My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit

Chapter 1137 Goodbye Kiss in the Morning

Zach noticed Sydney's tenderness toward Julien, and he felt happy for his boss.

'Ms. Raines cares about Mr. Flint. She really loves him.

'Or else, she wouldn't have asked about it.'

"Yeah. When I told Mr. Flint about this, his reaction really scared me. If he hadn't stayed rational, I would have had reason to believe that he was going to kill Dallin." Zach sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

Sydney squeezed her hand. "If Dallin dares to threaten Julien like this, there must be someone backing him up. I wonder who it is."

"No matter who it is, I believe no one can save Dallin in the end." Zach narrowed his eyes.

Sydney smiled. "Justice will always prevail. However, we couldn't just let this matter go. Did Julien mention what he was going to do? What is the relic Dallin mentioned?"

Zach blankly shook his head. "Mr. Flint didn't say anything, but I know he must be holding something back. There is no way he will let it go. As for the relic, I don't know what it is. Dallin didn't reveal it to me. But since he used it to threaten Mr. Flint, I think it should be something personal. If it's something valuable, Mr. Flint may not really care, given the wealth owned by the Flint family. But if it's a personal belonging, it can be used against Mr. Flint."

Sydney nodded thoughtfully. "You're right. If it is a personal artifact, we have to get it back. Or else, if people with ill intentions get it, they may use it to slander Julien and his family."

"Exactly! I just don't know what Mr. Flint is thinking." Zach scratched his head, "And I don't dare ask."

"I understand. Don't worry. Leave it to me." Sydney smiled.

Zach was overjoyed. "That would be great. Thank you."

"It's alright." Sydney nodded.

Just then, a figure appeared in front of the car.

It was Julien returning.

Sydney's eyes flickered, and she hurriedly reminded Zach. "Let's stop here. Julien is back."

Zach quickly turned his head and saw Julien coming up. He flashed a grateful smile at Sydney before getting out of the car to greet his boss. Soon, Julien got into the car.

Sydney saw the USB flash drive he held in his hand and asked with a smile, "Did you get it?"

"Yeah," Julien casually replied.

"Alright, let's go." Sydney looked at her wristwatch.

Julien nodded and instructed Zach, "Start the car."

Zach complied.

An hour later, they arrived at Skylight Corporation.

Sydney planted a kiss on Julien's cheek, got out of the car, and headed to the office building.

In the backseat of the car, Julien touched his cheek.

He was dazed because Sydney had never initiated a goodbye kiss before. It had always been him who asked for one.

This time, she kissed him on her own initiative, and he was surprised.

Zach, who witnessed everything, understood Julien's astonishment. He snickered, saying, "Congratulations, Mr. Flint, on receiving a kiss early in the morning." Julien put his hand down and chested out. The pride on his face was undisguised. "It's just a kiss. What's there to congratulate?"

Zach rolled his eyes in response.

'Come on! Why are you smiling then? Put away that smug look.'

Of course, he didn't dare to voice it. He chuckled and turned away from the smirking man.

Their display of affection was mushy.

Outside the car, Sydney suddenly remembered something before stopping in her tracks and coming back.

Noticing her return, Julien immediately instructed Zach, who was ready to start the car.

Zack complied and followed Julien to look out the window.

Sydney intended to knock on the window glass, but Julien rolled it down first.

His handsome face exposed to the air, he looked up and flashed a gentle smile. "Left anything behind?"

His tone was brisk, as he was still happy about the kiss.

Sydney cleared her throat. "No. I just want to tell you something."

"Go ahead." Julien lifted his chin.

Sydney glanced at Zach, who was visibly nervous.

She quickly looked away and smiled. "I'm in a hurry to attend a meeting, so let's talk about it in the evening."

Zach heaved a sigh of relief.

He naturally knew Sydney was going to discuss what they had talked about in the car just now.

She had promised to take care of it.

Zach was afraid that she would talk about it now. If she did that, Mr. Flint would find out that it was he who revealed it. Then he would be in trouble.

If they talked about it in the evening, however, he would not be there. Even if Mr. Flint was annoyed, he couldn't punish Zach immediately, and maybe Ms. Raines would stop him from doing that.

Julien didn't know what his assistant was thinking. All his attention was focused on Sydney.

He raised an eyebrow, but the look in his eyes gave away something. "Is it something important?"

Sydney nodded without hesitation. "Yes."

"Alright, I'll come pick you up this afternoon." Julien agreed.

Sydney waved at him. "Bye."

Julien bid her farewell and rolled up the window.

Standing on the side of the road, Sydney kept waving until the car disappeared into the distance. Then she headed toward the office building.

Some employees had witnessed everything, admiring them for their deep bond.

Sydney saw their reaction and shook her head with a smile. While responding to their greetings, she walked into the elevator.

As soon as she entered her office, someone knocked on the door.

Thinking it was Sean, Sydney put down her bag, hung her coat, and said without looking up, "Come in."

But the clicks from high heels made her pause and look over.

It was another secretary who had come in. Sydney asked curiously, "Didn't Sean come to work?"

"Don't you know, ma'am? Sean is on leave." The secretary stopped in front of Sydney's desk and respectfully continued, "Sean took leave yesterday afternoon, and I will take over her duties until she returns." Sydney tapped her forehead. "Oh, right. I forgot."
