Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 146

Chapter 146

Stella’s expression of disgust was obvious. Upon seeing that, Brian paused, and his gaze darkened,

“I want a divorce, no matter what. Sharon doesn’t like me, and Jessica is pregnant with your child. I don’t want to be with you anymore.”

She pushed against him, but Brian didn’t budge. Instead, he pressed her down harder. Stella struggled to breathe, contorting her face.

“Have you fallen for Yoel?” Brian asked.

Though he had confirmed that she had nothing to do with Bernard, he wasn’t sure about Yoel. The two of them had already exchanged gifts. Their relationship didn’t seem innocent.

In order to make him hate her, Stella forced herself to say, “Yes, I’ve fallen for him. I want to be with him.”

“You just won’t change.” Brian’s eyes turned cold.

“What about you?” Stella endured his weight on her and looked at him with a pale face.

“Jessica is pregnant. Why are you still clinging to me? Is it because she can’t have sex during early pregnancy, so you want to use me instead?”

“No.” Brian denied.  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Stella was stunned. “Then what do you want? Have you fallen for me?”

Emotions surged in his eyes. Just as Stella thought he might say yes, he remained silent.

After a few seconds of silence, Stella’s heart grew cold. She gave a bitter smile. “Since you don’t love me,

let me go. I’m leaving.”

This time, he didn’t oppose her. He released her and sat on the bed. Even when Stella fixed her clothes, he remained there, motionless, like a lonely tombstone

Looking at his back, Stella softly said, “I admit that you’ve been good to me these past two years. I did fall

in love with you.

“It was love at first sight. After marrying you, despite your disdain, I always tried to get your attention.”

Stunned by her words, he turned slightly. Then why leave?”

Because, after 700 days and nights, I never got a response from you. People have feelings. Being repeatedly hurt is painful. Since you never loved me, I decided to let you go.”

Brian’s face turned icy again. “You’ll leave if I don’t love you?”

“Of course. I’m not a doll. Don’t I dese

to be loved? You got Jessica pregnant. What do you expect

from me? To continue being a doormat without any dignity?”

Her words genuinely angered her. No matter how much she once adored him, she had her pride.

“I know divorcing you will be tough, but it brings me freedom. That’s what I want. At least I won’t be trapped in a loveless marriage. When I need love, I can find someone new to love me.

“If I stay with you, you’ll only have eyes for Jessica and her child. What about me? Why should I endure such a heart–wrenching marriage?”

Brian pursed his lips tightly. Stella continued, “So let me go. I hope you’ll come to court at the end of the month, and we’ll get the divorce certificate. Let’s part on good terms.”

Brian furrowed his brows. When he heard her say, “Let me go,” he felt a surge of frustration and pain.

“For Sharon and Jessica, let’s officially separate now. No more meetings unless absolutely necessary,” Stella said before leaving the room…

Brian remained inside, feeling something within him about to break free. Stella walked out of the villa and glanced at the night sky.

The stars were sparse, and the night was cold. Her eyes were blank as she wandered through the night.

Unbeknownst to her, Brian had chased after her once she left the villa, but she was already gone.

Brian drove to Starlight Couture. Stella was on the second floor, a small lamp casting a warm glow on her figure by the window.

Brian stood by his car, looking at her thin silhouette. He saw her wipe away tears. She was clearly upset.

Brian’s heart ached, and he wanted to go up to her.
