Miss, My Father loves you

Chapter 8 The Woman He Was Obsessed With

The party that Jackson hosted was held in one of the Boss Club's private rooms. The dim lights made the place mysterious and inviting. This, along with the lively beat of the music, gave people a sense of rush and excitement.

The room was filled with scantily-clad women. Every woman tried their best to impress the director.

Everyone except Daryl.

Five years of married life made Daryl conservative and introverted. She had been struggling with her selfesteem for as long as she could remember. She was too shy to wear halter tops and short skirts. Besides, she wasn't too keen on showing off the marks that the strange man had left on her body that night.

She picked for herself a long, white dress partnered with high heels. She hadn't worn high heels for five years. She tried her hardest to relax. Jackson had seen countless women. He might not even remember her. She kept reminding herself that no matter what Jackson did to her, she would endure it.

In the private room,

Jackson, with a flattering smile on his face, sat at the table. There were countless of pictures of beauties laid down on it. He gazed at the pictures and rubbed his chin. "Mr. Ji, what did you think of these women? Is there anyone to your liking?"

A man was resting in the middle of the sofa. Anyone who looked at him would immediately know that he was of great stature. He didn't open his mouth, but the pressure he gave off was palpable. Jackson wasn't discouraged by the lack of response. He continued in a flattering voice, "There's still one person left. I swear she is a beauty. Would you like to have her interviewed in person, Mr. Ji?" Jackson's eyes lit up when he saw the last photo. He swallowed unconsciously.

Emily Gu was 25 years old a little older compared to the other girls, but she possessed grace and charm that was undeniable despite her age.

She had a delicate face alongside her perfect figure. Her skin must be as white as ivory under all those clothes. If she took them off, people would be enchanted.

How sweet would it be if he managed to get his hands on her?

However, the more Jackson looked at Emily Gu, the more he felt a nagging sense of familiarity.

Daryl pushed the door open and entered the room. What she saw had left her stunned. Under the neon light, she saw a familiar face.

Zack.

Just yesterday, the powerful man had sent her to the police station. Needless to say, he had a huge prejudice against her.

Zack finally raised his eyes, looking at Daryl as she walked in. He was very handsome, wearing a plain white shirt and a tailored suit. Even in the club, he seemed to be uninfluenced by other people. This made Daryl pause. After a beat, she continued to walk up to Jackson, pretending to not see the man on the sofa.

"Director, I'm Emily Gu. May we start the interview?"

Taking a deep breath, Daryl stood at the middle of the room where she tried to look calm.

She changed her name because the last thing she wanted was to be recognized by Jackson. What she didn't expect was for Zack to be here. She was afraid that she might get exposed by him. Jackson couldn't take his eyes off Daryl. He could feel his blood rushing to his head, making him feel a little dizzy.

The woman was even more eye-catching in person. Her face was enchanting, glowing under the lights. Her long, straight legs were covered, but the little that was exposed was enough to make people's blood boil.

The white dress was flawless. More so because it left a lot for people's imagination.

Her heels gave her a lift, highlighting the slenderness of her legs and her figure.

Clearing his throat, Jackson said, "Well, Mr. Ji is the real boss here. Emily, you show him what kind of talent you have."

Being stared at by Zack made Daryl feel uneasy. Her mind was shouting at her, telling her to run away, but she fought against the impulse.

"Sure. I hope you'll like my performance, Mr. Ji." Daryl slightly raised her eyebrows and smiled suggestively. She then eased herself into the beat of the music and danced.

Her body was lithe and flexible and she knew it. Every move she made was filled a heady mixture of grace and sexuality.

Jackson rubbed his chin and looked at her with his eyes half closed. She looked so innocent when she was standing there; he had a hard time believing that the very same woman was now dancing sensually before them.

The two men gazed at her intently. No words were uttered until she was done dancing.

"Director, since when has we begun to accept liars?" Zack asked.

Daryl's heart sank. It was as if a glass of cold water was thrown onto her face.

Jackson was confused. "What?"

"As far as I know, this Emily here was a popular star in the

entertainment industry five years ago. At that time though, her name was not Emily Gu. Miss Ye,

don't you tell him your na Why?

yourself?" Zack tapped on his knee with his slender fingers.

Daryl couldn't help but clench her fists. Her face turned pale.

She knew that Zack wouldn't let her go that easily, but she still had to try. "I'm sorry Mr. Ji, but it seems like you got the wrong person." She let out a nervous laugh. Jackson squinted at her.

Was there a popular actress

'n

surnamed Ye five years ago? He rummaged through his mind, trying to hold on any possible clue. He stared at her, hoping that her face would trigger something, anything. And then he remembered,

"Daryl Ye!"

The little bitch who had been stuck in his mind for years!

No wonder she looked so familiar!

Jackson stood up, grinning from ear to ear. He couldn't help himself. He strode to the woman. "Daryl, I missed you so much. You've been gone for so long!" He turned to the man watching them from the sofa. "Mr., to tell you the truth, Daryl is an old acquaintance. I just didn't recognize her. Who would've thought that after all these years, she would just get more and more attractive?"

He raised his hand, about to caress Daryl's face.

"Director, I swear you've got the wrong person. I'm not Daryl!" She immediately took a step back. She was shaking in anger. Her mind was racing, thinking about how to get out of the situation she had put herself in.

It was as if a gust of cold wind blew into the room. Zack finally, broke his silence. "Get your hands off her and get out!"

His sharp eyes swept over the two and fell on Jackson's hand.

"What?" Before Jackson could even react, guards held him and threw him out by his clothes.

There were only two people left in the room-Zack and Daryl.

Dim lights illuminated the massive room. The only sound that could be heard was the music.

Despite the darkness, his eyes shone with a cold and frightening light. Daryl felt herself choking up. She wanted to escape. But as she started to turn away, her wrist was gripped tightly by a strong hand. Before she knew it, she found herself being thrown into the wall. Her heart raced, especially when she felt the man breathing onto her neck.
