Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 92

Chapter 92

Stella stood at the entrance with Yoel. He suddenly asked her, “Do you want to go

in?”

“Huh?” Taken aback, she turned her eyes to the lock on the metal gate. “But the gate is locked.”

“We can climb over the gate.” Yoel removed his jacket and rolled up his sleeves. “I’ll hoist you up, and you’ll climb up and over it.”

“Can I?” Stella was aching to take a look at her old house. She happened to wear flats today, and the blisters were bearable.

“Come on.” Yoel was a man of action. He crouched. “What’s important is to be fearless.”

‘I’m not afraid. I used to climb the gate all the time.” She grinned. In the past, she always sneaked out of her home and scaled the gate to get in. She was a veteran.

Stepping on his knee, she climbed over the gate, much to his surprise. Soon, he joined her.

They walked into No. 8 Tarovian Terrace, which was overgrown with greenery. She took him on the garden.

a stroll in

“This place is prettier in the day.” While walking, Stella spotted a peach tree. She halted and pointed at the tree. “Look at this tree. I used to spend my summers lounging on it.”

“Lounging on it?” Yoel was a little confused.

“Yes! I stayed on that tree.” She agilely climbed up the tree. Taking a seat on the branch, she gazed down at him. “Like this.

He was surprised by her unexpectedly cheerful and active personality.

“Mr. Perkins, want to join me up here? You can get a better view. She extended her fair and slender arm to him as an invitation. 1

As if falling into a trance, Yoel took her hand and climbed up the peach tree. The two of them enjoyed the view from the top. The flowers and shrubs in the garden were indeed gorgeous when viewed from above.

‘How I wish I could go back in time.” Letting out a sigh, she reminisced about her carefree life at her old family home.

Yoel turned around to glance at her. She swung her legs relaxingly on the tree.

her head, she smiled wanly. “He is in love with another woman, as you know.”

“Do you love him?”

The question caught her by surprise. She looked up at the leafy branches but did not offer an answer.

Stella arrived at Starlight Couture at 11:00 pm. After parking her car, she said to Yoel, “Mr. Perkins, thanks for sending my car to me. Shall I call a cab for you?”

“It’s fine. I called my secretary, and she’s on her way to pick me up.” Dressed in a navy suit, Yoel stood in the night breeze, looking reserved and gentlemanly.

Stella thought it wasn’t appropriate to leave, so she kept him company on the first floor..

She received a call from Joseph, much to her surprise. Why did he call her?

Puzzled, she stepped aside and answered, “Hello, Dr. Sanders.”

“Stella, Brian has had too much to drink. Please pick him up from Blue Moon, Joseph himself sounded a

little drunk too.

That night, a few of them had booked a private lounge at Blue Moon for a drinking session. Currently. Brian slumped on the couch, looking wasted with his eyes closed. He had invited Joseph for a few drinks that night because he was in a bad mood.

After Stella learned that Joseph was calling her to tell her about Brian’s drunkenness, she pressed her lips together before saying, ‘Dr. Sanders, I’m busy.”

“Well, tell that to Brian.” Without hesitation, Joseph handed the phone to Brian. Soon, she heard Brian speaking to her, “Hello.”

She held her breath nervously. “It’s me,” she said.

“I can tell.” Eyes closed, Brian sounded raspy after he got drunk.

“Are you drunk?”

“Yeah.” He grunted.

In the past, she would always pick him up when he was drunk. Hence, he quietly waited for her reply.

To his disappointment, she fell silent for a while, Moments later, he heard Yoel’s voice calling her name in the background. “Stella.”
