Joshua looks innocent and curious as he waited for Benjie's answer about his question to him - if Bryan de Vera was really the visitor they had the last night.

"Yes, it was him," Benjie answered.

"I didn't know that you're friends with the de Veras," Joshua said. "Well, you know, my parents told us a different story once about you and that family... I'm sorry for being nosy. I'm just curious."

"It's okay," Benjie assured him. "Truth is, the story that your parents told you is right. We used to be not in good terms with the de Veras. But it's time to change that because Bryan is now the boyfriend of Angel. So I guess, we really need to reconcile with their family."

"Bryan is Angel's boyfriend? " Joshua's eyes moved to Angel.

Angel's heart seems to beat five times faster as he saw Joshua look at her suspiciously. She suddenly wondered what that look on his face means. Somehow, she's aware that not only once did he saw them eating lunch together, and that might serve as a proof that they really could have a romantic relationship together.

"That's right," Benjie confirmed. "It was a very long story. We were also shocked, really."

Joshua gave Angel a meaningful look, like she has a secret that he unraveled that he could use to blackmail her.

"We'll go ahead, Joshua," Alice said. "We need to prepare for the mass on the village chapel. We don't want to be late."

He looked at her intently. "Don't tell me, Gina doesn't know about this? That you and Bryan are having a secret affair?"

That's what Angel fears he would say. "Joshua, it's very hard to explain. It's very complicated..."

"What if he tells Gina about it?"

Alex followed Angel to her room.

"Ate, why did you just let Joshua leave like that? He might reveal everything to Gina."

"We can't do anything about it," Angel said. 'We cannot tell him the truth."

Alex contemplated. "Let's tell him that Gina is the one lying."

Alex sighed. "So what are we going to do now?"

"Nothing," Angel said.

"What if Gina comes and attack you?"

It was Angel's turn to think deeply. "I still don't know how... But, promise me you won't tell Richard what happened."

"Ate-"

"Please, Alex! Let's just tell them everything when we already found a solution to this. Let's not depend too much on them. That won't be right."

Alex looked at her sister worriedly. She can see that Angel is really worried about the outcome of what happened, but she remained quiet as she requested. What she needs to do now is show support for her decision. That's why she will follow whatever she wants her to do.
