Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1378

The next day was weekend.

When Emerson got up in the morning, Bunny hugged him from behind like an octopus, "Emerson, will you stay at home with me today?"

"Bunny!" He patted her small hand.

Bunny shook him and said coquettishly, "Will you?"

Emerson was entangled by her.

He was the boss of the company, so naturally, he couldn't be idle.

Most of the time, he would be working in the company or be socializing, only coming back at night. Beside these times, he only went to solve troubles made by her. He had never stayed home with her for a single day.

Emerson thought that this day was Saturday and it was a rest day. There were only two meetings, and both didn't require his presence. He could ask Secretary Zalkin to attend them for him and send him the data and report afterwards.

He raised his lips and said, "Okay!"

Bunny was overjoyed.

She didn't ask for much. She didn't ask to go out for fun. Just playing video games and watching TV at home could make her as happy as a bird, twittering all day.

At noon, Secretary Zalkin came over to send Emerson the data and report of the meetings.

After Emerson finished reading reports, he called Bunny, who was eating an apple in the corner of the sofa, over.

Bunny dropped the apple core into the trash can and snuggled up to him like a pet, "What's up?"

Emerson took out the documents below the meeting reports and handed them to her, "These are all chosen by Secretary Zalkin. They're all private colleges. I just need to give the president a notice and you can be admitted! Have a look and see which one do you like?"

Bunny opened them and found them all information of various colleges.

They were all famous colleges, not only medical schools, but also colleges of other majors.

Bunny glanced at Emerson, trying to sound him out,. "Emerson, should I study medicine? It seems good to be a doctor. Doctors all have bright futures."

When Emerson heard this, he muttered, "If you like medicine, you can choose to study it. If you do not, choose other schools you like!" Bunny instantly beamed like a blooming flower.

She narrowed her eyes and pointed to one of the art schools, "Then I like this one!"

Emerson could not help but raised his eyebrows.

Seeing her bright smile, he didn't know why she suddenly became so happy. It was the same as that day when she suddenly got unhappy on the car.

Sure enough, little girls' mood would change as easily as the whether of spring, rainy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon.

Emerson smiled and said, "Okay, I'll ask Secretary Zalkin to do it!"

Bunny nodded in agreement.

Secretary Zalkin took the material and left with a nod.

After lunch, they took a nap together.

The two of them would do intimate things almost every night. Emerson was especially enduring. Normally it would last until the latter half of the night, so in the daytime, Bunny would need to make up her loss of sleep by a afternoon nap.

She fell asleep very fast and she grabbed the hem of his clothes, sleeping soundly.

Not long after they fell asleep, Maid Cadwell knocked gently on the door.

Emerson was afraid of waking her up, so he took off his shirt and walked out quietly, "What's wrong?"

Maid Cadwell said, "Sir, there's a guest!"

"Guest?"

Emerson frowned and went downstairs with both hands in pockets.

There was no progress on Secretary Zalkin's investigation for the time being, but the person he wanted to find came to him.

When Emerson walked into the living room, he saw a man in a suit sitting on the sofa. He got up and reached out to Emerson and introduced himself. "Hello, Mr. Chiang, I've heard a lot about you. I'm Mathias Ladin!"

Emerson temple twitched twice.

Just as he had expected, Mathias Ladin was a man.

He had regular features, bright eyes, and a gentle and elegant temperament.

However, Mathias was much more mature than he had imagined. Mathias seemed to be three or four years older than Emerson, about thirty-six or thirty-seven years old. As Mathias spoke, he sounded like a foreign-born.

Emerson reached out and shook hands with him, "Hello!"

He motioned Mathias to sit down. Maid Cadwell brough tea and left.

Emerson remained calm and collected.

Mathias coughed and took the initiative to explain his intentions, "I've come here for Sloane!"

"Sloane?" Emerson frowned.

Mathias nodded, "Yes, Sloane Sacher. Or Bunny! Her real name is Sloane. The Sacher family migrated to Califorania many years ago. She's the daughter of the third wife of her father!"

Emerson remained silent.

There was a sound coming from the stairs.

Bunny was wearing a pair of slippers and rubbing her eyes as she walked down the stairs.

It seemed that she was also awakened by the noise, and because she didn't see Emerson, she went downstairs to look for him.

When Mathias saw Bunny, he immediately stood up, "Sloane!"

Bunny was stunned as she recognized him. She opened her small mouth and said, "Uncle... Mathias!"

In the living room, there were three people. Maid Cadwell brought a glass of freshly squeezed juice.

It was Bunny's favorite orange juice. With honey inside, it tasted sour and sweet.

Bunny did not drink it but clenched her fists tightly on her knees.

Without a word, the atmosphere in the living room became quieter.

Mathias, who was sitting at the opposite, looked at her and sighed, "Sloane, it's fine that you came here without a word, but why didn't you go back? I didn't know that you didn't go back until your parents called me. They're so worried!"

Bunny pursed her lips and lowered her head. No one could see the true look in her eyes.

Emerson listened without saying a word. Or rather, he didn't know what to say.

"Sloane, don't be so childish! You can't be so self-willed!" Mathias paused and glanced at Emerson. He changed to an earnest tone and continued to persuade, "Your parents are looking for you. They're worried. They're busy, so they asked me to find you and take you home! Listen to Uncle Mathias, we fly back to Califorania!"

Bunny sneered, and then shouted, "I don't want to go back! They won't care about me being dead or alive"

She stood up abruptly and rushed upstairs.

Mathias had a helpless expression on his face as he looked at Emerson, "Sorry to disturb you today!"

After a pause, he asked, "Mr. Chiang, can I

have a word with you?" "Yes!" Emerson stood up.

They walked out of the villa and stopped at the gate.

Mathias smiled in an elegant manner, "Mr. Chiang, Sloane has caused you trouble during this period of time!"

The corners of Emerson's mouth rose evilly, waiting for the following.

Mathias smiled and slowly continued, "Sloane had a tough time. When she was little, her mother passed away, and now, her mother is actually her stepmother. Her stepmother treated her badly, and her father, Roland Sacher, had always been listening to her stepmother. No one cared her or taught her discipline! She was left to live on her own!

"That was why she is so rebellious. She was not adorable, and she had no friends. But her nature was not bad! There is another thing-" Mathias paused at the end of his speech.

Emerson kept his countenance, but there were roaring waves in his heart.
