Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 46

Chapter 46

Inside the studio, Stella handed out the cake to her employees. Then, she led Yoel to the men’s clothing section, which was filled with finished designs all created by Stella herself.

Yoel examined each piece carefully. His eyes were filled with admiration. “You designed all of these yourself?”

“Yes.” Stella nodded with a smile and asked, “Are you planning to wear the suit for Jessica’s birthday party?”

“How did you know?” Yoel was taken aback.

Stella chuckled. “Jessica mentioned her birthday party is at the end of the month this afternoon.”

Yoel nodded. “Will you be unhappy to design a dress for her?”

“Not at all. She’s bringing me business, so why would I be unhappy?” Stella continued smiling. “Mr. Perkins, what do you think of this suit?”  Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FɪndNøvel.ɴᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

She pointed to a dark gray suit in the display case. “What do you think of this one?”

Yoel looked at her.

“Unfortunately, my injured hand prevents me from designing anything new right now. However, the good. news is that these finished pieces can be modified slightly.”

“Why did you pick dark gray for me?” Yoel asked her.

“I think you are a composed and introverted person, so gray suits you,” Stella replied. “Besides, Brian will definitely wear black, and if you wear black too, I’m afraid you won’t stand out enough.”

“Are you saying I’m not as good–looking as him?” Yoel stared at her with a half–smile.

Stella shook her head. “Mr. Perkins, that’s not what I meant. The two of you have different styles and looks. I think gray suits you better.”

Yoel nodded. “You seem to know him well,”

Stella smiled. “Well, I was married to him for two years, so I know a bit about his preferences.” Surprisingly, she remembered everything. After all, she was the one who picked out Brian’s clothes.

“Do you really not have any feelings for him?”

Stella threw him a laugh and said, “The one who arranged the blind date for me was my mother–in–law.

What do you think it’s for?”

Yoel was stunned for a moment. “Does she want you to divorce Brian?”

Yes. My status just isn’t worthy of Brian. And you saw Jessica, right? Everything the news reported is true.

Yoel fell silent for a few seconds. “The child in Jessica’s belly. Is it really Brian’s?”

“Yes,” Stall

had to admit.

Yoel was a bit surprised.

He didn’t expect the relationship between them to be so complicated, which left him speechless.

“So now you understand. If you are uncomfortable with my past marriage to Brian, perhaps it’s best to end things here.”

She didn’t want to deceive Yoel, and the thought of it weighed heavily on her conscience.

Yet, confessing to him actually made her feel a little lighter.

Yoel looked at her silently for a moment. Then he reached out, his hand gently stroking her hair. “You’ve been through a lot, haven’t you?”

Stella was taken aback and looked up at him.

Yoel’s eyes held a soft warmth as he looked at her. “These past two years must have been incredibly tough, with your father in prison and you struggling to make ends meet at the Foley family.”

“It wasn’t too bad. Alfred was always kind to me.“.

Which meant that everyone else wasn’t.

Yoel’s eyes filled with compassion. “I don’t mind.”

“Huh?”

“You asked me if I was uncomfortable with your past with Brian. Now, I’m telling you, I’m not.”

Stella was still trying to process his words.

In the end, Yoel bought the dark gray suit for 80 thousand dollars.

It earned the studio a profit of nearly two hundred thousand dollars.

Stella watched him leave, and her heart was strangely calm.

Yoel was indeed a very good man. But it was precisely because of his goodness and his near–perfection that she couldn’t bring herself to trust him completely just yet.
