Have to say that Hermosa Manfred's word was powerful. Clarissa Swift directly skipped the step to plead with Antonio Baron. "What's wrong, grandma?" Antonio frowned and asked impatiently, but he didn't hold Clarissa nor say anything to let her stay.
Clarissa sighed and was reluctant to give in to Hermosa. In her mind, she cursed both Hermosa Manfred and Adelaide Swift again and again.
Finally, she pretended to be tender and said to Antonio, "Antonio, it's my fault. I went to see my sister, however, her mood was bad and shouted at me that my child was a bastard. I got angry to hit her, then grandma came in and refused to hear my explanation. It's all my fault, I will leave now."
She walked towards the iron gate but her slow pace betrayed her.
"Grandma, you must have misunderstood Clarissa. Doesn't the woman sow discord?" After hearing Antonio defending for Clarissa, Hermosa got speechless and angry, then she hit his back with her crutch. "What are you doing?" Antonio moved and dodged Hermosa's next hit.
"You're good-for-nothing. You married Adelaide but doesn't cherish her, and you even fool around with the bad woman. I am old but neither blind nor deaf. You get me so angry." Hermosa was really angry. After taking a few breaths, she said again, "Well, I will stay here for a few days. You dare to bully Adelaide again."
Antonio never dared to have any objections to Hermosa's decision. He nodded and walked to patiently comforted her. Till night, Hermosa still insisted staying. Pushing Antonio into Adelaide's bedroom, Hermosa warned before leaving, "Treat Adelaide well, otherwise my crutch won't let you go."
Adelaide got nervous because she hadn't slept with Antonio for a long time. But this time it's not her who asked Hermosa to come here. Antonio glanced at her coldly, hummed and then enter the bathroom. This eased the awkwardness between them. Adelaide took a long breath and began slowly adjusting her mood.
"Adelaide, where is my bathrobe?" Adelaide heard Antonio's disgruntled voice from the bathroom after sitting by the bed for a little while. As they hadn't slept together for a long time, his bathrobe had been packed by Adelaide.
"Wait a minute, I will give it to you soon." Adelaide said nervously. When Antonio stepped out of the bathroom, Adelaide stood up immediately. Afraid that Antonio would misunderstand, she explained in a low voice, "Antonio, I didn't ask grandma to come."
Antonio looked at her and went directly to bed. Adelaide thought Antonio didn't believe. She also went to bed, holding his arm tightly with her hands and explaining, "It's really not me."
Antonio turned and looked into her big innocent eyes. Her pyjama is lovely and a little faded with cartoon doll patterns on it. He smelled a tantalizing aroma from her and immediately got ignited. He got up and pressed against her. Adelaide screamed. They hadn't have sex for a long time. Besides, she was even pregnant. She was afraid that Antonio would force her to have sex. Panic could be seen on her flawless face, "Antonio, please, don't do that!"
"Not?" Antonio snickered, reached out and hooked Adelaide's chin, "Yes or no depends on you?" Then he flirted with her which surprised her. She screamed in a hurry without considering whether it's shameful , "Grandma, grandma."
Unexpectedly, Hermosa was still waiting outside the door. "Bad boy, I will embarrass you if you dare to bully Adelaide." Upon hearing Adelaide's yelling, she immediately knocked the door with her crutch and shouted loudly.
The two people in the room obviously didn't expect Hermosa would still be there. Adelaide's face instantly turned red like a cooked crab. Distracted by this episode, Antonio lost interest, turned over and went asleep alone. Not having heard more sounds except even breathing, Hermosa went back to her own bedroom with satisfaction.
Managed to sleep with Antonio, Adelaide turned over and over again and failed to go asleep. Turning over to look at Antonio, the expression on his face was so soft with his eyes closed tightly and his mouth squeezed. In such a sleepless night, Adelaide began to reminisce endlessly about the past. Once she told herself not to care about Antonio and not to love him, but now looking at this harmless face, she still can't help reminiscing about the past.
Once is a word so far away, no one could go back to the past nor reach the future. She didn't know when she started to keep an eye on Antonio. She remembered that she passed through nearly the whole campus just to peek him. She pulled Hanna Battle to run in everywhere of the campus just to run into him. Her favorite class was PE, not because she liked sports but she could overlook the playground from her classroom. When Antonio had PE classes, it's her happiest moment. As their PE teacher was the same one, their PE classes were staggered. So she could always see him when he had PE classes. She could easily found him among more than fifty people and then she couldn't move her eyes after that. She saw Antonio having long jump, doing radio gymnastics and playing basketball. However, she didn't know him liking her sister. If she knew that in the beginning, she couldn't love him anyway.
Once Hanna said, "Adelaide, just confess if you like him! Write him a love letter, give him gifts, encounter with him, aren't you afraid that he won't like you?" She did write love letters which she didn't send him and were still placed in the books. She did make confessions but she did it when encountering with him and he couldn't hear that. As for gifts, she also sent but she asked others to send and not to tell him who did.
"If I knew I can marry Antonio in the past, I should be very happy." The sudden thought made Adelaide laugh and she spontaneously wanted to touch his face, maybe because she hadn't touched it for a long time. Before thinking about it clearly, she stretched out, and at this moment Antonio woke up suddenly and grabbed her hand.
