My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Faced with Selina's question, Yesseca was at a loss for words.

After a while, she managed to squeeze out a sentence. "Selina, why are you here?"

Selina said anxiously, "Don't worry about why I'm here! Tell me! Why are you here? And you're working?!"

Yesseca was wearing a shop assistant's uniform.

She had originally planned to tell Selina the truth, but she wanted to wait for an appropriate opportunity. Now that she was caught off guard, she subconsciously wanted to hide the truth. Yesseca didn't dare to look into Selina's eyes. "I haven't been here for a long time, so I came back to live and experience life again."

Selina was speechless.

Live and experience life?

What did this mean?

She did not understand, but Natalie understood slightly.

She said to Selina in a low voice, "Selina, I'm guessing that Yesseca has had the same thought as me, wanting to buy some retail clothes."

Selina now understood.

Natalie was now a rich and powerful woman but had still dragged her to a retail mall to shop.

Yesseca probably felt the same.

She was now the wife of a nation's President, but still wanted to experience the days when she was a shop assistant.

All of a sudden, the nervousness that Selina felt disappeared, and she burst into laughter.

She said to Yesseca, "Yesseca, you really are like Natalie, wanting to experience life."

After saying that, she saw Yesseca's nervous expression and patted Yesseca's hand. "If you want to experience life, then just enjoy it. Why do you look so nervous? I understand you." Yesseca was at a loss for words.

Yesseca had just blurted out those words because she was extremely nervous and was caught off guard. She had thought that Selina would never believe what she said, but who knew that she would? Yesseca didn't know what to say and could only smile awkwardly.

Selina still had a lot to say to Yesseca, but Natalie was still standing next to them. Knowing that Yesseca was here to experience life, and it wasn't good for her to interrupt, Selina then told Yesseca, "Come over to my house later tonight for dinner. Natalie and I will leave now."

Yesseca's gaze wandered as she nodded.

Selina did not think much about it and left with Natalie.

When the both of them left, Yesseca immediately became worried.

She didn't know why she had been able to hide it from Selina so smoothly.

But it didn't mean that she could hide it from Selina forever.

After all, Matthew was going to be home that night.

She knew that Matthew was smarter and more attentive than Selina.

Yesseca finally decided.

Forget it.

Since she had originally decided to tell them both the truth, why not just tell them today, since fate had arranged for her to be invited to Selina's house for dinner that night? Otherwise, she would have to lie again.

She was not good at lying. What's more, she knew that they would eventually see through her lies.

On the other hand, Natalie bought the clothes she wanted.

They were all clothes within 300 dollars.

While Natalie was trying on her clothes, the shop assistant had praised how good the clothes looked on her and that she somehow elevated the value of the clothes she wore.

Selina chimed in, "How can my

sister-in-law not look good? After all, she is a rich woman from a famous family. Her husband is a well-known rich man in the world."

The shop assistant was speechless.

Although she'd felt that Natalie was elegant, she had never expected Natalie to be a rich woman. After all, why would any rich person shop here?

It was a joke.

The shop assistant thought that these two women were just bragging!

However, they were the customers. Of course the shop assistant would never voice out her thoughts. She smiled and nodded.

After shopping, Selina and Natalie left the mall.

After getting in the car, Natalie suddenly said, "Selina, I think time has passed really quickly." "Hmm?" Selina didn't know why Natalie said that. Natalie laughed.

Maybe she was feeling a little nostalgic from buying those clothes.

Many years ago, even buying clothes was a luxury for her.

She usually bought clothes worth only tens on the mall.

But now, clothes worth hundreds were cheap to her.

Natalie thought of the past and realized that time flew.

She glanced at her own face in the rearview mirror and said, "I feel that I'm old."

"You're not old." Selina immediately said, "Natalie, I can guarantee that you haven't become old at all. You are still as young and beautiful as you were when I first saw you."

Natalie said, "Selina, you're still as sweet as before. Not only do you look sweet, but your mouth is also sweet."

Selina laughed and said, "But Natalie, you've changed a little."

"Where did I change?"

"You're not as unexpected as you used to be," she said without thinking.

Natalie was stunned.

She couldn't help but laugh loudly.

In the past, she always did things that shocked people.

She wore strange clothes and sang weird songs in the bar, and did all kinds of puzzling things.

"God knows what your brother thought of me when I did such things," Natalie could not help but say.

She thought that if she were a man, she would never fall in love with herself.

A person that did unexpected things, whose brain would only humor herself.

Selina said in a serious tone, "Natalie, if you weren't you, my brother might not like you, because my brother's taste is cultivated to how you are."

Hearing that made Natalie laugh even harder.

Seeing Natalie laughing, Selina also laughed.

After some time, their laughter finally stopped.

Selina was about to tear up. She

added, "No wonder you claimed that time passed by so fast. And, indeed it does. It's been so long since the first time I met you."

"Yes, it is." Natalie said, "There's a saying that time flies. It's true that time flies like an arrow."

In the blink of an eye, she and Selina had been together for so long, and their children had grown up.

"Yes," Selina continued, "I was still a young girl then, but now I am the mother of two."

Natalie sighed softly. "We're now old women."

Selina did not agree with what Natalie said.

She said, "No, Natalie, we are not old women. We are still 18. Although our physical age is different, we should always feel that we are 18 in our hearts!"
