Mate ...s ?!?!

Chapter Chapter Seven

[Jace’s POV]

Watching my little Omega with his friend had my insides burning. He was afraid of me rejecting him, something I could never do. I felt like a large pile of shit. There was no excuse for my actions and I had no idea what I was going to tell Jax and then to Orion. I never even knew Orion had been in the house that night. If I had known he was I don’t think I would have said all of those things. I would have taken him from that fucking house that is for damn sure. I would have beat the shit out of Kinder a long time ago for putting his hands on what was always supposed to be mine. He never should have put such fear into his own brother like he had.

I knew trusting that bastard the way I had was going to come back to bite me in the ass one day. I sighed and looked over to my twin who was driving. Jax looked happy that he had convinced Orion to come home with us, but it had to be under the condition that Cassie came with us. Orion was not going anywhere new without her and had made that very clear to us. She was his best friend and there was something else there but neither one of them wanted to say much about it.

Cassie had explained that when they had become friends Orion had become like her pup and she had been taking care of him ever since. However, she was still in training to become a Female Warrior of the Pack and having Orion to watch over had not helped her training at all. She had never wavered though, saying it had been her duty to care for him. Like a mother to a child, something I didn’t understand. They were the same age but she mothered him like it was just a natural thing for them.

I had felt even worse for that night I had ranted my sadness when Cassie had explained to me the consequences my harsh words had on him. Orion may have never have wanted to be Mates to the Alphas, but he had felt that if I had felt so harshly against someone that could possibly be my own Mate, so would everyone else. I was pissed finding out that he had been on punishment for something he hadn’t done that night, but I couldn’t change the past only promise a better future for him. One without fear and one filled with love and protection.

I knew I had a lot to prove to Orion but I didn’t care how long it took I was going to show him that I wanted him. I wanted his love and everything that came with it. I wanted him to know I had made a mistake and that I would do anything to make up for it.

We got to the house and we all climbed out, Cassie had just pulled Orion with her. He was shaking against her, he was so scared. I looked over to Jax who wore the same worried face I did and sighed. There was no way he was going to get over this until we did something about it and made more of a connection with him. It was like he was waiting for some kind of punishment.

‘We need to tag him.’ I thought to my twin on our link. I got a shocked look from him but then it turned into a sly smile and a slight nod. Instead of punishment how about a reward?

We crept up on either side of Orion and Cassie, Jax slipped in between him and Cassie and we lifted our little Omega up to our height. Bringing him close to us and mashing him between us. We planted kisses to the sides of his face, feeling his cheeks heat up with shock.

“You can’t get rid of us that easily. You will be all right we promise.” Jax whispered to him as we nuzzled against his neck, purring happily at the scent that invaded our noses. The surge of electricity from our combined touches was beyond euphoric and Orion was enjoying it just as much as we were by the look on his little face.

“We will love and protect you if you will only let us.” I added, licking his neck gently, as a little bit of a tease. He shivered from my touch as we could feel his body become more pliable in our grasp. He was so soft between us. I was actually afraid we might hurt him if we hugged him to hard.

We let him slip onto his own feet, making sure he was steady as we released him. He was definitely dazed by our actions. I smiled and saw that Jax was smiling too. I may have started us off in a hard place but I think we could get better. If Orion would just let us try, the three of us could be the best ruling couple around. I could just feel it.

Orion shook his head as if to clear it and looked up at us. “I d-don’t know how.” he whimpered, tears shining in his eyes as he looked at us. There was hope in his eyes, but there was still that fear of the unknown that had him pulling away from us a little.

We smiled down at him and kissed his cheeks again. “Get to know us, let us get to know you. Let’s start there.” Jax said as he pulled away from him, pulling me with him. I didn’t want to let Orion go but I did and we led them into the house that hopefully Orion would come to think of his own.

Orion looked over to Cassie who gave an encouraging nod and smile, before he turned back to us, still shy as hell and a little scared. “O-ok.” he whispered before we whooped and pulled both of them into the house behind us for the next few days. We were hoping that our parents would let Cassie stay for at least the weekend but Orion was never leaving this house again. He was our Mate and he lived here now.
