Chapter 46
Cole did not get to finish his sentence as Bradley hung up the phone with a bang. Less than five minutes later, he appeared
outside the operating room with killing intent.
His handsome face was dark, like he was brewing a storm.
“Is she dead already?”
When Jasper heard Bradley’s cold and heartless words, he raised his slightly red eyes and sneered coldly. “Bradley, did you
come here in such a hurry because you were worried that Esther would die? Or because you were afraid that something would
happen to her?”
“Jasper.” Bradley gritted his teeth.
Cole was worried that Bradley and Jasper would fight again outside the operating room, so he stood between the two and
respectfully said, “Mr. Warner, Mr. Searle, should we arrange for a consultation with a specialist for Madam?”
As soon as Cole finished speaking, Bradley’s thin lips parted slightly for a cold question. “Is this how you do things?”
Cole was rendered speechless. Did he do something wrong?
Five seconds later, a realization struck him, prompting him to swiftly turn around and attend to the necessary preparations for the
expert consultation.
Bradley and Jasper also calmed down because of Cole’s words. They stared at each other without backing down. In the end,
they sat silently on the bench outside the operating room. Although they were outside of an operating room, they sat with
dominance as if they were at an international financial forum.
After a while, Jasper’s secretary walked up to him respectfully with a letter in her hand.
“Mr. Searle, this is a will Ms. Quill left in the room.”
Bradley and Jasper reached for the will at the same time, and neither of them was willing to let
1.
“Mr. Warner, look carefully. It says ‘To Jasper’ on it. Do you understand?”
Bradley awkwardly withdrew his hand.
Jasper took the envelope and took out the will. He recognized the handwriting on the letter at a glance, which Esther herself
wrote.
After he was done reading the letter word by word, he suddenly punched the wall fiercely. He had
been careless.
Esther’s emotions had been too calm since they returned from the cemetery. Jasper had assumed that
she had accepted Tinkerbell’s death, but he never thought that all of this was because she had lost hope in this world.
After calming himself down, Jasper choked up and said, “Bradley, you wanted to see her will, right? Look at it! You better read it
word by word. If Esther can’t be saved today, you’re the one who killed her...”
A drop of tear fell from Jasper’s eyes as he was overwhelmed with grief. He roared like a lion, ” Bradley, you killed the woman
who gave birth to your child with your own hands!”
Esther’s suicide note was just a thin sheet of paper, but it felt as heavy as a thousand pounds in Bradley’s hands.
Though the will did not mention Bradley’s name, it referred to him in every sentence.
Every word was sincere and heartfelt, and every sentence was a mix of love and hatred.
It felt as though someone had punched Bradley’s chest with all their might, and a piercing pain spread throughout his body from
his heart.
