Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring novel (Naomi)

Chapter 214

Dylan looked at Naomi smiling as if he saw Scott sleeping on the floor the night before.

Naomi was stunned as panic flashed across her eyes. After all, Dylan was not far from the truth. The only difference was that Scott was not sleeping on the floor but on the couch.

At that moment, Naomi wanted to open her eyes to say something, but she felt at a loss for words.

Dylan looked at Naomi's reaction and smiled even more. "Oh my. So it is true..." He looked at Scott, reveling in Scott's misfortune.

At that moment, Scott opened his eyes. He looked at Dylan emotionlessly, yet Dylan still felt chills run down his back.

Facing Scott's deep gaze, Dylan cowered. He clenched his fists and pursed his lips. He cleared his throat and looked out of the window. "Today's weather is great! The rain is really romantic," he said with a smile.

Dylan's previous question still had Naomi thinking, so she relaxed when she heard him change the topic. She did not know how to lie. If Dylan continued pressing on further, she would not know how to reply. However, she was not great at the topic that he changed to as well. She did not know about romance.

She opened her mouth, about to say something, but she did not know what to add. Thus, she continued her reading.

If she could not do it, she was not going to trouble herself.

Soon, Dylan asked, "Naomi, you've been in Herland for a few days. What do you think of it?"

Naomi had just looked at the document when Dylan's voice rang out. Naomi paused for a while and looked out at the rainy, misty city. "It's alright."

"Alright? In what way? Is it great? Is it just okay? Or is it bad?"

Dylan seemed to have taken it seriously, to her surprise. "It's..."

"You really look like you have nothing better to do," a low voice interrupted Naomi.

Naomi turned to look at Scott next to her.

Scott was looking at Dylan. His expression was just the same, dark and aloof. It was intimidating.

Dylan shut his mouth and no longer dared to say anything. Scott seemed like he was in a bad mood. It looked like he indeed did not have a good night's sleep, so he was quite grumpy that day.

He could not be offended. Not one bit.

Dylan stopped talking, and the car quieted down once more.

Naomi looked at Scott before looking at Dylan. She smiled. She continued her reading and was no longer disturbed.

Scott looked at Dylan and finally quieted down.

Scott shot Dylan a look to signal to be silent before closing his eyes, rendering Dylan speechless.

The rest of the journey passed in silence. Dylan looked at Naomi reading seriously. He told her that she could ask him any questions if she needed some clarification.

Naomi nodded. There were indeed some parts that she did not understand, and she would ask Dylan about it. Scott said nothing further.

He would occasionally look at Naomi, looking at her talking to Dylan and at her reading. He looked at her intently, drinking in the image of her.

Two hours later, everyone arrived at the little town. Dylan led everyone directly to the museum. They were supposed to be out and about, but since it was raining, they stayed indoors. To Naomi, she could still learn a lot by staying indoors.

Just like the past few days, everyone listened to Dylan introducing the little town to them.

The rain got lighter after lunch, so Chandler suggested everyone head out for a walk since the chance presented itself.
