I didn’t think she wanted to come see me in the first place.

After all, she didn’t want to see me when I was alive, let alone now that I was an ugly corpse.

She didn’t wanna see her reputation and Wendy get implicated. She cared about no one but Wendy.

The forensic doctor handed her the preliminary examination report. “The preliminary test shows that the victim died ten days ago, with multiple fractures and signs of beating, including but not limited to sticks, hammers, electric shocks, and whips.

“Sign the consent form for autopsy now, and I will further determine the fatal injury.”

My mom stared at the handwriting on the examination report for a long time without saying a word.

It took so long that the forensic doctor urged her to sign the autopsy report again.

She seemed to have regained her senses this time and said in a hoarse voice, “She went to be reformed. How come she had so many injuries?

“The reform institution is very famous. How could they let this happen to a kid?”

Even now, my mom still subconsciously blamed me.
