The car drove back to Nashaland.

Sheldon asked Montez what he had talked to Yesseca about.

He was mostly concerned that Yesseca might have said some terrible things about Tremaine to Montez.

Montez was still a young boy after all. He was still too young to read in between the lines about certain things. It wouldn't be good if he got influenced by the wrong ideas. "Yesseca told me that my dad loves me very much." Montez replied.

Sheldon was quiet.

He sounded just like the president.

Sheldon had very mixed feelings about this.

He didn't expect a heartless woman like Yesseca to have said something like that.

"The president really does love you." Sheldon added, "No doubts about it."

"Yesseca said the same thing." Montez then looked downwards and stared at his fingers. "She said that she will never be with my dad ever again."

"That's a good thing Montez." Sheldon comforted Montez. "Didn't you always said you hoped that they would never be together?"

Montez looked at Sheldon and said, "Mr. Hawls, I didn't want Yesseca to be with my dad because Yesseca is so cute and kind, whereas my dad is a big monster."

"Besides, dad is so old. Yesseca would be better off with me."

Sheldon's mouth kept twitching when he heard him say "Dad is so old."

The president was old?

Only Montez could say such a thing!

The president was obviously in his prime!

Montez continued, "But now that Yesseca doesn't want to be with my dad, he looks so miserable every day."

Sheldon sighed.

Although the young master often disagreed with the president, it was obvious that he still loved him very much.

"But then, Yesseca said that she would never ever get back together with my dad. Does that mean my dad will be miserable for the rest of his life?" Montez lookedly helplessly at Sheldon as he said this. Sheldon quickly comforted Montez. "Don't worry, Montez. The president will be married soon and he'll usher in her new life before you know it. Don't worry so much."

Montez's mouth quivered.

He had wanted to say something, but couldn't get the words out.

He lowered his head and said nothing.

At this time, Preslie headed upstairs.

After Montez had left, Yesseca stayed upstairs and didn't come back down.

When Preslie went upstairs, she saw Yesseca still sitting down in a daze.

"Yesseca." Preslie called out to her.

But Yesseca didn't hear her.

Preslie walked up to her and shook her shoulder. Only then did Yessica stir and look up as Preslie.

Preslie laughed hollowly as she asked, "Yesseca, are you alright?"

Yesseca shook her head and said quietly, "Yes, I'm fine."

Preslie then said, "Then come down with me. It's almost the peak period for us. There will be a lot of customers coming in. I can't do it alone. You have to come down and help me." This wasn't true of course, Preslie had made it up.

She could tell that Yesseca was upset, she wanted to bring her downstairs to do some work to get her mind off things.

Yesseca got up.

And the two of them went back downstairs.

But just as she took one step, Yesseca suddenly stopped.

Preslie asked, "Yesseca?"

Yesseca looked out the window again.

The weather wasn't very good today. It was quite gloomy.

After looking outside, Yesseca turned away.

She then said softly, "I was just thinking about something."

"What's on your mind?"

"Maybe some people shouldn't have met each other in the first place."

Preslie was quiet.

She had no idea what Yesseca meant, but before she could ask her about it, Yesseca had already gone downstairs.

Tremaine had gone back to the Quartley Palace early today.

He was feeling restless today.

And he had no idea why.

It was clear to him that Yesseca

would never want to be with him ever again. He had also made up his mind of never wanting to be

entangled with her ever again. net

was also going to be married to another woman. But, after he had allowed Montez to see Yesseca today, he had been feeling very depressed.

Certain thoughts assaulted his mind all day.

What did Montez and Yesseca talk about?

How was Yesseca doing? Did he know that he was getting married? How did she react to the news?

These thoughts prevented him from

doing his work today. After learning that Sheldon had returned to Nashaland with Montez, Tremaine immediately left his office and headed home to the Quartley

Palace.

He found Montez and asked him what he had talked about with Yesseca.

Montez didn't say much. He simply repeated what she had told him, which was that Tremaine loved him very much. Tremaine was stunned to hear this.

He never expected Yesseca to even mention him to Montez.

And even if Montez were to mention him, Yesseca would only have things to complain about him.

But unexpectedly, Yesseca didn't have a bad thing to say about him. All she said was that he loved Montez very much.

Why would she suddenly say such a thing?

After being shocked for a while, Tremaine began to think of the possibilities.

He had misunderstood her and had driven her out of Nashaland. He did all that because of Montez.

He thought that Yesseca had wanted to hurt Montez, so he did those things to make sure that Montez would never get hurt.

Was Yesseca implying something by saying this?

Tremaine felt bitter inside.

After some time, Tremaine asked, "Is she doing alright?"

"She's doing very well." Montez added, "Yesseca even made me a drink and some dessert."

"Yes, I see." Tremaine looked a little lost. "That's good."

Just then, he had nothing else to ask and was about to walk away.

As he was moving away, Montez quickly said, "Yesseca knows that you are getting married."

Tremaine suddenly stopped in his tracks.

He turned around and stared at Montez.

"Yesseca said that she hopes that you're happy."

This was meant to be a sign of her blessings to him, but to Tremaine it felt like his heart had been struck by a thousand arrows.

Heh.

"She hopes I'm happy?"

She was wishing him well, knowing that he was going to marry another woman?

Didn't she know that no other woman on Earth could make him happy, except for her?

She was doing this on purpose!

"Is she mocking me?"

She despised him!

Had she told this to his son to deliver her message that was filled with irony and hate to him?

Tremaine's heart turned cold like ice.

Without another word, he turned around and left.

Tremaine returned to his bedroom.

There was a portrait hanging on the well.

It was a portrait of Yesseca in a wedding dress leaning into his embrace.

Tremaine stared at the portrait of Yesseca, his eyes surging with emotions.

After a while, he muttered, "Yesseca, I know that you hate me. You absolutely despise me."

He reached out his hand and gently stroked Yesseca's eyebrows on the painting. "But no matter how much you hate me, I still hope that you be happy. If marrying someone else and leaving you alone is what you want, then I'll do just that."

Yuliana went to see Madam Quartley.

Yuliana happened to overheard the conversation Montez had with Tremaine.

Yuliana was shocked to hear what they had talked about.

Montez had gone to see Yesseca! Tremaine had allowed him to!
