out?”
“That’s impossible,” Bradley said and strode into the elevator.
As the elevator doors slowly closed, Bradley caught his reflection on the elevator wall out of the corner of his eye. There were
speckles of red on his back. He looked down at his hand and saw the clear bite mark on his purlicue.
Esther hated him to the core. She was like him.
They were supposed to be happy childhood sweethearts, but somehow, they had become the ones who hated each other the
most in this world.
Bradley had no idea that someone wearing a mask and a white robe switched out a tube of blood on the machine just five
minutes after all of them left. The staff in the lab did not notice this person who appeared and disappeared out of the blue either.
Bradley got out of the elevator and unbuttoned his shirt slowly. He took it off as he entered the hospital ward and tossed it into
the laundry basket before putting on a black silk shirt from the closet.
While he buttoned it up, Liliane came in with a thermos. She saw the shirt in the laundry basket right away.
“Brad, you got hurt?” she asked.
Bradley glanced at her flatly and asked, “What’s this?”
“Soup my mom made.” Liliane placed the thermos on the table and rambled in explanation, “My mom heard from others that one
has to replenish nutrients post-surgery, so she and my father drove to the mountains to buy some pure grain-fed chickens from
farmers for Felix. They even kept the chickens in our villa, and the neighbor next door complained to the property management
because of the smell.
“You know that my mom’s always been a fussy one, but for her grandson Felix, she-
Bradley interrupted Liliane, speaking overbearingly. “Arrange for your parents to meet with me so we can discuss the wedding
date.”
Liliane was overjoyed and asked, “Really? Brad, are you really going to marry me?”
When Bradley said those words, a vague sense of regret spread in his heart.
“You’ve done a lot these years.” Bradley thought about Liliane’s patience and wholehearted effort for Felix and said slowly, “After
Felix recovers from the surgery, he’ll have to go to preschool after some rest. It’ll be difficult to fill out the enrollment form if we
don’t get married.”
Things were pure in the children’s world. He did not want Felix to be called a b*stard child when he
went to school.
“Brad, I’m so happy!” Liliane was overjoyed.
It was great. She finally got what she wanted.
“I’ll contact my parents and ask them when they’re free.”
Bradley cleared his throat and said coldly, “Wait until Felix’s condition is stable before we arrange anything.”
Liliane’s pretty face was still full of joy, but there was a douse of disappointment again. ‘Felix again?’
“Mm, I’ll listen to you,” Liliane agreed meekly.
Bradley walked to the door of the ward and turned around to look at Liliane. “The wedding dress needs to be customized in
advance. If you have a designer you like, you can tell Cole. He’ll be responsible for contacting them.”
Liliane smiled sweetly and asked softly, “Brad, can we design your suit together?”
“Up to you,” replied Bradley.
He had been married once before, so he did not have much anticipation for the wedding. If it were not for Felix, there would be
no need for this wedding
Liliane smiled and said, “Then I’ll contact the wedding planning company to come up with a proposal.
Without waiting for Bradley to leave, Liliane took out her phone and asked in her chat groups. [Do you have any reliable wedding

When Cole considered Esther’s certainty, he could not help asking softly, “Mr. Warner, what if Tinkerbell’s really your daughter
when the paternity test result is out?”
