Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1340

Adam stared at her and said seriously, "Anthea, you don't need to please anyone."

Anthea knew that he was unwilling to let her suffer.

Feeling warm in her heart, she nodded with a smile. "I know!"

Anthea tried to please Bellamy, only because he was Adam's father.

Although they had not told anyone about their marriage, they were a couple now and Bellamy was her father-in-law. She really wanted to leave him a good impression.

She did not think she had suffered anything.

Adam drove away from the military hospital.

They didn't go home and decided to eat outside. They chose to have dinner in their own restaurant.

This time, Anthea looked more complacent than ever.

Because she was the real landlady now!

She was a little triumphant, but also a little shy.

During the whole meal, Anthea had been secretly glancing at Adam. Her eyes were somewhat greedy, as he was so handsome that she just couldn't take her eyes away from him. But when she thought that he was already her husband, she felt particularly proud.

Adam had noticed her, but he did not say anything.

After the meal, they remained outside.

Adam parked the car at the side of the road. The night had completely fallen. In the distance, the lights on the river bank were dazzling.

They didn't seem to be here to enjoy the night scenery. Instead, they seemed to be waiting for something.

There was a radio in the car. The sound was not loud, so the ringtone of the phone could be heard clearly.

Anthea remained serious.

She looked at Adam and saw him answer the phone.

The phone call came from Braxton, his long-time comrade-in-arm in Francis. "Adam, I have sent the mother and daughter over. The plane has just landed!"

Adam's eyes were sharp when he squinted. "Okay, let's do it according to our plan."

Anthea couldn't help swallowing saliva.

She was very nervous.

The real truth was about to be revealed tonight.

Madam Jiles had been complaining about injustice before she died, which made Anthea always suspicious. In addition, at the funeral, Uncle Jayden had mentioned angrily that Madam Jiles just wanted to lock her up and did not want her to die.

The case had been investigated again and again, but all the evidence was conclusive, and Wesley accused Madam Jiles insistently.

But unexpectedly, Anthea had met Wesley's wife and daughter by chance when she hid in Francis.

Because Wesley's wife and daughter had not registered yet, Adam could not find any information about them. But it was obvious that they left their hometowns and moved to Francis after Wesley was imprisoned.

The large sum of money in the cabinet was really suspicious. The money that Madam Jiles had used to hire Wesley had been frozen and submitted to the police as the evidence, but the mother and daughter were carrying so much money, which indicated that there might be someone else behind the scenes.

Adam asked Carter to investigate, and he did find something.

If it wasn't Madam Jiles who wanted to kill Anthea, who would want her to die so badly?

The two cases which had happened six years ago and six years later separately were actually related to one person, who had been manipulating behind the scenes

Now, they were going to expose this person!

Anthea held her breath, and kept waiting patiently.

On the highway to the airport.

The cars were running fast. Many people were going to the airport to pick up someone and then went to downtown.

The Toll Gate soon came into sight.

After the cars passed by, they all slowed down a lot, and the neon lights of the city were reflected on both sides of the car windows.

In one car, there were two men sitting in front.

Although they were dressed in casual clothes, they still looked dignified. There was a woman holding a little girl in her arms in the back seat. The little girl was young, and her chicken pox had healed. She asked innocently, "Mom, are we coming back to see dad?"

The woman immediately held her daughter tightly and did not let her continue to speak.

The little girl knew nothing and obediently shut her mouth when she saw her mother staring at her in panic.

At this time, the car suddenly braked.

There was a car accident in front, which had caused multiple collisions. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the traffic was clogging.

The car horns came one after another.

Because it was too crowded, no car could move forward even a little bit.

The plainclothes police in the passenger seat got off first to inquire about the situation, but it had not been resolved for a long time and the driver also became impatient and got out. He went to the front of the car, and looked ahead.

Now the woman was alone with her daughter inside.

Suddenly, the door at her side was opened.

Someone grabbed her arm and whispered, "Come with me!"

The woman was stunned at first, but she quickly nodded when she recognized the person.

When she got off the car, she was still in a panic. She looked back at the two plainclothes policemen, who looked relaxed and did not notice her whereabouts.

The comer had already helped her daughter gotten into the taxi next to her. The woman hurried to get inside, too. Then the driver of the taxi stepped on the gas and drove away from another road without a trace.

Staring at the rearview mirror nervously, the woman saw that two police officers were still negotiating with other people about the road condition and did not find out that she had run away. She was relieved. An hour later, the taxi arrived at an old city area.

There were almost no high-rise buildings here, compared with the prosperity of the downtown area. It looked relatively shabby around.

At this time, many inhabitants had turned on their lights.

After getting off the car, they entered a one-bedroom apartment on the sixth floor.

The furniture inside was very old and it seemed to be rented all the time.

After the door was closed, the woman rubbed her hands and called, "Miss Celestin!"

She knew that her husband was working for her, but she had no idea what Miss Celestin's job was. She just heard her husband always calling her Miss Celestin.

Two months ago, her husband was caught, and

Miss Celestin had once visited her and her daughter.

She gave them a large sum of money and asked them to go far away.

Miss Celestin said, "I've already sent news to Mr. Linzell. He asked me to secretly send you and your daughter away as soon as possible!"

The woman hugged her daughter in confusion and asked nervously, "Then where are we going this time?"

Miss Celestin looked down at her watch and said slowly, "You stay here for one night. At three o'clock in the morning, when people are in a deep sleep, I'll pick you up. You are going to take a trip by sea, and then take a plane to go abroad!"

The woman nodded vigorously, as if she had finally found her backbone.

However, when she lowered her head to coax her daughter, she didn't see the viciousness flashing through Miss Celestin's eyes.
