaxed.

"Who allowed you to use my bathtub?" She was clearly unhappy.

Nelson leaned back and looked at her. "You've slept with me. So do we really need to argue about a bathtub?" Sabrina was speechless.

She went to the guest bathroom to shower and then went to bed.

Just then, she felt his arm wrap around her waist. Nelson pressed against her back and kissed her neck.

It tickled, and she was annoyed. "Get off me!"

Nelson wasn't angry. Instead, he played with a strand of her hair for a while before speaking, "Our nightgowns and pajamas are all matching sets. Wouldn't you miss me if I left?" Sabrina's body tensed. She had once truly looked forward to their married life. The shoes in the cabinet and the clothes in the wardrobe were all evidence.

"I don't like you anymore. There's nothing to miss." Sabrina turned away.

Chuckling, Nelson gripped her shoulder to face him. "You don't like me because you like Gerald?"
