"Madeline, Lucas said as he sat down next to her and gave her sleeve a gentle tug. "Come with me for a bit."

Madeline glanced at Lucas from the corner of her eye and followed him out.

"Hanging out with people like that is just asking for trouble," Lucas insisted. He especially wanted to mention the two women, who clearly didn't seem trustworthy at all.

Madeline chuckled, "Do you really think I'm blind? There's not a single decent person among them. But since Rose and Chloe went to so much trouble to set this up for me, why would I run?"

A teasing glint flickered in Madeline's eyes, "Why not just go with the flow?"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Lucas scratched his head, "Are you planning to..."

"Just watch," Madeline said as she turned back to the lounge. Her attitude improved a lot as she sat down and chatted with

everyone.

Farrell had a fondness for newcomers in the entertainment industry. Snowy was a naive beauty, untouched by the worldly ways, with innocence, vitality, and a bit of stubborn foolishness-thinking she could reach the top through her own efforts. He took pleasure in having these types of girls under his control. Although they usually had strong mental fortitude, after going through his games repeatedly, they would eventually lose hope, and their eyes would become empty with numbness.
