Sheldon thought for a moment and said, "I'm sure she's willing to see you."

He remembered how fond Yesseca was of Montez.

On top of that, he was just a little boy.

No matter how much Yesseca hated Tremaine, she was sure to be happy to see Montez.

"I think I may have badly hurt Yesseca." Montez said this as he touched the car window with his hand, "I had terribly misunderstood her back then and let her walk out of the Quartley Palace."

"I've... I've been a terrible person. I didn't believe in Yesseca when she needed me to." Montez said remorsefully.

"There, there, Montez." Sheldon comforted him. "I'm sure Miss Cowell will forgive you for all of that."

Montez was just an innocent young boy after all.

Back then, he was convinced that Qiana was his birth mother.

Any child would place complete trust on his own mother.

So it wasn't surprising to see Montez to have done

what he did.

Montez sniffed then looked up at Sheldon. His dark eyes were round and large, but they lacked the bright youthful glimmer it once had. "But Mr. Hawls, Yesseca isn't going to ever forgive my dad, us she?" Sheldon didn't know how to respond to that question.

He wasn't sure how much Montez knew about what had happened between Tremaine and Yesseca.

"She's definitely never going to forgive your dad." Seeing how quiet Sheldon was, Montez then murmured, "I know that's for certain, because dad is going to marry another woman."

"I know that my dad really loves Yesseca and wants to marry her. But I was against them getting married because I loved Yesseca too. I wanted to marry her after I had grown up."

"But now, I want Yesseca to marry my dad. Dad isn't the same person he was anymore, he's changed. He always looks so sad every day. If letting Yesseca go, so that she can be with my dad means that my dad will be happy again, I will happily do so." Montez's childish muttering rendered Sheldon speechless.

All he could do was pat Montez's head and say, "That's enough Montez. The president is going to be married soon. It would be impossible for him to marry Miss Cowell at this point. The president is simply giving you permission to visit Miss Cowell, that's all. As for all those things you said, don't repeat any of that in front of Miss Cowell."

Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped outside of Yessica's bakery.

Montez was confused. He turned to Sheldon and said, "Mr. Hawls, this isn't Yesseca's home."

Sheldon then explained, "Montez, Miss Cowell opened a bakery. She should be in there right now."

"Oh." Montez was surprised. "Yesseca's opened a bakery. It's such a big and lovely store."

"Comethen Montez. I'll walk you inside."

Montez hesitated and said softly, "Mr. Hawls, could you please go inside and tell Yesseca that I've come to see her? I'm afraid she might not want to see me."

Sheldon felt distressed seeing how careful Montez was.

He agreed right away. "Alright Montez, I'll go in and ask her right now."

Yesseca and Preslie were chatting with each other in the store.

They had just confirmed a large business deal.

The administrative manager of a large company loved the desserts they served in their bakery and has made a deal with them to supply their company with fresh desserts daily. Yesseca had just signed the contract with the manager.

Looking at the contract in her hand, Preslie exclaimed happily, "Oh Yesseca this is great! This deal is going to make us rich!"

Yesseca laughed, "Come on Preslie, don't just think about the money. This deal means we're going to have to make even more desserts than just the two of us can handle. We're going to have to hire more people and also source for more ingredients."

"Yes, yes, of course!" Preslie added,

"We may even have to expand toga second store. Yesseca, our dreams of becoming female president's of our own company is just around the corner!"

As soon as she said this, Sheldon stepped in.

He had just caught the last thing Preslie said as he walked in.

Sheldon felt a cold chill run down his spine.

Tremaine had remained in a

perpetual state of agony this whole time, yet these two had refused his repeated invitations to see him. On top of that, they were still busy talking about their dreams of becoming female presidents.

He wondered why he had to come and see these ruthless women today.

He was especially disappointed with Preslie's behavior today.

He had always seen Preslie as a good woman, but now...

As he thought of this, he purposefully ignored Preslie and said stiffly to Yessica, "Miss Cowell, could you please follow me outside. Montez would like to see you." Yesseca was startled.

She was already surprised by Sheldon's sudden appearance, now Montez was here as well.

Noticing that

responding to him, Sheldon

continued, "Miss Cowell, I know you to be a ruthless woman, but Montez is only a young boy. He doesn't deserve to be treated with such cruelty."

Preslie got upset when she heard this.

She herself hated being misunderstood and she wasn't pleased to see that happen to her best friend as well.

"Mr. Hawls!" Preslie exclaimed, "Yesseca is not a ruthless woman at all. You shouldn't call her that!"

"When Tremaine wasn't doing well, she had gone to see but was outright refused! She's not the cruel one here!" "That's because Yesseca,"

"Preslie, enough!" Yesseca interrupted.

But Preslie pressed on, "Yesseca! You should tell him what happened! Mr. Hawls obviously has no clue what happened! He's obviously unaware of what happened that day!" "Preslie!" Yesseca said. "I told you, that's enough!"

When she noticed how red Yesseca's face had turned, Preslie immediately stopped talking.

But she still murmured to herself, "If you won't say it, then fine. But the truth will set you free."

Sheldon didn't want to get caught up in their squabble.

He had brought Montez to see Yesseca!

So as long as Yesseca was agreeable to meeting with Montez, then he had completed his duty. As for everything else, he wasn't going to be involved.

"Miss Cowell, Montez has come all this way to see you in Agaphen City. Regardless of how upset you are, you do not need to be angry at him."

'TH see him." Yesseca said. "Bring Montez in."

Yesseca met with Montez upstairs in the lounge.

They hadn't seen each other in a very long time, but the two of them were very quiet.

They simply stared at each other.

After some time, Montez finally said, "Yesseca, I've really missed you."

As he said this, his lips trembled and his eyes glistened. He looked like he was about to cry.

Yesseca felt her heart melt seeing Montez like this.

She walked forward and hugged Montez. She then said, "I've missed you too Montez."

Even though she had a lot of bad memories of the Quartley Palace and of Tremaine.
