The day before the shoot, Lenora dialed the number registered in the system.

The call connected and Lenora said, "Hello, is this Isla Wilson? I'm Fay, the photographer assigned to your shoot from the studio."

There was a pause on the other end of the phone for a few seconds, then a woman's voice came through. "It's me. Is there something you need?" Lenora found the voice somewhat familiar as if she had heard it somewhere.

"I want to discuss your preferred style with you. What requirements do you have for the shooting background and atmosphere?"

"Mmm... I feel like it hard to explain over the phone. Let's discuss it in person tomorrow."

Taken aback, Lenora paused for a moment before saying, "That works."

On the day of the shoot, Lenora arrived at the makeup room. She saw a woman applying makeup in front of the mirror and felt a sense of familiarity.

She carefully reflected and quickly recognized that the customer before her was the same person she had a conflict with on the flight to Archulea. Then, she had another conflict with the same person over a wristwatch in a shopping mall at Sloummont.

Lenora thought. No wonder her voice sounded familiar yesterday. So, was it because Isla knew my identity. had chosen me to be the photographer?

she

Lenora acted as if she didn't recognize Isla, treating the latter as a brand-new customer. She said, "Ms. Isla, right? I'm Fay, your photographer. I'd like to know what style you prefer and what kind of background you'd like. If you have any reference images, you can show me and I'll have my assistant set it up."

Isla glanced at Lenora through the mirror. "It's hard to explain now. Let's wait until after I finish my makeup, then we can discuss it on-site."

"But setting up the scene after finishing with the makeup would cause a delay."

"That's your problem, not mine," Isla uttered nonchalantly.

Great. During their first interaction, Lenora detected a hint of malice from Isla.

She had a hunch that Isla wasn't there for photographs, but rather, she was there to pick a fight with her.

Isla had the features of a Clusian and spoke Clusian, but her name was entirely Uprian. This suggested that she was either of Clusian descent born there or of mixed heritage. Her past behavior in Archulea revealed that she came from a wealthy background and had a significant local network. This allowed Isla to discover Lenora had joined a particular photography studio. Thus, Isla deliberately wanted Lenora to be her photographer to torment her. Lenora figured she wouldn't be getting a positive review this time.

What happened next validated Lenora's thoughts.

By the time it was past ten, Isla had finally finished her makeup and arrived at the filming location.

She was accompanied by a maid, who was assisting her by carrying her clothes and handbag.

Isla gave a meaningful look, and the maid took out her phone and searched for a picture to show Lenora.

"This is the backdrop I require. Hurry and set it up. We only have two days to shoot and I won't be doing any retakes." A hint of a smile played on Isla's lips as she glanced meaningfully at Lenora. "If we don't finish shooting, I'll have no choice but to cancel the order." After the client had paid the deposit, they would meet with the studio to sign the contract.

The contract stipulated that if the studio was unable to successfully fulfill the agreement due to its reasons, or if the client was dissatisfied with the photos and couldn't select any, the client had the right to request the termination of the contract. In such cases, the studio was required to refund all fees.

However, most of the clients came with genuine intentions for the photo shoot, and the studio would do its best to meet their demands. It was rare for clients to choose to terminate the contract. If such a situation occurred under the photographer's watch, it would impact the comprehensive review compiled every three months.

"I'll do my best to speed things up, but I believe that if you're truly committed to collaborating with our studio, you'll definitely cooperate with us, Ms. Isla," Lenora said.

Isla chuckled lightly. "Of course, I'm genuinely interested in collaborating with you all. However, I have a hot temper. I hope you can bear with me."

"Since we're genuinely collaborating, I'll be straightforward. The background in this photo doesn't match your outfit. It's overly complex, to the point of being disorganized. It affects the focus of the image, making the scene appear crowded." "But I simply adore such a background."

Lenora was rendered speechless.

Looking at Isla's cheery countenance, Lenora knew she wouldn't change her mind easily. "All right. I understand."

Subsequently, Lenora instructed her assistant to set up the scene.

"Setting up the scene will take some time, so let's shoot other backgrounds first," Lenora suggested. "This would be the most efficient use of our time. I'm sure you would agree for the sake of a smooth shoot."

With a sneer, Isla reluctantly agreed.

The second confrontation barely passed, but issues arose again during the filming.

Unsure if it was intentional, but Isla always seemed to miss the mark a bit on the poses that Lenora guided her into. Consequently, the resulting photos didn't quite meet expectations.

In order for Lenora to guide Isla effectively, she had to give reminders time and again, consuming quite a bit of time.

By the end of the morning, there weren't many photos taken that could satisfy Lenora.

While taking a break, Lenora pulled up the photos they had just taken, allowing Ilya to take a look.

Isla glanced at them. "How did you shoot this? It's hideous. You need to reshoot everything"

"We can do a reshoot, but that would mean the entire horning has gone to waste. In that case, you might have to work a bit extra this evening. Since you're so passionate about visual effects, I assume you wouldn't mind spending a bit more time on it." "It was clearly due to your lack of skill that I ended up looking this terrible in the photos. How could you have the audacity to ask me to work overtime?"

"The issue at hand is that we only have a day and a half left. Given our current pace, there's no way we can finish the shoot. Moreover, you don't want to do any retakes. Doesn't that mean we'll have to work overtime? Or is it that you're just waiting for us to fail so that you can cancel the shoot the day after tomorrow, Ms. Isla? If that's the case, we might as well stop now and cancel the order."

This way, Lenora could also spare herself from wasting time.

Isla hesitated for a moment before replying, "Fine. I'll work overtime, then."

She was indeed contemplating toying with Lenora for a couple of days before canceling the order.

Lenora glanced at her expression, then said with a faint smile, "Let's have lunch first. We can continue shooting in the afternoon."

In the afternoon, once the backdrop was set up, Isla had her photo shoot there.

As always, she took her time striking a pose.

Lenora knew, given the current pace, they were probably going to pull an all-nighter. So, she decided to adopt a more precise snapshot approach. As a result, she managed to capture a few good photos, although the backgrounds needed some tweaking. After wrapping up a phase of the shoot, Isla made her way over to Lenora to review the photos.

Lenora carefully enlarged each photo, showing them to her one by one.

Isla glared at Lenora, biting her lip in resentment. She does have some skills. This pauper actually managed to make me look quite attractive in the pictures.

However, she hadn't forgotten the real reason she was there, and that was to avenge the humiliation she had suffered in Archulea.

She scoffed. "This one, this one, and this one, none of these photos are good. Take them again."

Essentially, the time spent just now was wasted.

"What are you up to?" Isla asked, noticing Lenora putting the camera back into the bag.

Lenora picked up her bag and said, "Ms. Isla, you must've specifically chosen me as your photographer because you liked my shooting style and trusted my technical skills. However, I've let you down. If we continue like this, it'll only be a waste of time. So, I think it's best if I ask the manager to find you a new photographer."

Isla had made up her mind to give her a hard time, so Lenora figured dragging that matter any longer would just be a waste of time.

"Your" Watching Lenora's retreating figure, Isla angrily stomped her foot

She wouldn't just give up that easily.
