Chapter Chapter Fifty-One
[Jace’s POV]
We sat there at that one spot for hours as Jax thought about whatever he was thinking about. I was thinking about Orion and how scared he had to be without us. I was hoping he had not slipped into his headspace but I was more worried about this feeling I felt deep in my gut. Telling me that something was more than wrong with my little Mate.
I didn’t think he would have been too scared because of who his real mother is but we still haven’t heard anything from the Goddess or Orion. She either can’t help or won’t and Orion must not be able to reach out to us at all. Somehow, he is fully blocked from us and that scared me beyond reason.
How many beings were able to do things such as that? How many supernatural beings could actually control a Wraith and live? They fed from their masters, just to keep the bond strong and permanent. They were creatures of pure darkness and needed the darkness around them to survive.
I was trying to think about what type of creatures could possibly be powerful enough to control a Wraith when an idea came to me. Something Orion had said to us earlier about Cilla and why Orion had come to the mortal world.
“What if it’s not a Wraith, Jax?” I asked aloud. The Witches and Warlocks could only command a Wraith for a few hours before their souls were consumed by the darkness so they tended not to call on that type of force for help.
However, a Demon would have no problems with controlling a Wraith or even a few of them. Demons are evil creatures by nature and usually they were the things everyone hunted. They had lived in peace with the rest of society until one Demon had come forth to claim their throne. Afterwards the Demons waged an all-out war on the other supernaturals. Their King out for the blood of everyone.
It was a basic history of our kind and how our society now worked because of everything the supernaturals had been put through because of the Demons.
“What do you think it could be Jace?” Jax questioned as he turned to look at me curiously.
“A Demon.” I replied getting a string of curse words from my twin.
“What in the hell would a Demon want with Orion?!” he shouted angrily as he punched a tree. The crack in the trunk had the tree toppling over with a loud thud that echoed in the distance.
“Think of it brother, a Demon would want the White Wolf. Their powers are far greater than any other Wolf. Plus, there is the fact that Orion is the son of our Goddess so he has divine blood in his veins. If his captor has any idea of that, we are running out of time.” I said as I began to race off in another direction. I wanted answers and there was only one place I knew I could get them.
Simone Delarosa.
The only White Witch in our Territory.
