Chapter 100
Chapter 100
Andrew came to take Elizabeth home, but Peter stopped Andrew and chatted with him happily.
However, Peter didn’t get to the point, which puzzled Andrew.
When the car left the house, Andrew asked Elizabeth, sitting in the front passenger seat, “I heard that grandfather is delighted today. He even ate more than he used to tonight.
“Did something good happen?”
“Sort of Elizabeth did not expect to face this topic so soon. Feeling embarrassed, she touched the tip of her nose and turned to look at Andrew. “Well…
“Didn’t you say before that you weren’t ready to be a father?”
“Yes, what’s wrong?” Andrew looked at Elizabeth, who wanted to say something but hesitated. He guessed in his heart.
“It’s just…”
Elizabeth pinched her fingers. She did not know how to make that clear. “Is this your excuse to give others the runaround, or do you mean it? Do you not want a child?”
Andrew jerked his head at Elizabeth.
Because he moved too much, the front of the car suddenly tilted to the side.
“Watch out!” Elizabeth was shocked.
Andrew wrenched the steering wheel and stopped at the side of the road.
He stared at Elizabeth and saw the embarrassment on her face. He instantly understood what she wanted to do. He shook his head with a straight face. “You don’t have to do this.”
“Why not?”
With that blunt words, Elizabeth didn’t feel awkward anymore.
She unbuckled her seatbelt and turned her body to face Andrew. She said earnestly, “We’re our morals to have a child. Right?
“Besides, I don’t hate children.
“It should be said that I’m looking forward to having a child of my own. I want to raise
Andrew still refused to agree. “It’s too hard on you.”
Kally married. It’s not against
a child. How magical is that?”
He knew in his heart that grandfather must have urged Elizabeth. That was why Elizabeth offered to have a child. However, that matter should have been a burden on his shoulders. Now, Elizabeth had to bear it.
While Andrew was touched, he also hated himself for being useless.
“It’s not.” Elizabeth knew Andrew had a deep misunderstanding. She rubbed her eyebrows helplessly and said, “You know what kind of situation my family is in, right?
“Although I had parents. I lived like an orphan when I was young.
“Other kids had their parents accompanying them, and I was all alone when I went to the amusement park.
“When other children’s parents came to the parent–teacher conference, I would sit in my seat as the parent.
“After a child got into a fight with his classmate, his parents would settle it for him, but I had to stand there and endure the ridicule and disdain of many people.
“I’m not an orphan, but I’m more lonely than an orphan.
“Ever since I was young. I had always wanted a home that belonged to me, a husband that would not leave me, and an adorable and sensible child.
“Do you understand how I feel?”
“I understand.” Andrew held Elizabeth’s hand. “I do understand.”
“No, you don’t.”
Elizabeth raised her head and looked straight at Andrew. Her eyes were cold. “You have your grandfather who dotes on you. We are different.
“Andrew, having a child is not a whim. Let me tell you this. I’ve been thinking about this question since your grandfather
asked last time.

“Now I understand that no matter what your condition is, no matter how our marriage will be, it won’t stop me from having a child.”
Andrew was surprised.
Not until Elizabeth told him her feelings did Andrew realize the pessimism under Elizabeth’s gentle smile.
However, he was even more surprised that Elizabeth still had expectations for having a child after experiencing those hardships.
*You…” Andrew wanted to say something but did not know what to think and could not say anything.
The car stopped quietly by the roadside.
A considerable time elapsed, and Andrew started the car again and drove home.
But along the way, the two of them were silent. Neither of them spoke first.
The car stopped in the garage. Elizabeth got out of the car and entered the villa before Andrew.
Andrew stood at the entrance and looked at Elizabeth’s slender back. He felt a little upset.
“Elizabeth,” he called out to her, who was already on the stairs. “Shall we give it a try?
“Let’s try and have a child.”
Elizabeth turned around in surprise and fixed her eyes on Andrew, standing in the light with a determined expression. The lights that shone on him seemed warm and seeped towards her bit by bit.
She couldn’t help but smile.
It was as if the layer of ice wrapped around her body had cracked. She suddenly became scorching, at least burning Andrew.
“Okay, let’s try,” she smiled and reached out her hand to Andrew. “You’re so good–looking. Our baby will be beautiful too.”
Andrew’s ears turned red when he saw Elizabeth extending her hand to him on the stairs as if she was inviting him.
Andrew was amazed.
He thought, “Didn’t she realize what her actions meant?
“Before having a child, there was a necessary procedure. If she invites me so directly, L..
“I will accept it gladly!”
Andrew, secretly delighted, quickly walked to the stairs and held Elizabeth’s hand. If one looked closely, one would notice that his footsteps were much lighter than usual.
Elizabeth stared at the tips of Andrew’s red cars. She suddenly realized what she had just done and felt somewhat
uncomfortable.
Yet, Andrew would not give her a chance to retreat.
He pulled Elizabeth into the bedroom.
“Do you want to take a shower?” Elizabeth lowered her head and pointed in the direction of the bathroom. “You first or me
first?”
Her shy look made her look like a newlywed.
Elizabeth’s shyness tugged Andrew’s heartstrings, and he blurted out, “Shall we shower together?”
“No.” Elizabeth looked up and glared at him. “Then I will go first.”
Click.
The bathroom door closed.
Andrew had been trying his best to look serious. When Elizabeth was not around, he quickly ran to the chest of drawers, took our a scented candle, lit it, and sprayed some perfume on the bed.
Then, he gazed at the empty bed and ran out fast to pluck some petals and sprinkle them on the bed.
After setting it up, he turned off the light and looked at the flickering candlelight. It emitted a gentle glow that shone on the bright red petals. Andrew was satisfied.
He looked down at himself and took off his clothes hurriedly. He took a deep breath and prepared to push open the bathroom door.
“What?”
Elizabeth came out wrapped in a towel and saw Andrew’s hand, which was about to push the door open. She immediately moved aside and said, “Go ahead.”
Andrew smiled awkwardly and nodded slowly. “Alright.”
Snap.
Before he entered the bathroom, Elizabeth turned on the lights. The bright lights dispersed the romantic atmosphere in the room right away.
Elizabeth glanced at the bed. “The petals…”
Clack!
The only answer she got was the sound of the bathroom door slamming shut.
Elizabeth could not help but cover her mouth and laugh.
She did not expect Andrew to have such a side. Unfortunately, she ruined it. “Never mind,” she thought, “I will compensate you later.”
