Chapter 627
After a while, a scream came from the bathroom. It sounded like the cry of a pig being slaughtered.
Hearing the commotion, Hudson immediately ran to the bathroom door and asked, "Koven, are you okay? What happened? Do you need me to open the door?" Inside the bathroom, Koven was sitting on the floor and taking deep breaths to ease the pain from the fall.
"Buddy, couldn't you have made the floor non-slip? I almost shattered my bones from this fall, you know? Oh, my back," Koven complained in an angry tone.
As much as Hudson wanted to laugh, hearing that Koven had fallen, he held back and said, "It's your own feet that aren't non-slip, and you're blaming the floor? Koven, maybe you should wear anti-slip socks everywhere you go so that you don't slip." Koven nearly burst out of the bathroom to hit Hudson, but he realized that his clothes were outside and he had no new ones.
Wait a minute, where was his new set of clothes?!
"Hudson, where are my clean clothes?" Koven asked, genuinely puzzled.
"Oh, the clothes! I forgot about that. I'll have my assistant bring them over right away," replied Hudson quickly. If Koven had not mentioned it, he would have completely forgotten.
"How long will it take for the clothes to arrive? I'm practically scrubbing my skin off in here," Koven exclaimed.
Hudson did not respond and turned to the desk phone instead.
"Hello? Hello? Hudson, where did you go?" After not getting an answer, Koven gave up and sat on the edge of the bathtub.
Hudson ended the call and went back to reviewing documents at his desk, completely forgetting about Koven waiting in the bathroom.
About 30 minutes later, the assistant arrived with two brand-new suits and knocked on Hudson's office door.
"Mr. Xender, I've brought the clothes."
"Hang one set on the bathroom door and leave the other here," said Hudson, still focused on his documents. "Yes, sir."
The assistant placed the clothes as instructed before leaving.
"Koven, the clothes are hanging on the bathroom door. You can get them yourself," Hudson shouted toward the bathroom door. Hearing that the clothes had arrived, Koven quickly wrapped himself in a bathrobe and opened the door to grab the suit. After getting dressed neatly, he stepped out of the bathroom looking presentable.

"Go take a shower. I could smell you the moment I stepped out, and it's killing me," said Koven, holding his nose while looking at Hudson with a face full of disdain.
Ignoring him, Hudson took off his dirty clothes, grabbed the new ones, and went into the bathroom.
Koven waited outside for a while with no sign of Hudson coming out, so he decided to go look for Lucy. He walked to her office and saw her busy at her desk. He knocked on the door.
"Lucy, how's the preparation for the fashion show going? You don't have much time left," Koven said gently. He felt confident after changing into fresh clothes. Lucy was so engrossed in her work that she jumped when she heard his sudden voice.
When she turned and saw Koven, she smiled. "ve been thinking about what to add to the design in the past few days, but I'm completely out of ideas. I'm still searching for
