Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back

Chapter 60

Adam came back to his senses, and his face darkened in an instant.
It wasn't because of Arthur's words, but because he couldn't control his emotion.
"You like her so much.I wonder how long she can stay in the Williams Family."
Suppressing his anger, Adam replied coldly.
Arthur looked at him but didn't get angry.
Instead, he walked into the hall and waved at Rebecca, who had already walked in and was looking around.
"Becca, this way!"
Hearing his voice, Rebecca looked over.
She smiled and walked over when she saw Arthur and Adam standing behind him.
"Arthur.How are you?"
"I'm fine"
Arthur nodded with satisfaction when he saw Rebecca approaching.
"You look good in this dress."
Rebecca smiled faintly.
"Thank you, Arthur. We went shopping this afternoon, and it was Adam's choice."
Arthur nodded again, checked his watch, and said, "It's almost time. You and Adam should go greet them."
"Sure.”Rebecca agreed and looked at Adam, who was standing not far away
.Adam was also looking at her.His eyes became darker when their gazes met. Then, without waiting for Arthur to ask him to do
so, he walked over.
Rebecca watched him walk over without any emotions in her eyes.

"Let's go!"
Adam came over and then walked past her.
In the past, Adam would put the act on in front of Arthur, but now, he didn't even bother to act.
He couldn't make himself do so anymore.
Rebecca nodded and agreed, "Okay: Then she turned around and followed him.
It was still October in New Orleans, and the wind by the lake was cool at night.
Rebecca was only wearing a thin dinner dress, and most of her shoulders and calves were exposed to the air.
She shivered a bit.
Just as Rebecca followed him further out of the building and almost shivered again because of the chilliness, Adam suddenly
took off his suit jacket and put it on her shoulder.
Rebecca was surprised.
Rebecca froze and looked at him.
She even forgot how to breathe.
Rebecca's phone vibrated at this moment.
The vibration pulled her back into reality.
Rebecca looked down and saw Justin's name on the screen.
Just as she was about to answer, a large hand reached out and snatched the phone from her.
"Who said you could use your cell on such an important occasion?"
His voice was low and deep, clearly filled with rage.
Rebecca looked up at him, but he had already given her phone to the assistant standing behind him.
He said with no emotions, "Put it back in our room."

"Sure, Mr.Williams."
The assistant took the phone, replied respectfully, and turned to leave.
Rebecca looked at them and said nothing.
Adam shot aclod glance at Rebecca and walked forward.
Rebecca let out a sigh, gathered the suit on her shoulders.
It smelled and felt like Adam.
She followed him.
However, just a few steps later, Adam's phone rang as well.
When he took it out, Rebecca clearly saw the name "Linda" on the screen.
Then, Adam held the phone and answered it in front of her.
"Linda"
"Yes, I'm in New Orleans."
"About three to four days.Wait for me and be good."
"I heard she came here with her professor.’ Rebecca stood aside and listened to their conversation.
Although she couldn't hear what Linda had said, it was not difficult to guess from Adam's answer.
Linda was asking about her.
"Then go downstairs and buy some food"
"Remember not to get your hand wet while you take a shower.Go to the hospital tomorrow and let them take a look at it.’
"Don't come over.I'll be busy these days, and my father is here.I might not be able to meet you."
"Well, be good.I'll go and see you as soon as I go back."

"Okay.Go and get a bite.I have to go now.I'll call you later.’ Rebecca stood next to Adam, looking at his deep, gentle eyes and
listening to him saying indulgent words to another woman.
She glared at his suit on her and felt the scene was ironic.
"Why didn't you tell Miss Green that I'm with you?"
She didn't know what made her say this, but she asked Adam abruptly when he hung up the phone.
Adam put his phone away and stared at her.His low voice suddenly became cold and deep.
He questioned her, "What do you want, Rebecca?"
Rebecca smiled blankly.
"Nothing."
"Rebecca!"
Looking at her, Adam said with extra seriousness, "Remember who you are.Don't do anything that makes me hate you more.’
Rebecca didn't move her gaze away and nodded slightly, "Fine"
Just then, two black Rolls-Royces pulled over and slowly stopped.
Adam saw them and quickly eased his cold and stiff expression.
He walked towards the cars, and Rebecca followed him.
"Adam!"
Just as Adam was approaching, one door opened.
A brisk female figure threw herself into Adam's arms and hugged him with passion.
It was a young girl.
Rebecca knew her as Wendy, the daughter of Paul Lee.

His company was the largest electrical appliances company in the South East area of the States, which naturally made Wendy
as number one socialite in the area.
Her debutante ball was held in France luxuriously.
"Wendy"
Adam hugged her politely, then released her and pulled her off his body.
"Adam, where did you go recently? I went to New York, but you weren't there. Were you avoiding me on purpose?"
Wendy pouted and questioned Adam.
Adam smiled but didn't answer her.
Instead, he looked at Paul, who got out of the other car.
He reached out his hand and said politely, "Mr.Lee, welcome. My father has been waiting in the Purple Hall."
Paul shook Adam's hand and nodded approvingly.
"You've grown to a great young man! You're much more outstanding than your father was back then."
"Mr.Lee, I'm flattered.I try to learn as much as I can from your generation.’ Adam smiled.
He was extremely humble and polite in front of outsiders.
"Good evening, Mr.and Miss Lee.Welcome!"
Rebecca went over after Adam had delivered his greeting.
She smiled and greeted them.
