Chapter Rebirth Of 340
Chapter 340
Chapter 340
Natalie stood in shock, staring at Easton across the table. His smile was sly and cunning.
Putting her phone down, Natalie was filled with rage. "Easton, you scoundrel! Did you really plot against me? How could you be so cruel? I let you off the hook, so why can't you do the same for me?" With a casual look, Easton replied, "Natalie, you were set on your decision to divorce; I had no choice but to act this way."
"Wasn't divorce what you wanted? Do you not remember how many divorce papers you gave me before?" Natalie was furious, shocked by his shamelessness. She felt like her heart might explode from anger. She was also angry at her own ignorance.
Easton raised an eyebrow, a teasing grin on his lips. "Natalie, you are charming; heaven sent you to me, and I don't plan to let you go."
Natalie stared at him, confused. 'Did his words hint at flirting? Am I overthinking?"
"Clearly, your love for Jennifer is not as deep as you claim! Now I see it; you love only yourself!" Natalie asserted.
She added, "If you dare come to my place again, I will call Jennifer. You know she can be persistent..."
"Natalie, don't challenge my boundaries; the consequences will be too much for you. I won't entertain options; I make decisions, and my choice is to never divorce." Easton stepped closer, looming over her. Natalie nervously glanced back at the chair, feeling the pressure he emitted was almost tangible.
Easton thought her anxious face was cute, hiding his own desires while giving her a soft smile. "Natalie, behave."
He leaned down quickly, kissing her forehead, making her heart race.
In that moment, she felt like she had been bitten by a dog. She forcefully pushed Easton away, glaring at him. "Get away! Don't touch me. After sharing a bed with Jennifer, you still dare to disgust me? Easton, you are vile." Fuming, Natalie rubbed her forehead. "I'm going to find some alcohol."
Those words felt insulting, Easton's anger flared instantly; he grabbed her hand, looking deeply into her eyes and growling, "Natalie, do you really hate me?"
"Of course! Haven't I always shown my disdain for you? You think everyone is as promiscuous as you and Jennifer?"
Easton didn't understand her meaning. Without thinking, he pulled Natalie into his arms and kissed her, taking in her endless words.
At that moment, Natalie stopped struggling, feeling lost, her eyes wide in shock.
As Easton became lost in the kiss, wanting more, Natalie bit his lip hard.
"Ah!" Easton stumbled back, grimacing from the pain.
He licked the bleeding wound on his lip, looking oddly attractive.
The red mark on his lips gave him a strange beauty. His gaze was wild, as if the pain brought him pleasure and a dangerous charm.
Natalie stared at him, captivated, her heart racing wildly as if something was galloping in her chest, each beat quickenin

breath.
She couldn't look away from him, even for a second.
Easton's charm was deadly.
Seeing her entranced, Easton chuckled, amused. "What a little wildcat you are; that did sting. I'll come by tonight, and you will tend to my wound. If you refuse to open the door, I'll tell everyone you are my wife." Natalie blinked in disbelief. 'Did Easton really think that would work?"
Fine! If you're okay with having Jennifer as your mistress, shout it to the world." Natalie stayed defiant.
Easton, watching her fiery reaction, found her even more attractive when she was angry.
After putting on his coat gracefully, he said, "Winter styles have sold well. Take some time to rest and heal. Then we can prepare for spring."
Natalie, furious, shot back, "I will not design anything for you!"
Easton interrupted her, his gaze intense. "Natalie, I've warned you not to cross my lines. My time is too valuable; I need to go to the office."
He took a few steps but then turned back to her. "You have no right to refuse me. My choices won't change for anyone. The card on the table is mine; buy what you want."
Easton enjoyed the feeling of control he had, as it made him feel secure.
Natalie watched him leave, unable to say anything.
Fuming, she shouted, "Easton, you are infuriating! How dare you trick me?"
Natalie's face burned with anger, her heart racing as she grabbed her phone to call Valerie.
As soon as the call connected, tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Why are you crying, Natalie?" Valerie asked with concern.
"Valerie, that scoundrel Easton has deceived me."
Sitting on the floor, Natalie cried, feeling completely wronged. Despite her efforts to leave Easton, she felt caught.
"Well, I suppose this is your fate. Do you remember what I told you before? You two were meant to be together."
Natalie replied, "Valerie, I refuse to accept this! You must find a way to cut our connection. I would rather be single forever than marry him. I'm tired of his hypocrisy."
Valerie asked firmly, "Natalie, it's too late for that; things have changed. What happened while I was away?"
"Nothing happened. I just returned from visiting Zoe; she had a healthy baby boy."
Valerie tried to comfort her. "It's just a contract issue. Worst case, you'll work for him for another three years."
Frustrated, Natalie replied, "Valerie, I really don't want anything to do with him. It's so draining, unbearably so. Easton's heart is like stone; I can't warm him because it belongs to Jennifer. I've given up." "Natalie, let things flow naturally and follow your heart. I'll return next week to be with you; my tasks here are almost done."
Hearing that Valerie was coming back thrilled Natalie. "Valerie, you're not tricking me, are you? You will really come back next weekend?"
