Not long after Anthea returned home with Erik, the sound of opening the door came from the entrance.

Then, a tall and strong figure appeared in her sight.

Sitting on the sofa and eating the doughnut, Erik saw Adam and immediately shouted in a crisp voice, "Daddy!"

Adam nodded, changed into his slippers and walked in.

Anthea blinked in surprise. "Adam, why are you back so early?"

She heard that he was having a meeting in the military region and that he might not come back for dinner, so she decided to call for a takeout just now.

Adam kept his countenance and said, "Well, the meeting was over ahead of time."

Anthea nodded and pulled his big hand, acting like a spoiled child. "Honey, go cook quickly. Erik and I are both hungry! We both desire hot pot! We want mushroom soup."

Adam looked at his innocent son and then looked down at his lovely wife.

It was the same as usual.

His clenched fishts slowly relaxed.

After receiving Carter's call, Adam came back in a hurry. Now he calmed down and thought it was ridiculous. Carter spoke and acted on hearsay. How dared he spread rumors! How could Anthea cheat on him? No way!

Adam raised his hand and touched her head. "Okay, I'll make it."

He took out the ingredients and cooked mushroom soup for hot pot. The family of three ate a hot pot.

At nine o'clock in the evening, Erik climbed into bed on time and was coaxed to sleep by Anthea.

In the study room of the master bedroom, Adam was sitting alone at the desk.

After watching him finish sweet soup, she saw the phone and asked casually, "Was it Brother Carter's call just now?"

Adam nodded and said, "Yes."

When she just came in, she seemed to hear some sounds, but it was not clear. She just felt that he was speaking very fast and excitedly.

Anthea asked with concern, "What's the matter? Why is he looking for you?" "Nothing." Adam said calmly.

His gaze was fixed on the beautiful figure in front of the mirror.

But Anthea's face was beautiful, and she was tall and slim, so her simple dress already made her very charming.

For some reason, Carter's nagging voice rang in Adam's ears again.

He was flustered.

There was a thudding sound from the opposite bedroom. Erik ran over excitedly and said, "Mommy, I've got dressed!"

"You're great!" Anthea praised.

Even though Erik had been living in the welfare house since he was a child, there was no defects in his character. He was sunny, clever, and sensible. Adam and Anthea treated him as their biological son and let him enjoy the loving atmosphere.

Hearing his mother's praise, he turned around happily.

Anthea took his little hand and said, "Honey, we're going out!"

"I'll drive you there," Adam said in a low voice.

a taxi!"

Adam said, "It's all right. It won't delay my time. I'll go to the military area after sending you there."

The car drove out of the family building in the military region.

Because it was weekend, there were not many cars on the road.

She raised her head and pointed to the front. "Adam, you can drop Erik and me there later!"

"Where's the specific location? I'll take you to the destination," said Adam.

"No!" Anthea waved her hand and said with a smile, "It's out of your way. It will take you more time to go back to the military area if you take us there. Well take a taxi on the side of the road and we'll arrive in ten minutes!"

Adam took it out from the storage space and looked at it. It was from the old commander. He picked it up.

When he hung up, the traffic lights turned red.

The car slowed down and stopped.

Anthea cried in a low voice, "You have something urgent to do in the military region, right? You go quickly. Don't waste time. Well get out of the car first!"

As soon as she finished speaking, she opened the door quickly and got out of the car.

Erik, who was sitting behind, also jumped out of the car.

They scurried to the side of the road. In the blink of an eye, they stopped a taxi and got in it. They were so fast as if they were afraid of being caught by him. He even had no chance to stop them. Adam was speechless.
