Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1314

This was the first time that they could stand in front of Master Hsu above board.

There was no need for them to hide or to worry about anything.

A bunch of chrysanthemums was placed in front of the tombstone.

Adam knew that if Anthea particularly wanted to visit Master Hsu's grave, she must have a lot of words to say to the old man. Then, he said, "Anthea, stay with your grandpa for a while. I'll wait for you at the foot of the mountain."

Anthea nodded. "Okay!"

After Adam's tall figure left, she slowly squatted down in front of the tombstone.

Looking at the old man's benevolent smile in the photo, Anthea raised her hand and caressed it gently.

There were a lot of things she wanted to say to the old man, but suddenly she felt that words couldn't express her emotions. She looked at it for a moment. Finally, she smiled gently, showing two small dimples like before, and she said sweetly, "Grandpa, thank you!"

"Thank you for your love for me.

"Thank you for allowing Adam and me to be together."

Anthea knew that Master Hsu must have been shocked when he learned about her relationship with Adam. He must be sad and disappointed about it, but in the end he still admitted Anthea could be with Adam if she really wanted it...

Unfortunately, she had no chance to be filial to this kind-hearted old man again.

When Anthea came down from the mountain, Adam was leanning against the front part of the jeep.

It was a rare instance to see him stand in such a casual posture, with one leg bent forward, while the body shape was powerful and smooth.

With a cigarette in his mouth, he lowered his head and lit it up.

A silver lighter was held by his slender fingers. A deep blue flame was on tope of the lighter, while white smoke swirled around it.

Anthea walked to him with her little hands on her back. She stared at the small lighter.

She seemed to have been scratched in the heart by something.

The red circle at the bottom of the lighter made her smile.

However, when she thought of the gunshot scar on his left chest, Anthea felt distressed.

She leaned forward, hug his waist, and nestled her head into his arms. "Adam, you keep it all the time!"

"Yes." There was happiness in Adam's black eyes. "You gave it to me as a gift."

At the bottom of the lighter was the red Love Bean Anthea had carved.

Anthea likened herself to be the Love Bean which was carved at the bottom of the lighter. She wanted her image to stay with Adam all the time. During the six years of separation, she was not there with him. However, whenever Adam lit up a cigarette, the image of Love Bean would remind him of Anthea Lee.

Anthea raised her hand and touched her necklace.

She was like him.

Adam's dark eyes looked at her, and a mischievous smile suddenly appeared. "Anthea, I already knew the meaning of the lighter as a gift. If a woman sends a man a lighter, it means that she wants to marry him. Haw-haw... Am I right?"

Anthea's little face instantly turned red. "I don't understand what you're talking about!"

Adam raised his eyebrows and said, "You don't understand?"

"I don't understand!" Anthea bit her lips.

Adam exhaled a mouthful of smoke and added slowly, "If you don't understand, forget it."

Hearing this, Anthea widened her eyes.

Forget it? How could that be!

Being stared at by Adam so patiently, Anthea was too embarrassed to say it directly. In the end, she could only stamp her feet in shame and anger."... Hey!"

Adam's lips curled into a smile.

There was an air of delightfulness in his eyes, and his chest was slightly rising and falling out of excitement.

Adam was indeed very delightful, and his laughter echoed in the air.

Six years later, they met again. He had seen Anthea wearing a white gown or surgical gown many times. When she was treating a patient or having an operation, she appeared to be calm and more mature than she was in the past. She was no longer the naive little girl studying in the school. Now she could handle almost everything alone.

However, as Adam looked at her bulging cheeks now, he suddenly found that his little girl had not changed that much.

This was great!

In the evening, the sun was setting.

After Anthea finished the last operation today and went out, she stretched her muscles and bones while she was walking. She suddenly saw that Mila, with the casebook in her hand, was walking toward her. Her eyes flickered slightly. "Director Lee, someone is waiting for you in the office!"

Hearing this, Anthea couldn't help but look at the door of the office nearby.

She blushed slightly. "I know!"

After Mila watched Anthea leaving, her eyes rolled up slightly, and then she quickly ran away.

A bashful expression appeared on Anthea's face.

She thought that it must be Adam who came to her office. She was so happy that even her footsteps became brisker.

When Anthea pushed the door of the office open and saw the person inside, she was stunned. "... Eric?"

After reuniting with Adam, she almost had forgotten Eric Chafee.

Anthea felt somewhat embarrassed.

Eric stood up from his chair and said with a smile, "I'm back from my business trip, Anthea!"

"So fast?!!" Anthea was surprised.

It seemed that only a week had passed since Eric suddenly came to her home to say goodbye to her that night. Anthea could still roughly remember that Eric had told her that the business trip might last for 10- 15 days!

Eric explained with a smile, "I came back home earlier than expected mainly because the work was finished smoothlierthan expected. Many of my colleagues have their own families, and they missed their wives and children so much. That's why my colleagues and I agreed on coming home earlier!"

"So it is!" Anthea nodded.

Eric said, "Anthea, although you said you don't need any gift, I still have bought you some cosmetics. My colleagues brought these cosmetics for their wives and I bought them together. It should be the most popular cosmetics at the moment!"

Seeing this, Anthea had to say, "Thank you. I'll transfer the money to you later!"

Eric waved his hand and said, "Don't be so polite to me. These are just gifts I want to give you!"

Anthea shook her head. She was very persistent about giving the money back.

After all, they just became acquainted with each other after the blind date. The so-called "boyfriend" was just an excuse she made up to lie to Adam. The two of them had never really established a lovers' relationship. For this reason, it was inappropriate for Anthea to take Eric's things for free.

"Anthea, let's have lunch together, okay?"

Anthea had planned to tell Eric what's going on. She didn't want to waste his time.

However, if she said so directly in the office where her colleagues were also there, it would appear to be impolite. It sounded like a good idea to have lunch together with Eric. She could pay the bill and apologize to him.

Anthea nodded. "Okay!"

She took off her white gown, picked up the coat, and left the hospital with Eric.

When the two of them walked near the silver-gray car, as expected, Eric took out a large bunch of red roses from the back seat, as he always did.

Anthea didn't accept the roses this time. Instead, she said, "Put them in the car first!"

They drove away from the hospital.

The car arrived at a restaurant nearby, where the environment was good and quiet. This was a restaurant for home-style cuisines.

After they finished ordering the dishes, the waiter brought two cups of drinks for them.

Anthea cut to the chase. "Eric, I have something to tell you!"

"Say it, Anthea!" Eric smiled.

Anthea said very seriously, "We became acquainted with each other on a blind date. We used to be schoolmates in the same medical college... You are really a very good person! I also wanted to learn more about you, but I..."

Before she could finish her words, her mobile phone rang.

Anthea had to stop and say sorry to Eric. Then, she took out her phone from the bag.

The screen displayed Carter's phone number. As soon as she picked it up, a roar came from over the phone, "Ow... Sister Anthea, it's not good..."
