Pokémon Court

Chapter 42: Knowledge? Knowledge!

Breeder, this is a very vast concept, different from the “training” of Trainers who constantly improve their strength through training and battles. Breeders, on the other hand, constantly explore the essence and truth, pursuing the unknown through theory and practice.

The establishment of the Breeder Association had also given these people their own formal profession and job.

In some aspects, their influence even surpasses that of the Pokémon League!

However, although the Breeder Association has also developed rapidly, the knowledge, logic, and theoretical abilities required to become a qualified Breeder are too great, which limits many people. Additionally, the existence of Pokémon with different personalities and characteristics poses a challenge to the expansion of Breeders. Moreover, the way information was exchanged at that time was an insurmountable barrier to the formation of the Breeder profession.

In contrast, driven by the Pokémon League, the support for ordinary people continues to    improve. Additionally, with the discovery of technology as the second major aid to humans outside of Pokémon, the Pokémon League has taken a completely different path from the Breeder Association. One side focuses on researching technology, while the other delves into Pokémon knowledge.

However, in the end, with the Pokémon League combining technology and Breeder knowledge to create the Poké Ball, the Trainer profession experienced a revitalization and emerged with newfound brilliance. It rapidly spread throughout the world like a wildfire, spreading at an astonishing pace.

With the creation of the Poké Ball, the Pokémon League prepared to strengthen its own authority, quickly giving rise to a new wave of Trainers. Even with no prior knowledge, individuals could embark on journeys with just a few Pokémon, continuously gaining valuable experience through travel. They would then capture more Pokémon, becoming the League’s most advantageous allies in exploring various regions. Through this method, the Pokémon League ultimately became more widely recognized and officially became known as the organization for Trainers.

But even so, Breeders are still a formidable force that cannot be ignored. Families like the Joy family are among the top decision-makers of the Breeder Association, and their influence among Trainers is undeniable.

And now, over two hundred years later, both Trainers and Breeders have found their rightful paths, and the trends have almost become established.

The name of the progenitor of Breeders, Generation, has also gradually become a legend.

“Phew…” Terrance exhaled after reading Mr. Generation’s experiences. He marveled at the immense perseverance it took for someone to persist in the wilderness for decades just to explore the knowledge about Pokémon.

“Incredible.” Even Terrance, a transmigrator, couldn’t help but admire the person who achieved the rapid development of the Breeder profession. The birth of Breeders also made a significant contribution to the progress of society.

“Are there words at the back?” When he reached the last page, Terrance saw that there were some quotes at the end.

In his later years, Mr. Generation often spoke these words: “Whether it’s Trainer or Breeder, one should strive to achieve the goals outlined in their philosophy through the knowledge they possess, rather than relying on mere fantasies.”

Upon reading these words, memories from the past suddenly came to Terrance’s mind. Whether on Earth or in this world, it was through tedious and mundane knowledge that he changed his own destiny.

What he learned in this world presented him with the greatest opportunities, whether it was the recognition from Master Victor, tangible benefits, or his alignment with the mainstream of this world—it all had a significant correlation.

Putting down the book “Generation,” Terrance couldn’t help but feel an indescribable emotion. He thought he already had a deep understanding of the Breeder profession, but now he realized that his training was far from enough.

“Breeders, huh…” He smiled faintly and shook his head. Next, he would be heading to Crown Academy. He is not sure when he would be able to come back to take the Intermediate Breeder’s exam.

It was time to leave.

Having obtained what he wanted, Terrance didn’t plan to stay in the “House of Breeding” any longer.

While going downstairs, he noticed Brock enthusiastically flipping through the book. Without disturbing Brock, Terrance left alone.

Meeting Brock was just a small episode. As long as Terrance continued on the path of the Breeder profession, meeting those protagonists or big shots mentioned in the original work was only a matter of time.

On the way back to the hotel, Terrance kept pondering. There is a distinction of strength among Trainers, seemingly based on the strength of the Pokémon they possess, but it’s not entirely that simple.

Apart from the strength of Pokémon, many factors in a battle depend on the Trainer themselves.

Even the strength of Pokémon cannot be separated from the training and nurturing of the Trainer. And if one wants to become a powerful Trainer, apart from the elusive opportunities and luck, Terrance thought of a word.

Accumulation.

The growth of a Trainer is a process of accumulation. From the strength of their Pokémon to the experience of the Trainer, it all relies on the long period of training.

But if one wants to find a shortcut, Terrance already has his own idea.

Knowledge!

Sufficient knowledge can allow him to surpass obstacles and challenges that others cannot even comprehend, enabling him to rapidly grow along a perfect path.

Terrance’s definition of knowledge is not merely theoretical or empty talk but rather a complex system. He cannot clearly explain what it looks like.

To put it in his own metaphor, it is like using external objects!

This inspiration comes from Mr. Generation.

Comparing knowledge to external objects, but these external objects can directly influence the Pokémon themselves and the Trainer.

In Terrance’s fragmented memories, Ash encountered a Trainer named Tristan in the original work. Tristan created training devices that helped his Pokémon adapt to various battle environments, setting aside some subjective factors. This guy named Tristan was utilizing external objects to enhance the strength of his Pokémon.

The process is quite simple, it boils down to resources. Technical Machines, nutrients, training devices, and so on are all external objects.

What Terrance wants to study is precisely these things, but it doesn’t stop there. Those items are the intellectual achievements of previous Breeders. He has the advantage that others in this world cannot attain, which is his thinking, derived from another world.

He was not bound by the common knowledge of this world, and he possessed a multitude of strange and unconventional ideas, which is “wild imagination.”

If he can fully utilize those things and subsequently strengthen Pokémon, Terrance has reason to believe that with this knowledge, he can also find a shortcut.

“Joy family has reached the pinnacle in the medical field. Master Ian has dedicated many years to researching the innate talents of Pokémon, he is a typical Breeder who believes in innate talents and is skilled at discovering Pokémon with natural talents. On the other hand, Master Yarrow focuses on researching how to make different Pokémon learn more moves easily, thereby enhancing their foundation and tactical value.”

“Master Victor delves into the origins, exploring the intrinsic potential of Pokémon from a genetic perspective. If there comes a day when Pokémon can unleash the dormant genes hidden within them for centuries or even longer, it will undoubtedly create a tremendous upheaval.”

Terrance has a vague impression, but he’s not sure. He vaguely remembers an unfamiliar term buried deep in his memories.

Mega Evolution!contemporary romance

This is a fragment of his memories from Earth, but now he has almost forgotten it.

“What about me? External objects… it sounds good, but the knowledge involved is much broader compared to the focused research of the predecessors. If I don’t have a precise enough direction…”

The road ahead is long and full of responsibilities…
