Mistake with the Alpha

Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 113

Jaylen's POV

Allison's thought might be evil towards Sam but nothing pointed her as the culprit. It just showed that she was really happy that this was happening. I was really stuck in the middle of all these happenings.

Then Alvin's father stepped out. Immediately, Alvin's face turned to a scowl. He didn't know what his father had to say to all these. It's not as if he got himself involved in the past. There was a time he even told me to follow my heart and not what others say. "Your highness, I only have one question to ask" he said to Brock.

He didn't even face me at all.

"She's been sent to Hades's prison for a while now. How come she looks so fresh like someone who is in paradise, if she's not truly a witch?"

Alvin's father's question wasn't biassed at all. I had made sure to take care of Sam very well. She's pregnant and I wouldn't want anything to happen to her. I respect Alvin's father a lot because he's a man of wisdom. Him coming out to say this, meaning he had thought about it over and over again.

"Because since we know the hade's, only the strong survive it and even in their surviving, they will look like someone whom the gods have struck. But look at her, she's none of that".

He pointed at Sam. I looked at that beautiful woman there. If not for what is happening, a lot of male here would have wanted to have her. Everyone starts to murmur at what Alvin's father said. I then noticed that Alvin and his father were exchanging looks. I then saw that Alvin was mind linking his father to stay out of the issue but the man was proving stubborn.

"I was the one who took her out of the hades's prison" I said blankly.

Loud murmuring started from the crowd and even Sam looked at me with shock. Her pink lips slightly opened. She didn't expect me to say that. "Silence!" Brock growled.

"I know that your thoughts are that I'm a very irresponsible Alpha. Not that you aren't right. You thought that I deceived you, not a lie....."

I paused. They were all concentrating on me.

"Remember I've always put you all first in everything I do? Since I was born, to the time I attained Alphahood, even till now, your priorities are my priorities. I've never placed myself above you. But then, this woman you all want me to burn is the only thing that gives me joy. I've never experienced the kind of joy I've experienced when I'm with her before now......"

I paused, looked at the people and then at Sam. Everywhere was so silent. People were thinking. Brock looked at me and gave me a stiff smile. Sam was begging me not to take side of her. She said this was her fate but I don't believe that. I would fight for her. "But Alpha, she's a witch and a wicked one at that".

Someone said from the crowd.

To that I didn't know what to say. I know Sam is not a witch but how do I prove to them that she's not what they think she is. I have to give them full evidence that she's not a witch and she couldn't do what she's been accused of. I must find one that did all these and falsely accused Sam but do I have such time?

"Alpha, what if you are under the influence of her magic?" Another asked from the crowd.

This made another phase of murmurings to arise. It was really a very good point that I can't defend. If I say I'm not, they would say how do I know. If I don't talk, they would believe what has been said. I then sighed.

"Which one is better? A life filled with sadness without magic, or a life filled with joy that was instigated by magic?"

This question got everyone confused and in a tight corner. If they had said that they would choose a life of sadness without magic, it would have been a blatant lie. If they chose the second option it would have been in support of Sam. So everyone was silently thinking so hard in their heart.

"If you let your true mate in your life, you would have experienced a better and peaceful joy" Omar came out to say.

Everyone agreed with him. I looked at Omar. I can't blame the man. His daughter is my mate so he would say what he just said. He's a father that has his daughter's interest at heart.

"Son, once she's dead, all your love for the witch will disappear and you'll be free from her spell. Your mother and the rest will be able to wake up. Then only you'll live a beautiful life with your mate".

My father's words were like a father advising his son. His voice was very plain and serious. I looked at Sam. She was also looking at me. In her heart she was saying she doesn't mind dying for love. I know Sam, she's not a witch. I'm sure about it.

"I wouldn't say she's a witch...."

The pack house physician stepped out. With the content of his heart, he is here to save Sam. I didn't know that there's still someone alive that would be on Sam's side.

"What do you have to say?" Omar said angrily.

"The last time our Luna beat up Sam with silver, giving her numerous strokes....."

"Get on to what you are saying!" Omar retorted.

He didn't want people to remember that awful incident. Sam has begun to gain favour from people then because they thought Allison was too cruel to be a Luna. That was the reason they made up lies against her pregnancy.

"Her injuries were so deep that I thought she wouldn't survive but then not only did she survive, she also made all the sick in the clinic recover fast. Even those medically, they wouldn't recover. Should then that kind of person who is so generous to share her healing power be called a witch?"
