Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1845

The operation was arranged in the morning.

After the bone marrow was extracted, Tina felt sore and numb all over her body. Lying on the hospital bed, she was pushed back to the ward. After that, she immediately fell asleep. During this period, Wilson did not leave her for a moment.

When Tina opened her eyes again, the sun was setting. In fact, she had slept for a whole day.

Tina looked around and could not find Wilson in the ward. She guessed that he must have gone to the canteen to fetch her some food.

After Tina woke up, she felt much more energetic.

She wanted to know whether Bill's operation had been successful.

She reached out her hand to the right side of the hospital bed, wanting to call the nurse. But she found that the calling device seemed to be broken, and no response was received from the other side. Tina sat up slowly, put on her shoes, and got off the bed.

She slowed her pace down and walked to the door of the ward. When she was about to continue to walk in the direction of the nurse station, she caught a glimpse of a beautiful figure passing by the ward. It was Abby Amery. She greeted Tina with a smile. "Miss Hall!"

Tina nodded as a reply.

Tina did it only for face-saving purposes.

Abby continued with a gentle smile, "On behalf of the Amery family, I would like to express our gratitude to you. Your decision to donate your bone marrow would of crucial importance to my uncle's health recovery. His operation had been very successful. The doctor told us that it won't take long for him to recover!"

Tina replied nonchalantly, "You're welcome!"

Abby was holding a heat-retaining lunch box in her right hand. When she wanted to raise her hand to tug the hair near her ear, she changed the heatretaining lunch box to her left hand. The movement of Abby made Tina's sightline fall down a little.

Abby then explained with a smile, "This is the nutritious bone soup that my grandmother specially asked me to send to my uncle. There is ginseng in the soup, and ginseng is very good for health preservation. But my grandmother only asked our chef to cook only one serve..."

Speaking of this, an awkward expression appeared on Abby's face.

Abby looked at Tina apologetically and said, "Miss Hall, my grandmother is getting old, and sometimes she behaved like a child. She may have some prejudice against you now, and sometimes she would be rude to you, but I hope you don't hate her. I believe that the misunderstanding between the two of you will be solved with time and patience in the future!"

Abby's makeup was exquisite and elegant. When she spoke, there was always a graceful smile on her face.

However, these words sounded hypocritical, or even hateful to Tina.

Tina smiled and replied slowly, "Isn't it what you want now?"

In the Amery family, Old Madam Amery disliked Tina the most, while the other family member who absolutely did not want Tina to be recognized and admitted as Bill's daughter was none other than Abby. Otherwise, she would not try so hard to cover up the fact that Bill was sick.

Abby had been raised up by the Amery Family since she was still a very little child. She tended to think that she was the only inheritress to the Amery family because the Amery family had no other children. She believed that she could naturally enjoy everything which the Amery family could offer.

Tina's identity was undoubtedly a threat to Abby status.

A beam of cold light flashed in Abby's eyes.

Her face became gloomy, though almost in an unnoticeable manner, as if Tina had seen through her mind.

A few seconds later, the smile on Abby's face gradually returned, as if she did not understand Tina's words. "Miss Hall, you seem to have misunderstood me!"

Tina replied with a faint smile, "We all know clearly whether it's a misunderstanding or not!"

Abby did not answer Tina directly. She tried to keep her dignity and elegance unaffected. She nodded apologetically and said, "Sorry, Miss Hall, I need to go to see my uncle now. I'll talk to you next time!" After that, Abby left elegantly in her high heels.

Tina looked away indifferently.

As soon as Abby left, the elevator door was opened, and Wilson strode out of it.

Seeing that Tina was standing near the door of the ward, he immediately frowned. "Tina, why did you come out? Didn't the doctor tell you that you should lie flat on the bed all the time?"

Tina smiled and replied, "I'm fine. I just want to ask the nurse whether the operation of Chairman Amery had been successful!"

Wilson bent over and held Tina up with his arms. As he walked into the ward, he said, "The operation of Chairman Amery had been very successful. He has been transferred to the Bioclean Treatment Unit now!"

Tina nodded. "Yeah!"

She had just learned about the news from Abby.

Wilson put Tina onto the hospital bed, put the pillow upright against the head of the bed, and then asked with a smile, "Are you hungry?"

Tina replied somewhat coquettishly. "A little bit..."

She had slept for nearly a whole day. At this time, the anesthetic effects had diminished, and she felt that her stomach was empty.

When Tina saw the heat-retaining lunch box in Wilson's hand, she felt warm in her heart.

She did not care about the nutritious bone soup of the Amery family at all. What she truly needed was cares from others.

Tina opened the lunch box, and the fresh smell of chicken soup immediately flowed into her nostrils. The whole ward was warm and cozy.

She scooped the soup out with a spoon and drank it.

After swallowing the first mouthful of soup, Tina was surprised, and she asked Wilson, "Why does the soup taste different this time? Was it made by Sister Kaylee?"

Sister Kaylee had been hired by their family for a long time. She was usually responsible for cooking meals, and she was indeed very good at cooking.

The chicken soup in the heat-retaining lunch box smelled good, but after Tina tasted it, she felt that the chicken flavor was too thick, while there were too many gingers on the soup.

Hearing this, Wilson felt a little stiff on his back. "What's wrong? Is it not delicious enough?"

"Well... It's not delicious!" Tina nodded honestly, feeling that today Sister Kaylee's performance was not good enough.

This was not like the soup made by Sister Kaylee, but more like something made by a novice chef.

As soon as she finished speaking, Wilson's frown deepened. "Don't drink anymore!"

Tina looked up at Wilson and found that there was something wrong with his expression. Her heart almost skipped a beat.

An idea suddenly popped up in Tina's mind, and she showed an incredible expression.

She licked her lips and asked cautiously, "Wilson, was this chicken soup... cooked by you?"

Behind the lens, Wilson's eyes were deep and a little meaningful.

He seemed to be disappointed with Tina's response, and was very reluctant to admit it. "Well..."

Tina was petrified.

She hadn't expected that Wilson would make the soup for her personally. She was very touched for it. She quickly tried to console him. "I hadn't expected the soup was made by you. It's so delicious! It's better than those cooked by Sister Kaylee. If you didn't told me, I would think that it was bought from some restaurant outside!"

"Really? Let me have a try." Wilson was a little uncertain about it.

Tina hurriedly blocked the soup with her arms. "Don't do it! This is the soup you cooked for me. Of course, I have to enjoy it alone!"

Wilson's face became more relaxed.

In order to make Wilson happy, Tina simply picked up the lunch box with both hands and gulped down the chicken soup.

Seeing that Tina had almost finished all the chicken soup, Wilson smiled.

With the feeling of setback disappearing, he suddenly felt that he still had a lot of potential in cooking. Sure enough, no difficulty could block his way.

When he was feeling proud of himself, Tina finally put down the lunch box, burped, and suggested, "Wilson, I don't think it's worthwhile for you to personally cook dishes in the future..."

Although the appearance of the chicken soup was as perfect as Wilson's handsome face, the taste was really not that satisfying.

Wilson became speechless.
