My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit

Chapter 1114 Continue After Dinner

Julien was such a proud man that he would never compromise for anything and anyone.

But ever since he got back together with Sydney, he had changed a lot.

He would consider her first before doing anything. If it might cause her trouble, he would restrain himself, even if it felt very terrible.

That was why Sydney said sorry to him.

Listening to Sydney's words, Julien gently flicked her forehead. "What are you talking about? I'm happy to do this for you."

"Happy?" Sydney touched her forehead, very confused about Julien's reply.

Julien smiled, "Of course. I will only change when the person I care about the most is by my side, and I will look out for you no matter what I do. After all, I'm not alone anymore, right?" Sydney laughed, "Sounds far-fetched."

"But it's from my heart," Julien said, looking at her.

Sydney wrapped her arms around his. "Julien, thank you."

"No need. I'm your man, so just take it for granted. You don't need to thank me." Julien shifted her hand to his other hand and put an arm around her shoulders.

The weather was getting colder and colder. Being hugged by Julien like this, Sydney felt warm.

Sydney tilted her head slightly and leaned against Julien's shoulder. "Anyway, you've done so much for me. Of course, I have to say thank you. You can't stop me."

As she spoke, she looked up at Julien warningly.

She hinted that if Julien retorted, she would fix him.

Julien chuckled resignedly, "Okay, okay. I won't stop you then."

"That's more like it."

The two walked forward closely together, and the passers-by could feel their happiness from afar.

Looking at the loving couple, they could not help but smile.

Nowadays, people in this world were fickle-minded.

It was rare to see such an affectionate pair.

Therefore, the passers-by sincerely looked forward to them being happy together like this forever.

As soon as Julien entered the apartment, he took a stack of business cards out of his suit pocket and threw them on top of the shoe cabinet in disgust. Sydney was bending down to change her shoes. After that, she happened to see Julien's movements. She smiled and asked, "Do you not want them?"

Julien changed into his slippers, swept a glance at the business cards, and said evenly, "They're all garbage."

Sydney checked the business cards. "There might be some potential companies among them. How can you be sure that they are all garbage?"

"When I received the business cards, I took a look at them. The owners of these small companies all introduced their business on the cards, so I saw at a glance what these companies do and whether they have any potential or not," Julien said with his hands in his pants pockets.

Sydney nodded. "I see. When you go out tomorrow morning, throw them away."

"Uh-huh." Julien nodded.

The two didn't linger in the foyer much longer and quickly headed toward the living room.

After having a glass of water, Julien went to take a shower.

Sydney sat on the sofa in the living room, turned the TV on, and waited for the goods from the supermarket.

The supermarket's service was quite fast. Sydney had only watched TV for a few minutes when the doorbell rang.

She put down the remote control, got up, and walked to the foyer to open the door. Two supermarket workers stood at the door with several bags of things, smiling at her. "Ms. Raines, everything you and Mr. Flint just bought at the supermarket is here, as well as the dinner that Mr. Flint asked us to buy for you when he checked out."

The two staff members wrung the large bags in their hands.

"Okay, thank you. Please take them in." Sydney hurriedly opened the door fully and stepped aside to make way for them.

The two staff members got Sydney's permission and went straight in with their shoes on, carrying in the things she and Julien had bought.

After placing the bags in the living room, one of the staff members rummaged through a bag, took out an exquisite small paper bag, and handed it over to Sydney with both hands. "Ms. Raines, this is dinner for you and Mr. Flint."

Sydney took it. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. We're leaving then, Ms. Raines."

"Take care."

Sydney placed the dinner on the table and saw the two staff members out the door. After they got in the elevator, she closed the door and re-entered the apartment.

Back in the living room, Sydney looked at the dinner on the table, shook her head, and smiled.

Originally, she had offered to go to the supermarket to buy ingredients to cook at home because there were no ingredients left in the apartment.

But due to the long delay at the supermarket, when they checked out, it was already past eight o'clock.

If they cooked at home, it would take a long time, and it would be almost midnight by the time they finished eating.

It would be too late.

So Julien asked the supermarket staff to help him buy food and deliver it along with the goods when he paid the bill.

If someone else made such a request, they would probably be rejected by the supermarket staff.

But after Julien said so, the supermarket agreed flatteringly and readily.

Thinking of the situation at that time, Sydney was a little bit amused. She then opened the paper bag and took the dinner out.

Just after that, the bedroom door opened. Julien was wearing a robe, wiping his wet hair. He came out and then stopped as he saw the few bags on the floor and dinner on the table. He put the towel on his shoulders and hugged Sydney from behind. He rubbed his chin against her shoulder while saying in a low and pleasant voice, "When did they arrive?"

Sydney's earlobes were tickled by the hot air he exhaled when he spoke. She shrank her neck and replied, "Just a while ago. Let go of me. It itches."

'This guy is really good at taking advantage of me.

'Just after taking a bath, he became so horny.'

Julien pretended that he had not heard Sydney's words. He did not let go of her and instead bit her red earlobe gently and teasingly.

Sydney rolled her eyes, lowered her head, and removed Julien's hands from around her waist. She then turned around and glared up at Julien. "Julien, that's enough! We haven't even eaten dinner yet, and you've begun to mess around. Are you not hungry?"

"Yes." Julien nodded his head.

Sydney's mouth twitched. "Then hurry up and eat. No matter what you want to do, have dinner first."

Julien's eyes brightened noticeably when he heard this.

He tilted his head slightly forward and put his forehead against Sydney's, his voice husky and sexual. "Baby, you mean I can continue after dinner, right?" Sydney was filled with confusion. "When did I say that?"

"You just said it." Julien curved his lips. "You said, 'No matter what you want to do, have dinner first.' You mean I can continue after dinner by that, don't you?" Sydney's mouth twitched even more violently. She wanted to say no.

But she couldn't say it.

If anyone else had heard what she had just said, they would think the same way as Julien.

This made her speechless.
