Chapter Welcome Back
Chapter 2
Micah
“They’re on the move Micah find the target and bring her here safely.”
“Yes Master.”
Enjeru
My eyes flutter open, and I look down at my arm. I’m in a hospital somewhere judging by the IV and the beeping of a heart monitor. I sigh knowing that this is going to be trouble. My foster parents won’t be mad, but they won’t be happy either. I turn to my right expecting my foster parents. Instead, I see a boy about my age pacing silently. He looks worried and is silently talking to himself which confuses me. I examine him more closely noticing he’s fairly handsome. He has deep jet black hair, olive toned skin, and lavender eyes that are very much like my own. He’s handsome for sure, but I have no idea who he is and I don’t think I could forget another person who has lavender eyes. He doesn’t seem to notice I’m awake which annoys me a bit because I want to know who he is.
For all, I know he could be a long lost brother or something here to take me back to my real family. My patience grows thinner with every passing minute. How does someone not notice another person staring? How can one person be that oblivious!!!
“Who the hell are you?” I snap.
I quickly cover my mouth not having meant to say that out loud. He turns around at a loss for words and doesn’t answer me. I wonder what’s going through his mind and I can’t help but shrink back a little. For all, I know he could hurt me as well. Damn it Enjeru think before you say things, that’s why you’re in the hospital now.
“Ah...what did you ask?”
“I said who are you?”
“Oh. . . . . um. . . I’m Micah.”
“Okay, Micah so why are you in my room?”
“If that’s even your real name,” I mumble.
“Did you say something else?”
“No, and could you please answer my questions before asking any?”
“Well that’s easy I wanted to make sure you were okay. I did save you after all.”
I stare at him in absolute confusion.
“Hold up. You saved me there’s no way.”
“Why?” His voice cracks.
“because that.......boy....my...broth.... er..saved me.”
Micah
She falls back onto her pillow out cold. I quickly grab my phone and hit the first number on the log.
“Master.”
“Yes, Micah did you succeed?”
“Yes and no.”
“How so?” My master asks frustrated.
“Well I have her here in the room, but it appears she’s begging to remember. Cuz she mentioned him.”
“You mean...”
“Yeah him.”
“Micah it has to be a trap get out of there now.”
“Ok......”
Enjeru
“Micah? Micah!!!!”
“Sorry he can’t answer the phone right now but I’ll take a message.”
“You little....”
I hang the phone up and drop it.
“So brother are you going to stand out there all night or are you going to hand me my clothes?”
A figure appears in front of the open window. It jumps down into my room. I stare at the lavender eyes, and slight smirk forming on his face.
“Welcome back sister,” Kiro says as he bows.
“What took you so long? Do you know how shitty my life has been since everything was sealed away?”
“I can only imagine sister dear though I must admit seeing you in such a weak state was quite comical.”
“So glad I could entertain you big brother,” I growl rolling my eyes.
He hands me my clothes and turns away.
“Oh please, we only shared a womb together.”
“You weren’t a queen back then either were you?”
“And you didn’t have such a stick up your ass, but look at you now.”
“Still as rude as ever.”
“Still as annoying as ever.”
I smooth my skirt out and tuck my shirt in. Kiro turns back to me nodding as if approving of the look.
“How many years has it been?”
“Oh, 50 or so give or take.”
“Why did it take so long for you to find me? I’m not exactly normal.”
“They hid you well after I found you the first time. They placed you with normal human parents who had no idea of your true background. All records of who you stayed with were destroyed each time you switched homes. Your memory was changed so you thought every family was your first family. They even made you age. That’s not including the fact that all your magic was sealed away. Because of that, there was little to nothing to track you with.”
“Sounds like there’s a puzzle that can stump even the great Kiro.”
“How you finish is always the most important if I remember correctly. And I found you so I finished strong.”
“Very interesting Kiro, but now what are we to do the big bad men of Libra are here to steal me away again,” I whine pointing to the army outside on the lawn.
“We kill them of course,” He smirks.
“Well then let’s begin. It’s been 50 long years and I’m ready to spread my wings,”
“The stage is yours sister.”
