Chapter 2364
Selina then said, "That's good. Yesseca, he doesn't care about you at all. If he did, he wouldn't have brought his new wife to the festival. So don't waste your tears on him!"
Yesseca took in a deep breath. "Oh Selina, that's not it at all. You're just overthinking things. I've already broken up with him, I'm not upset at all."
As she said this, she then paused for a moment before continuing, "He brought his wife here to attend the lantern festival. Seeing him today is no different than seeing a complete stranger."
She then took out the picture of Lothar and said, "Before my brother Lothar passed, he told me to be strong in life. I'm not going to let him down."
Selina calmed down after she heard Yesseca say that.
She knew how deeply Yesseca cared for Lothar, she was definitely going to take his advice to heart and see it through.
After chatting for a little while more, Selina bade Yesseca goodnight.
It was already getting late and Yesseca needed to
get some sleep.
Before she left, Selina advised them to be careful and to take good care of themselves.
Preslie nodded her head at her in agreement.
There was a tinge of jealousy and pain in Preslie's eyes as she watched Selina and Matthew leave.
Selina wasn't Yesseca's real sister, but she was still so concerned and cared about Yesseca.
As for her...
People often said that blood was thicker than water, but it the people closest to her that had hurt her the most.
A short while later, Preslie went into Yesseca's room.
Preslie had a feeling that Yesseca was probably very tired by now, so she kept what she wanted to say as brief as possible.
"Yesseca, you probably feel terrible right now from dealing with such an emotional shock, you probably feel extremely unlucky too. But the truth is, you're very lucky, because you have so many of us who love you and care about you. Whenever you get sad, we feel it too. So for all of us, please take good care of yourself."
Yesseca hugged Preslie.
Her eyes were covered in a thin layer of tears. "What's the matter with all of you? All that's happened is that Tremaine came to town with his wife for the lantern festival."
"I'm telling you, I'm fine. Really."
Preslie carefully observed Yesseca several times. When she was sure that Yesseca didn't look as pale or
weabas she did during thival,
she calmed down.
The lantern festival in Agaphen City eventually ended.
Tremaine and Rorita returned to Nashaland.
Tremaine straightened his back on their way home and didn't say anything.
Rorita turned to Tremaine and wanted to say something, but then decided not to.
She thought back on what had happened during the parade.
Tremaine was standing on the parade float.
The masked girl was standing in the crowd.
They were looking at each other from so far away.
Rorita had seen a similar scene in a movie.
Lovers who had been separated because of some complication or misunderstanding would then meet by chance on a busy street. The
eyes would lock onto each other a the world slowly fades awaydeaving just the two of them.
Rorita believed that this could only happen in movies.
She didn't expect to see it happen in real life.
And the protagonist of this story was her 'husband'.
Rorita's eyes filled with bitterness.
Poet
Even though she had agreed to marry Tremaine with certain term and conditions, she still loved him.
Of course she would be upset at this.
But she knew that Tremaine was feeling much worse than she did right now.
There was nothing sadder than not being able to be in love.
And the two of them had been in love once before!
Otherwise, there was no way that Tremaine would have gone against all of Nashland just to marry her!
