Chapter 42
Chapter 42
Andrew stared fixedly at Elizabeth who was walking toward him. His eyes lit up with a trace of surprise, and his heart beat wildly as if it had been struck by something.
Seeing Andrew standing in place without saying a word, Elizabeth lowered her head immediately and looked at her outfit. “What’s wrong? Doesn’t this outfit look good? It was you who chose it.”
“No, it looks good. Let’s go.”
Hearing Elizabeth’s words. Andrew came back to his senses. In order to hide his loss of composure just now, he retracted his gaze quickly, turning around and striding out of the villa.
Elizabeth pursed her lips in confusion and caught up with Andrew.
Robert, who had witnessed everything, could not help but smile meaningfully after Andrew and Elizabeth left.
He thought. “A reticent CEO and his ignorant wife. What a perfect couple made in heaven!”
The venue for talking about the collaboration was the restaurant on the top floor of the Stars Hotel. When Andrew and Elizabeth arrived, the representative of the Hall Group had been there. It was a beautiful woman who looked exquisite and capable.
“Mr. Hayes, this way.”
When the woman saw Andrew, she smiled brightly, and her eyes were mixed with joy and excitement.
“Hello.” Andrew nodded at the woman as a form of greeting.
However, the woman did not seem to notice Andrew’s coldness. She took a few more steps forward and extended her hand.
“Mr. Hayes, nice to see you.”
Elizabeth had been following Andrew all the time. When she saw Andrew frown, she knew that he was uncomfortable with the woman’s approach.
If Andrew shook hands with the woman, Elizabeth was afraid that his illness would attack again later and that the collaboration would be ruined.
“Hello, Miss Hall. Mr. Hayes is also happy to see you. However, he has been suffering from a serious cold these few days and is afraid of infecting you. So, there’s no need to shake hands.”
As Elizabeth spoke, she took a few steps forward and shook hands with the woman on behalf of Andrew.
The long–awaited contact was interrupted by Elizabeth who suddenly appeared. Moreover, Elizabeth was so good–looking and so intimate with Andrew.
Sophia Hall became vigilant in her heart, and a trace of imperceptible displeasure flashed across her eyes.
Sophia smiled awkwardly and did not show her dissatisfaction.
“Mr. Hayes, take good care of yourself. Let’s talk here.”
Sophia came back to her senses quickly and began to discuss the collaboration seriously with Andrew.
Because it was an open–air restaurant and Elizabeth was by his side, Andrew did not find it unbearable.
About half an hour later, they reached cooperation smoothly.
“Tll look forward to our next collaboration, Miss Hall. See you next time.”
Andrew said goodbye to Sophia in a business–like manner. Then, he pulled Elizabeth and turned to leave.
“Mr. Hayes, wait a moment.”
Sophia stood up anxiously and caught up with Andrew. She could not bear to see him leave just like that, and it seemed that she still had something to tell him.
Standing beside Andrew, Elizabeth saw the scene and murmured in her heart, “If not for the misogyny, with Andrew’s popularity, he would probably have a lot of girlfriends.”
“Miss Hall, what’s wrong?”
“Mr. Hayes, do you remember me?”
Sophia looked at Andrew with anticipation in her eyes and changed from a capable woman with a serious attitude when they were talking about work to a shy girl who saw the boy she liked.
“You are?” Andrew frowned. He had no impression of Sophia at all.
“The Hall family is a long–time friend of the Hayes family, and before the Hall family emigrated, the two familles often dined together. I’m Chairman Hall’s granddaughter. We had fun together in the past. Andrew, do you still remember?”

Sophia asked and changed the way she addressed Andrew.
“I don’t remember, Miss Hall. I still have things to do.”
After saying that, Andrew turned around and strode away with Elizabeth.
Sophia stared at Andrew’s departing figure and was not discouraged by his cold attitude toward her.
Regardless of whether Andrew still remembered her or not, she would try her best to make him care about her.
In the car, Elizabeth looked at Andrew with a teasing smile.
“You don’t remember Sophia indeed, or you don’t want to recognize her because of misogyny?”
When Andrew heard that, his face darkened, and he looked at Elizabeth with some displeasure in his eyes.
Elizabeth was stunned. “It’s alright. You can recognize her when you’re cured.”
After saying that, Elizabeth felt a sense of displeasure in her heart, and even she could not figure out why.
As soon as Elizabeth finished her words, Andrew suddenly approached her and blocked her in the corner of the backseat.
“Elizabeth, do you still remember your identity?”
Andrew’s tone was a little unfriendly as he asked through gritted teeth, and his heavy breathing told Elizabeth that he was
angry now.
“Did I say something wrong?”
Elizabeth was dumbfounded. She could not figure out why Andrew was angry.
“Remember your identity well. You’re my wife, and you should show your stance and drive the women who want to approach me far away!”
Andrew’s handsome face was slightly red, and it must be because he was angry at Elizabeth.
Seeing Andrew’s furious look, Elizabeth couldn’t help but laugh. “I know. I’ll defend the authority of Mrs. Hayes in the future, okay? Don’t be angry.”
Elizabeth’s tone was gentle as if she was coaxing Andrew like a child.
Only then did Andrew’s gloomy expression ease a little.
He let go of Elizabeth and sat up straight, tidying his wrinkled suit. “It’s good that you know. Don’t say similar words again.” Perhaps because of Elizabeth’s flirting, Andrew’s ears were a little red although his expression didn’t change greatly.
Elizabeth took a few more glances at him, and then her lips curled into a faint smile.
She thought to herself, “With the first personality, Andrew is not only easy to get along with but also easy to flirt with. He is
so cute!”
Days passed. The investigation of Elizabeth’s biological mother continued smoothly, and even some clues and information. in the sanatorium were found.
Meanwhile, Andrew’s treatment plan had never stopped. Elizabeth was indeed a specialist in psychology overseas. She was professional, and because of her treatment, Andrew’s condition was improving bit by bit.
The good news also spread to Benjamin. Knowing that Elizabeth was so capable, he asked Andrew to bring her to the old house to reward her.
