Princess Comeback

Chapter 56 Prosperity of Those Following Me, Death of Those Against Me

When did she lose confidence?

After a moment of silence, Jacob raised his hand to the window and said slowly: "Ashley bullied you so long, I thought you would never fight back."

Suddenly, she felt inexplicably relieved.

"Didn't we go to the company?" Jacob took a look at the front, which was the way back home.

Sarah held the steering wheel and took a look at the time on the screen. "I will take you home first. In the evening, Brandon invited me to eat seafood. But your wound was not recovered, so I will not take you." Jacob grunted in his heart.

Brandon must be afraid that he would follow her.

Even though he was angry, Jacob said, "OK, girls should not drive at night."

Sarah watched Jacob enter the door and drove away.

Just as she left, a taxi passed behind her and ran to the other road.

In Island Restaurant.

As soon as Sarah entered, a waiter came forward, "Are you Miss Sarah?"

She was stunned and nodded, "I am."

Then, a large handful of white roses was handed to her. "Mr. Brandon prepares this for you. Mr. Brandon has arrived. Please follow me."

Her heart was pounding. She didn't feel surprised but had a fear of the unknown.

This fear accompanied her to the box door, and then the door was opened.

"Please come in."

Brandon stood straight and upright at the corner of the table as if waiting for her. "Brandon, what are you doing?"

She looked at him confusedly. This practice was so solemn that she was caught unprepared.

She was confused by these flowers, red wine, and candlelight.

"This is my surprise for you. Do you like it?" Brandon pointed to the desserts on the table, which were delicate and beautiful.

"I think it's a shock. You called me to invite me to eat seafood. I thought we may go to the sidewalk snack booth."

Brandon wanted to say how the sidewalk snack booth could match you. But he just said, "Today we eat in the seafood restaurant, and tomorrow we go to the sidewalk snack booth."

He snapped his fingers and soon the waiter brought the meal to the table.

There was a dish with coriander on it. He placed it directly on Sarah's plate. "Try this oyster. It just exported abroad, so it was very fresh."

Sarah frowned, picked up the chopsticks, and pushed the parsley froth away bit by bit.

"Why don't you eat coriander?" Brandon frowned.

"I didn't like coriander since I was a child, OK?"

Brandon paused for a moment. In his memory, when they were having dinner together some time ago, Jacob said exactly what Sarah didn't like.

He whispered, "Your bodyguard knows your taste better than me."

At first, it sounded a little envious, but for Sarah, whose reflection arc was slow, it was a compliment.

She followed, "I also thought my bodyguard was very good. After living for so many years, no one could remember my taste. Should you review yourself?"

It was not faithful to forget that she didn't like coriander!

Brandon looked at her helplessly, "I'm trying to make you eat a balanced diet."

"Well, you are very considerate. I accept your kindness!"

Sarah raised the oyster with the coriander peeled and smiled cunningly.

In the middle of the meal, Sarah took a red cloth bag and put it in front of Brandon.

"I want you to do one thing for me."

Brandon accepted it, and after hearing Sarah's simple explanation, his expression showed a touch of surprise.

"What was your plan now?" He asked.

Sarah slowly stretch out her body and said in a cold voice, "Those who submit will prosper, those who resist shall perish."

Brandon answered the phone halfway. There was an emergency at the hospital. He had to leave early and bought the bill before he left.

Sarah was bland to the seafood. She was not a seafood lover.

But Brandon, her friend of many years, invited her, so she came here.

She called the waiter, "Please help me pack these."

The waiter agreed.

It's too heavy to carry a bag of seafood of considerable weight.

When she went out, there was an old garbage collector at the parking place not far away arguing with the security guard about something. His clothes were shabby.

"You had seriously affected our business. If you want to pick up garbage, go somewhere else."

The aggressive attitude of the security guard was understandable, but the old man hunched down and said nothing.

A feeling of sadness and sympathy came out of her heart and she stepped forward.

"Uncle, take this bag of food to eat and leave. Almost nobody has eaten it."

Sarah raises her hand and passed the bag.

The old man paused, but never looked up, probably because he was in a tangle.

The security guard recognized Sarah's identity. He leaned over slightly, "I'm sorry, Miss Sarah, for causing you trouble."

Sarah raised her empty hand and waved, "No trouble, it's just a small matter."

Her eyes fell on the old man, and her hands didn't move.

Suddenly, several 'gurgling' sounds came from the stomach in the silent air.

The next second, the bag was taken away by a pair of dark and dirty hands.

Before leaving, the man glanced up at Sarah in a hurry and then left without looking back.

She turned and got into the car, started the engine, and left.

In Sarah's villa.

When she stood on the steps, a dark shadow flashed past. She blinked her eyes, but there was nothing.

Was it because she was dazzled?

After entering the door, the porch light was on, and the living room was dark.

"Jacob?" She shouted.

There was no response.

She turned the light on, and suddenly the room was bright.

In the quiet living room, there was no Jacob.

She went upstairs and knocked on the door of Jacob's bedroom, "Jacob, did you sleep?"

Still, no one answered. Driven by concern, she gently pushed open the bedroom door.

On the spacious bed, the man lay quietly with his eyes closed, and he seemed to have fallen asleep.

She gently closed the door again.

At the moment when the door closed, the person lying on the bed suddenly opened his eyes.

He took out Tablet PC under the quilt. The Tablet PC was still on, and Brian's figure appeared on the screen. "President?"

They were originally holding a video conference, but Jacob suddenly buckled his Tablet PC in the middle of the meeting. It was dark, and only a slight sound of going upstairs was heard. Jacob sat up. He tore the wound with too much action, which made him keep frowning.

"Say."
