As soon as they finished dinner, Robert excused himself and Jorge followed right after and he locked the bedroom door.
As soon as they both settled, Jorge attacked his grandson with questions.
“What did you do to Elisa that suddenly makes her want to leave? Did you divorce her? What did you do!”
He wasn’t smiling at all and he was definitely ready to pounce on Robert. For the first time in a while, he remembered why he was scared of his grandpa. He wasn’t too old to discipline him after all.
“She wants to go back to school, and I have nothing to do so quit it. Stop bothering me, old man!”
“I’m sure she said it so I wouldn’t get angry! Tell me, what did you say to her!”
“Nothing! I said nothing to her!”
“If you don’t admit it, I can’t help you. Sooner or later, you will regret it! We’re leaving by morning. It’s your loss, you little shit!” After the grandfather finished speaking, he turned around and left.
Just before Robert could recover from the shouting, his grandfather came back.
“You’re not staying here. You’re coming with us, even if it won’t be tomorrow. I’m not playing with you, so don’t test me. If I don’t see you in Washington within the week, things will have to change between us.”
As soon as his grandfather banged the door and left, Robert proceeded to laugh like a maniac. It was a painful laughter, since he really couldn’t believe the turn of events.
Well, he had no choice but to agree to move. He wasn’t doing it for Elisa, or so he thought.
He remembered sleeping soundly that night, knowing it was going to be one of his last in a while. Elisabeth was going to drive him crazy with her bullshit and make his grandfather turn against him, so he was getting ready for it.
The next morning, everyone was already up by the time he took his shower and got dressed. He could handle himself pretty well with the wheelchair so he didn’t need much help. By the time he came out, the house was empty, and he slightly panicked because they didn’t bother to tell him that they were about to leave.
Even though he pretended not to care, he was hurt, very much hurt. Elisa!
When he checked the entrance, he felt mild relief because he saw both his grandfather and Elisa standing right outside, while their remaining luggages was getting loaded.
He came out and both got startled as they saw him. It was still quite early so the sun was just peeking out a
little bit.
“Good morning. I’d love to drive Elisa, since I don’t have anything I’m doing at home anyway.”
Robert suddenly said, and he couldn’t even believe it himself. He wanted to be close to her, at least for the last time since she finally showed how much she despised him. She looked so beautiful that morning that it hurt that everyone got to see her that way. Shit, what had gotten into him?

smiled. Which means, she must have heard it. He repeated himself again and the just nodded, white will looking away. She was so over it at this point, and she really couldn’t care about who took h airport. The earlier she was out of there, the better for her.
When it was finally happening, as in, he was already waiting for her to hop in and her grandfatet wn about to leave in a separate car, she came back to her senses. She didn’t want to go done with Rober Infact, she didn’t want to be seen with him anymore. Since he hated her, she was going to hate him too
She ran to her grandfather’s window, begging him to let her go with him while Robert watched the whole scene unfold with anger.
He opened his car door, and ordered her to get in.
“Elisa! Come over here and get in, now?”
Elisa looked visibly scared and it hurt him to see her that way but it was obviously the only way he could get her to cooperate.
When she vehemently refused, he glared at his grandfather, expecting him to do something
Jorge then proceeded to beg Elisa to join Robert, even though he didn’t want to break her hear
“Elisa. It’s just a short trip to the airport. Join him, this one is full as you can see. Just, join him for me okay? Do it for me.”
He pleaded, and watched her drag her feet like a spoiled child dejectedly, then sat down at the passenger seat of Roberts car. A smile left his lips as he instructed his driver to start going Hopefully, they were going to sort things out amicably soon, if they hadn’t already divorced without his knowledge. He was going to shove that fear aside for now.
Robert was happy because from there to the airport was about an hour away. He had enough time to torture his wife, because she was still his. He almost signed the divorce papers, but what fun was it going to be if it meant he wouldn’t have any claim on her again? It didn’t sound like fun in his ears.
Robert glanced sideways and stared at Elisabeth, causing his eyebrows to furrow. Why did she look so dejected and unhappy and she stared at the road, expressionless?
Robert suppressed his unhappiness and raised his hand to unbutton his collar. He was feeling uncomfortable, and it made him hotter.
Suddenly, he made a sharp turn because apparently, he didn’t see the car that was about to hit them on time.
Just like that, Elisabeth came crashing on him as she wasn’t wearing a seat belt since they just started the journey, her cherry lips on his. It wasn’t intentional since her body was pushed forcefully but he felt something. He felt something he shouldn’t have felt.
She raised her head in panic, her long and thick hair covering her face messily. It doesn’t look messy and her eyes are more transparent, black and white and clear.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.”
She pleaded, almost crying.
