Chapter 959 A Ruby Necklace
'Since Sofia is so happy, I'd better not tell her the truth.
'Just let Julien get Sofia's appreciation,' Sydney thought.
"Well, Ms. Raines, you are so beautiful. Your beauty cannot be only appreciated by the two of us. The one who should appreciate your beauty is still waiting for you outside. Let's go. Let Mr. Flint take a look at you." Then Sophia excitedly pulled Sydney to trot toward Julien.
Julien was originally playing with his phone. When he heard the sound of trotting, he turned off his phone and looked up.
The moment he saw Sydney, he felt that time stood still. All sounds became inaudible, and everything else became blurred. Only Sydney in the red dress was clear.
He could only see Sydney, and everything else was invisible to him.
All he could see was Sydney.
With her long hair down, Sydney was trotting toward him in silvery crystal high heels with a smile.
At this moment, Julien suddenly understood what the most beautiful scene in the world was.
The most beautiful scene was not breathtaking scenery, nor amazing creation by men, but the scene in which the person who one loved the most ran toward him with a smile. Julien put his phone away, stood up, and strode toward Sydney. He opened his arms and embraced her tight.
Sydney became startled.
She initially wanted to stop in front of Julien and ask him how he liked her dress.
But he didn't give her the chance to ask because before she stopped, he had embraced her.
Even Sophia didn't expect it. She blinked and gawked at them.
The assistant stared at Julien and Sydney with an excited smile, but she felt slightly regretted at the same time.
If she had had the courage, she would have taken out her phone to take a photo of them and post it on Facebook.
She admired Julien and Sydney's love a lot. When they were displaying their love in front of her, she couldn't wait to take a photo of them and share it with her friends. But she was disallowed. Who could understand her mixed feelings?
After being hugged by Julien for a while, Sydney gently pushed him away and looked up at him. When she was about to ask him why he embraced her all of a sudden, he uttered, "You look gorgeous!" At it, Sydney flushed, and her heart beat faster.
Though Sophia and the assistant had praised her for looking glamorous before, she only blushed. But her heart didn't pound.
However, when she heard Julien's compliment, her heart began pounding.
Was it the difference between being complimented by acquaintances and being complimented by one's boyfriend?
Compared with being praised by acquaintances, being praised by one's boyfriend was more exciting.
"Is that so?" Sydney spread her arms slightly and looked at Julien.
He nodded. Then he took her wrist and walked in one direction.
"Where are we going?" Though Sydney asked with confusion, she followed him.
Julien didn't answer her. But later, he stopped in front of a mirror.
It was a full-length mirror in which people could see themselves from head to toe.
Sydney looked at herself and him in the mirror. The next second, she turned her head in doubt. "Why did you take me here?"
Julien reached out to take her chin and turned her head back so that she could face the mirror. "Look, how beautiful you are in the mirror!" Sydney twitched her mouth slightly. "Did you take me here just to let me look at myself in the mirror?"
"Yes." Julien raised his chin and then nodded. "Yes. I just want you to see that you are particularly beautiful, and the dress really suits you." While he was speaking, his lips were close to her ear.
His hot breath blew onto her ear, making it itchy. And she couldn't help shrinking her neck.
"What's wrong with you?" Julien lowered his eyes, stared at her reddish ear tip, and asked knowingly, as if he hadn't known the reason. Sydney rubbed her ear tip and replied in a soft voice, "Nothing."
As she didn't point out the reason, Julien felt delighted because he could let his lips cling to her ear tip.
"Look. Don't you think you're very beautiful?" His hand was still holding her chin.
Gazing at herself in the mirror, Sydney realized that she didn't have a suitable hairstyle and wear suitable make-up. However, the dress was so exquisite that even without the hairstyle and make-up, she still looked gorgeous. Indeed, the tailor makes the man.
But the most important thing was that Sydney was a real beauty with defined facial features, and red perfectly set her off.
It was no wonder that she appeared amazingly gorgeous in the red dress.
"Yes. I'm really beautiful." Staring in the mirror, Sydney caressed her face and replied with a nod.
Although she felt slightly shy to praise herself, it was the truth. And she was not talking nonsense.
"But you lack something." Julien loosened his hold on her chin, moved his fingers down, and gently stroked her neck.
As he fondled her neck, it got itchy. She shot a glare at him in the mirror, signaling him not to toy with her neck. Julien let out a chuckle and stopped caressing her neck.
Only then did Sydney withdraw her gaze in satisfaction and say, "Do I lack the suitable make-up and hairstyle?" "No." Julien shook his head. "They are secondary."
"Huh? What's the thing I lack?" She looked curiously at Julien in the mirror, who was dazzlingly handsome.
He made no reply but just gave a mysterious smile. Then he took his hand off her, reached into his pocket, and looked for something with his head lowered.
Sydney turned around and stared at his pocket with curiosity. "What are you looking for?"
He still didn't answer her, but he pulled out his hand.
However, his hand was in a fist, and she couldn't see what was inside.
All in all, he was mysterious.
"Turn around," Julien finally uttered, but he didn't answer Sydney's question.
Sydney rolled her eyes at him.
The next second, she turned back. She was eager to know what on earth he wanted to do.
Sydney looked in the mirror.
Julien stretched out his fist in front of her from behind and unrolled it.
At this second, something glowing red and silver jumped into her eyes.
It was a necklace.
It was an extraordinarily luxurious ruby necklace.
The necklace was shaking slightly before Sydney now. The red light reflected by the ruby blended with the silver light reflected by the platinum chain, which looked amazing. Sydney's eyes widened in astonishment. Staring at Julien in the mirror who wore a smile, she moved her lips and uttered after a while, "You..."
"Don't move," Julien said in a low voice.
Sydney subconsciously stopped moving and fell silent.
Then Julien stretched out the other hand from behind, unlocked the necklace, and put it around her neck.
Sydney was in a daze during the whole process. When she came to a realization, Julien had locked the necklace.
She raised her hand to stroke the ruby on her collarbone. "You..."
"Don't move. You look radiant when wearing it. The necklace really suits you." He was worried that she would take off the necklace, so he quickly took her hand away from the necklace. Feeling his nervousness, she became confused at first and then burst out laughing. "What are you doing? I don't plan to take it off. I'm just curious when you prepared the necklace."
